Just drove from Brookfield there to get a specific beer, was told by the presumably owner they sold out, then minutes after returning home saw others posting they had just purchased said beer but had to be buying other items to be able to purchase. If I was told that I would have easily grabbed a couple other things. Wasted my time and gas too try to give them my money. Last time I will ever stop there, or recommend them. Unbelievably poor customer service.

I really can’t compare the selection here to any other store except perhaps Discount Liquor, but the wine selection at Consumers is second to none that I have seen. There are so many choices, I have to ask for help to decide! The beer selection is vast and varied with plenty of seasonal drinks rotated in. They carry hard to locate brews as well as tried and true favorites. Hard liquor, mixers and soda can also be purchased here.
I truly love the staff here. Even their delivery guys, who don’t work for the store, have taken time to help me locate stuff. How awesome is that? I once had three employees running around trying to find a daiquiri mix which turned out to out of stock. I don’t get service like that at other liquor stores. Clearly I’m just awful at finding what I need, but no one at Consumers makes me fell bad for looking so lost.

What a great selection! I have been able to find thing here that I have not been able to find elsewhere. On top of that the staff at Consumer Beverage is always very helpful. Thanks Consumer Bev! I will be back.

Consumer Beverage has a great variety of adult beverages at the best prices in town. Their staff is super helpful. If you can’t find it, just ask. If they don’t have it they might be able to order it for you. We have even called ahead to see if they carry a certain wine, and they are always great on the phone.
We typically come for the huge beer and wine selections. I am amazed that they are consistently cheaper than most all of the other liquor stores in the area on pretty much everything.
They run nice promos as well. Right now they are running a beer promo for Summerfest tickets. They also offer case discounts on wine.
We live in Wauwatosa and make it a point to stop in whenever we are in the area. The bad news is that we always spend more money than we were planning

Best liquor store in the 5 County Milwaukee area. They have everything and if they don’t they will order it for you! They have the biggest and best wine selection when looking to stock up on multiple items for an event or your home bar. They offer case discounts on wine and always have crazy good rebates on liquor and wine. They oftentimes run promos for beer involving fests in Milwaukee or Milwaukee sports. Mike (owner) is very knowledgeable and there are distributors in the store often who are also very friendly and will give you tips (e.g., stock up on Vouvray because it’s going up in price due to bad season, etc.). We always go here when we need to replenish wine stock or for holidays and events. We also always stop when in the area. Their prices are so good we can’t get out without spending $ 200 because you will feel robbed buying stuff other places. A+++ only complaint is just wish we lived a bit closer!

Consumer Beverage is one of the first places that I go to when I need to make a liquor purchase. The owner and his staff are very nice, and are helpful if you have a question about something. I also think that it’s nice to see the owner in the store working alongside his employees. The prices are some of the best around.
They have an amazing selection of beer, wines, and other liquors. Most likely, you will find what you are looking for here.

About a month ago we spent a total of $ 240.00 on on beer and liquor. There was a 24oz can of tecate that tasted like rust and was absolutely terrible. I thought I would just mention it the next time I stopped by. Today I approched the owner and explained the problem and asked if he would replace the $ 2.19 can of beer. He looked at me with some of the most judging eyes and asked «do you have the empty can with you» my reply was «well no I don’t since its illegal to drive around with an open container in your car and I don’t have the receipt since Ive never had to return beer before.» Then he says «your out of luck buddy». He made the whole situation awkward and embarrassing.
Honestly I wasn’t necessarily even that concerned with replacing the item as much as an acknowledgement like— sometimes products go bad and for that Im sorry. Next time Ill go out of my way to Discount liquor or one of the 5 billion other liquor stores in the Milwaukee area that doesn’t treat their customers like crap.

In my quest to stock up on Sprecher Hard Root Beer, I discovered Consumer Beverage. We are not so familiar with everything in our new neighborhood and Ray’s in Tosa has been my go-​to liquor store for awhile now, but I can see heading to Consumer Beverage in the future, as well. It’s a big place and though I didn’t peruse all the shelves, the selection was large. It’s a bit easier for me to get to and the guy at check out was helpful and friendly. Not sure what else I could ask for.

When my whiskey and wine stash is running low, this is the place I always go! Mike and his employees are always very helpful and willing to offer suggestions. The prices can’t be beat, and the selection is extensive. If, by some slim chance, what you are looking for isn’t there, Mike is usually willing to order it for you.
When you go, check out the gift sets. Most times, you can get a great deal for less than just the bottle. I mean… who doesn’t need as many rocks glasses as one can get?

The prices here are very competitive. The best wines are along the wall facing 108^th St. On these, you will find very good prices, in general better than anyone else in town. If it is not there, the owner, Mike, generally can order it, again at very competitive (compared to even the internet) prices. There is a good selection of Riedel glassware as well.

If I could choose only one place in Milwaukee to shop for alcohol, this would be my choice. Great selection of everything and the best prices for wine in town. Great beer variety including Trappists. The staff is friendly and they are more than willing to make recommendations if asked. The best part is that the staff listens to what you want and they make recommendations based on the criteria that you provide, not on the special of the week. This the standard by which I judge all other liquor stores. Once you shop here you will forever ask yourself why other liquor stores and grocery stores are so expensive and provide so little service.
