So sad that Beeson’s has closed. This was one of my favorite stops. I bought fruits and veggies here at least 3 times a week.

For those that value great local honey products and fresh produce, you will really appreciate this place. I must admit being a local in El Granada, I was always suspicious until I stopped and had a chance to check it out. The owner, Felix, is an incredibly nice person and very helpful when it comes to the variety and quality of what he sells. This is no tourist trap, just a good honest place to get great produce at a reasonable price.

Beeson’s Produce Stand, an easy right turn off of Highway 92 outside of Half Moon Bay, is a deserving candidate for some added Unilocal attention. It’s the only all-organic(or nearly so) roadside farm stand I know of in the area, and while it’s still a pretty simple set-up with a gravel road and limited parking area, they have made some real improvements to their signs and displays. They also have an ample selection of local honey along with a nice mix of seasonal fruits and vegetables at a good price, typically lower than the New Leaf community market down the road. They also have local eggs and potted herbs for sale. Quality will vary depending on the time of day and the year. Many products appear to be supermarket surplus with the stickers still attached, so be prepared to pick and choose based on freshness.

I bought my pumpkins here this year and last year as well. The pumpkin patches directly across charge $ 4 — 5(and less) per pumpkin.
Beeson’s charges $ 2.99(max) with discounts for smaller pumpkins. This year they had quite a few green pumpkins. One variety looked like a cross between a pumpkin and a zucchini. They don’t bother decorating the place for Halloween(this should be a crime in Half Moon Bay). The stand is pretty rundown looking. It’s not a pumpkin patch or a farm — it’s a roadside fruit and vegetable stand. I noticed a rotten pumpkin and a rotten peach — so they don’t seem to check their stock too often. Appearances aside, they have cheap produce, including organic items. I spotted red kabocha, berries, potatoes, plums, corn, nectarines, butternut squash, sugar pie pumpkins, and local honey. I bought a pack of organic blueberries grown in Watsonville for $ 1.

I passed this side produce stand every single day when I go to work in Half Moon Bay. I always saw their colorful signs that stated«Organic produce» or some really cheap price for produce like«10 artichokes for $.99.» Finally had the chance to stop by on my way back home. I blocked traffic for a couple of minutes since I needed to turn left into the entrance. Produce had very reasonable prices. Saw the following: + Blueberries & raspberries for $ 3 + Cherries– Buy 2 pounds, get 1 free for the more expensive cherries. I tried a sample and the cherries were pretty sweet. For $ 3-$ 4/lb they better be tasty! There was also cherries for $.99/lb, but they didn’t look good. + Huge avocados for $ 1.50 each + Apricots for $.99/lb + Corn– 5 for $ 1– Very cheap price! + Local honey + Box of strawberries for $ 6 + Also some apples, bananas, tomatoes, chayote, and much more! Ended up buying corn and 1.5 pounds of apricots. The corn was sweet and you could taste the freshness. Haven’t tried the apricots yet since they still need to ripen. Overall purchase — $ 2.50 It’s better to visit this produce stand on your way to Half Moon Bay. Otherwise, you’ll have some angry people behind you waiting for you to turn left, so you can clear the road. I even saw the car behind me had their emergency lights on to warn drivers behind. Haha.
