St Matthew Catholic Church

Stayed in Hallendale Beach for a few weeks and so seeked out the local Catholic church and this was it. It’s actually a nice little building although very different than what we’re used to in Europe.
Except for one of our masses, the priest was an Irishman. Very well spoken and interesting sermons. There was also music. One lady did a lot of singing — beautiful voice. On Christmas Day the priest was an American and he brought his guitar along. Nice. Church has certainly changed!
One down side was that it was so cold in there that we were freezing! Why they need to crank the a/​c up so much is beyond me. They could perhaps only send the collection basket around once if they turned the a/​c down since they wouldn’t have such big electricity bills.
