My husband is a hydroponic enthusiast and currently does a little bit of hydroponic herb gardening and recently expanded his interest to aquaponics. He was so excited to find Ouroboros not too far away and was even more excited that tours are given the first Saturday of the month, which happened to be this coming Saturday! The vegetables look delicious and it was mentioned that the Ritz Carlton nearby uses their produce as well as several other restaurants. Info about the tour and cost is found on their page. I like how enthusiastic and knowledgeable the owner is about aquaponics. It’s very inspiring to learn how sustainable this method of growing produce is. Come see and learn what may be the future of gardening. You won’t regret it.

I toured this«farm» last month. The owner was saying that his greens are organic but they ARENOT certified organic. He claims they don’t use sprays but they had a huge bug sprayer on wheels and and there were insecticide jugs nearby. One of the workers(a nice older man) said that they get a lot of pests from the other greenhouse tenants and have to seal everything up and spray to keep their crops from getting eaten. While on the tour, I say aphids on most of the crops and a dried up rat in a snap trap that obviously had been there for a very long time. Not sure if this is a real operating farm of just some guys hobby that he charges people to tour. He spoke with authority but everything seemed like it was coming from a script and when asked basic questions about aquaponics, he was unsure of the answers. I have a small aquaponics set up I built over the summer and was really looking forward to touring this place but was severely disappointed with the lack of knowledge, poor cleanliness and an obvious attempt to deceive people that this place is «organic» and«no spray» when its obviously not. The concept is cool but the«farm» is just another roadside attraction on 92.

This is an absolutely incredible place! The freshest kale I’ve ever eaten. We made kale chips and a salad. It had a nice earthy flavor to it. Much different than any organic produce I’ve eaten before. The aquaponic methods employed in this farm are the healthiest means of growing sustainable, organic produce and I learned a lot visiting the farm. I highly recommend Ouroboros as a company who is fully committed to your health and caring for our earth.
