Unilocalers, you were all right! This place is delicious. We waited for the tucked away food trucks to open at 10AM. Sad to see this one wasn’t opening until 11, but with good reason — I mean who else(besides me) wants ice cream that early anyways. And after a displeasing experience at another close truck, and being that it was nearly 11AM when we had finished our food, I had my group wait until Snow Factory opened to eat my anger away. Cookies and cream is my go-to — all day, everyday. So naturally I had requested that. The gentleman handling the truck asked if I had wanted condensed milk and mochi balls. Again, based on other Unilocal reviewer encouraging others to try it, I gave it the green light. And I am sure glad I did. This stuff was amazing. So light, so fluffy. I wish it never ended. Thanks so much for the great customer service, I think I might have to take one more trip up there before I head back to what should be right now, snow city Anchorage!

So so so good!!! Twice as good as shave ice or ice cream. I love this place. We had the coffee flavor which was bomb! Also had strawberry banana and that was the best of all of them. We tried vanilla, it was foos. We liked(not loved) the mint as well as the cookies and cream.

Nosh and Nibble came here for dessert and we had a Mocha Chocolate Snow Ice(~$ 8). This came with coffee flavoured snow ice, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, and mochi balls. The coffee taste in this pillowy dessert was quite potent which I liked, but there was also a ton of syrup which helped the warm weather melt the snow ice even faster so I don’t think ordering this is a good idea if you are going to eat solo and are a slow eater. The mochi balls were fun coloured and such, but were very sweet and just tasted like sugary rice flour. It’s a shame that the syrup was so detrimental to the snow ice because otherwise it tasted pretty good. I think some of the other options might be good here but the coffee mocha was quite middle of the road, especially considering the«mocha» part of this was due to adding chocolate syrup on top of coffee snow ice. I’d recommend going with your favourite flavours and skipping any of the syrups and mochi balls.

It’s clean! Young lady was friendly! And it was a fast service. Seriously, it does melt in your mouth like snow. If you take a close look also to you snow you can literally see the flakes of snow. It’s something fun to try in Hawaii when it’s burning hot! Great delicious invention.

After lunch we tried a local flavor, snow ice cream: a cross between ice cream and shaved ice. It had the texture of powdered snow and was fluffy and refreshing. The portion looks huge, but it really isn’t. It is so fluffy that is just melts and is addicting to eat. The condensed milk is also a wonderful addition. Seriously, try it out. You will not be disappointed.

I got cookies and cream in a large to share with my family of 4. It was more than big enough and was delicious! I’m glad we stumbled upon this place for a quick special treat.

Unbelievably creamy texture and delicious flavors. Had the coconut and pineapple ice with condensed milk — so tasty.

Omg… the only thing you’ll think of as you’re eating this is ‘get into my belly’. The snow is so light and fluffy and melts away in pure bliss the moment you scoop it into your mouth. It’s not too sweet and very refreshing. I got an order to share with my bf after grabbing lunch at Giovanni’s. I swore I’d only have one bite… I pretty much ate about half of it. I personally am a fan of snow versus shaved ice and this place does it exceptionally well.

I WISH they had these guys here on the mainland. Oh man, the lychee snow and green tea snow were incredible! I was admit-ably drooling at the mouth for more. They have a good selection of flavors of the snow and they also have shave ice. I experienced the«popping tapioca pearls» here for the first time and I tell you it was the best thing I have ever had. I was thinking«imaging these in boba pearl tea drinks». This is located next to Giovanni’s shrimp truck lot in North Shore of Oahu. You need to try this and experience the Heavenly Aloha for yourself. Thank me later. :)

It was a different kind of shaved ice. Green Tea was not my favorite but I don’t like tea so don’t listen to me. Pink lemonade was really good and the shaved ice was really nice, it’s like thick and weird but I really liked it.

Very, very good! I’ve never had anything like it! Snow cones have nothing on snow! I was skeptical about getting the cookies and cream because it just seemed a little weird to me, but t turned out to be the greatest tasting thing ever! Located right next to Giovanni’s shrimp truck, which makes a good meal and desert.

This is very different but yummy! I go the mango and lilikoi with passion balls and Mochi balls over ice cream. What a yummy treat… Yeah I might crave these!

I loved the shaved texture of this Hawaiian Shaved Ice. I could not find another place near Waikiki that had this. We had the strawberry banana which has sweetened condensed milk. I was wary of this combination but it worked. Also, the bursting boba! You have to try. Besides this is what the taste buds needed after the spicy shrimp from the Giovanni truck a few yards away.

We had tried shaved ice at 2 of the most recommended spots in Haleiwa… then we came here. Thus shaved snow was hands down the best… the rest are glorified snow cones. The delicate structure and flavor is like nothing I have ever had. A must stop when on the north Shore.

Got half strawberry and half taro with mochi(of course)! Next to the shrimp truck so great place to get lunch and dessert! Surprisingly it was not busy but I don’t know why not! I’d rather get snow than shaved ice! mmMm!

Over the weekend my stunning BFF and I decided to go galavanting on the Eastside of Oahu. It’s been fun times and we’ve played in tide pools, explored hidden gems, searched for sea shells, walked through the bush, partied like rock stars, found a neat hotdog stand, and finally had the chance to try… SNOWFACTORY(THETRUCK)! This review is based on the food truck that was located at Sandy’s Beach! I believe this is the same truck that is also found on the North Shore! Whatever the case… I’m parking my review here since I couldn’t locate the«food truck check-in» on the Eastside! After a fun shoreline hike… we head down to Sandy’s for hotdogs and some shade under a leafy tree. We also noticed the Snow Factory Food Truck, so of course we decided to give it a go too! My BFF treated me to Lilikoi Snow Ice w/Mochi & Passion Balls! Delicious! She had the Chocolate Snow Ice w/Mochi & Chocolate Syrup! She thoroughly enjoyed hers, too! I mean she inhaled hers! Whoa! For me, I tasted every bite and lick and found it quite refreshing! Lighter than a Shave Ice — for the dessert purists out there! Snow Ice is considered to have origins from Taiwan, the cold and creamy dessert, also known as Shaved Snow or «Xue Hua Bing», is a cross between Ice Cream & Shave Ice! Okay, It’s definitely different from heavier Hawaiian Shave Ice! I still prefer Hawaiian Shave Ice, but I have no complaints per my empty bowl! She paid $ 10(tax included) for the two of us, so it seems a tad cheaper than the brick and mortar shops that serve the same type of desserts. It worked on this Hawaiian day after a hot and sweaty hike! Mmm. No complaints! So yes, I can recommend… SNOWFACTORY(THETRUCK)! Snow Ice might not be satisfying enough for the Shave Ice aficionados out there, but for me, it was a light and refreshing dessert! Many like to stuff themselves with dessert to consider it good, but for some, we like to taste every spoonful. It was good. Well, good enough. Mmm. OVERALLGRADE: 4.0-STARS!(SOLID!) Is it ice cream? No. Is it shaved ice? No. Is it frozen yogurt? No! Honestly I don’t know what it is exactly but it is amazing. It taste like something clouds would taste light. Super light. Super yummy. Nothing I have ever tasted. I had the Nutella and it was amazing. Add some toppings to add flavor since it is very light. I added mochi and chocolate to mine. After some Giovanni’s shrimp truck, walk over to this place.

My husband left us at the shrimp truck tables and went to fetch the car. He returned five minutes later car-less but with a bowl of snow. Brown snow. Brown coffee snow with caramel drizzle and mochi balls and a vanilla ice cream center. My husband gets ten points for bringing me the best frappucino-esque delight I have ever had. We will be purchasing this confection EVERYTIME we eat at the shrimp truck. Or Cajun truck when the wait isn’t one hundred years. So that means we will be eating this at least once a year, which is hardly enough to keep them afloat. So please people, go to the Snow Factory truck every time you hit up the Haleiwa trucks so they stay in business and I’m not bitterly disappointed a year from now when there is an open dirt space instead of a truck full of snow. Do it for the people. My people. Which is me. Thank you.

What to eat after a plate of Giovanni’s shrimp plate? Look no further than the truck to the left! After popping my Giovanni’s cherry, my friend and I sauntered a few paces to study this truck’s menu. There was a line of five or six people waiting to order. While studying, we talked to a few surfer dudes(where else, but in North Shore) who were obviously familiar with the menu. Listening to their orders, I decided on the pineapple coconut with strawberry balls( )(no… not that kind!). The ice was silky smooth and the pineapple flavor was delish while the coconut was on the subtle side. The strawberry balls were a nice addition to make things more interesting. I can imagine the guy who mistakenly orders a spicy shrimp plate running here to soothe his mouth! My friend let me try her passion fruit ice and balls which were more flavorful. Be patient ordering here as the ice guy takes four or five orders and then makes those delicious bowls. When all orders are served, he will then start taking orders again. Will be back and looking forward to them passion fruit balls!
