The best tacos al pastor! Everything else is delicious too! At night time the club is fun too. Just the servers are so slow and not very friendly.

Nice cozy authentic Mexican restaurant. I come here at least twice a week. Chips and salsa, steak and pork tacos are a must. The burritos are amazing and affordable. You can’t beat this place. I love the soup here as well. The list goes on. Get here!

Great: Guacamole(fresh, tangy) and Chips(thick and crunchy) Gorditas Al Pastor — al pastor has a pineapple kick to it, gorditas covered in the perfect amount of cheese and sour cream sauce.

To started the server wasn’t welcoming and forgot my water, no chips and salsa offered, the food has no taste at all, the steak was over cooked, the margaritas were terrible and when the server brought the check she stayed there waiting for us to sign. I asked her are you just waiting for us to sign and leave? And she said yes! Im not picky but this was the worst eating experience ever.

I had the shredded chicken sopes. They were awesome. My food partner, King E, had the chilaquiles. He said they were great s well. Very rugged looking during the day but the food is worth it. It’s the real Mexican deal. Not«tradional Mex». Cheap too.

We were treated very rudely and the service was extremely slow despite only 3 other tables. Our server got our orders wrong. We got up and left.

Terribleeee! We went as the reviews here were ok. And we were sooo hungry that even though we had the feeling was going to suck, we had to eat there… Service is terrible we went around 3 pm there was only another couple but took the lady a couple minutes to come to us. Had a combinacion of friend enchilada taco and tostada… They seem to fry their food with an old oil that reuse over and over it was really gross and the meat was nast too… What a bad experience…

Great food, horrible service! Service quality has gradually deteriorated and its a direct reflection of one unfortunate waitress. The waitress whines when we ask(before ordering) to provide separate checks. There are only three of us. What’s the problem? We even suggested maybe we should go somewhere else — she seemed to encourage this idea but we stayed, forcing her to do her job. Order accuracy is an issue. My coworker asked for a steak burrito. A chicken burrito arrived. No big deal. He politely let the waitress know of the mistake and asked if he could please have steak instead(he spent all morning telling us how good their steak burrito is). She took it back and promptly brought out ANOTHER chicken burrito. He let her know, still politely, that it was chicken again. She reluctantly and angerly took it back and when a steak burrito finally manifested, she literally slammed the order down with a serious attitude. It’s only food. No need to make a big deal out of it. Paying customers want the food they order. Chefs might make mistakes, but her mistake is a really poor attitude which ruins the customer experience. The food is really good but its hard to come back and deal with such a sour woman. Just quit already and let our tips go to someone who actually deserves them.

Service was good but the food is not good. I had the torta and it was not good at all I also tried the al pastor and the carnitas tacos and I was disappointed this is not Mexican food or tex-mex food this was just plain terrible.

How can a Mexican restaurant ruin a burrito? Is that even possible? Just go to Chapultepec, and you’ll see how. I ordered a burrito to go, and when I got to my destination and uncovered my burrito it was a horrifying and nasty sight. They had covered the top of it with cheese sauce and ground up cheese. I tried to scrape off the crud but was only partially successful, and forget about trying to pick it up and eat it, which is the whole idea of a burrito. It had turned to mush and fell apart. Furthermore, the thing had no flavor. Even an Americanized Mexican restaurant wouldn’t serve a burrito like that. What a waste of seven dollars!

Like all good things, in the beginning in the to go foods they will make sure to put tortillas(NOMORE) and extra hot sauce(one per order) they have become also cheap in the cheese department, they just throw in a splash Oh well. Having them once n a blue moon won’t hurt

Three letters, WOW! Since i moved to Miami in 2009, i have only found one location with real, delicious, authentic tacos that can compare to the wonder that is the street food in Mexico. Thankfully, after 6 years, i have found another. My roomate kept browbeating me about this«Amazing taco place» in Hallandale. Having traveled to Mexico several times, i have very high standards for tacos. Finally, I decided on Friday night at 11pm to go and check the location out. Immediately i figured it was going to be good, as i saw a family with tables outside cooking the tacos. I was not disappointed. The tacos were absolutely authentic and deserve a spot as the top spot in Miami right along side Taqueria Viva México. I tried the chicken, beef, lingua, and one other that i cant remember. The sauces were delicious, some spicier than others, and one extremely spicy. I absolutely love this place, and a one time stop now turns into a Friday tradition. Dont miss out on this place.

Food is good. Tacos are awesome. Gorditas are delicious. Chimichangas are too cheesy didn’t like them. I had natural fresh melon juice the bomb! Melon is cantaloupe

This place is literally the«tastier» street mexican food in town. Awesome tacos, you should try their whole variety of six fresh flavors. There is a hot sauce colorful bar(ask for the spiciest one, is insane lol), and of course quesadillas, burritos, flautas all of them mouth watering. Don’t forget to ask for their delicious Micheladas and well-served Margaritas. They close everyday at 4:00am, so take that into account.

Came to Chapultepec for authentic Mexican tacos and upon arrival we encountered way more than just authentic food! From the music, to the paintings on the wall, the decorations, and the people inside, this was a full-on Mexican experience. The tacos were ok, they are«authentic» so they were very simple but tasty. The service was great, and we got really, really good micheladas. I was actually not a fan of the guac, which was very watery and lacked flavor. Overall this was a very cheap lunch date. We had seven tacos, two humongous micheladas, and two sides of chips and guac for $ 33.

Very strange recipes. I am guessing the food is authentic. I have been all over Mexico, Central, and South America, but i have never visited anywhere in Latin America that had food prepared this way.

3.5 stars Found this place on Unilocal and was a little worried with the mixed reviews. It was not busy on the Sunday afternoon we visited for lunch. You have to pay for chips and pico de gallo. We requested salsa, which is a green spicy salsa. We added the pico to the salsa and it was great. The chips are thick fried flour tortillas. The waitress says their tortillas are made locally and delivered. They did taste fresh. The tacos are topped with onion and cilantro. The taco shell is corn soft tortilla that is lightly grilled to make it have a little crisp. The enchilada was nothing special. The sope was very good and was topped with cojita cheese, beans, meat. The sope is a puffy fried corn tortialla(almost like an arepa). The refried beans had good flavor and were not super thick. Service was okay. It looked like there was one cook in the small kitchen which was fine since there were only a couple tables with people. If it were busy, it might take forever. There is free parking in the attached parking lot. The restaurant is hard to see from Hallandale Beach Blvd. IT is set back from the road. If in the area, I would go again.

I’ve been a guest of Chapultepec 4 times now, and that’s given me pretty good exposure to different aspects of the menu. Reviews on Unilocal are mixed, but I think there are some menu items here that are extraordinary, and I’m not finished exploring yet. What brought me here the first couple of times was a friend who was a big fan of the CHILESRELLENOS. These are $ 9(I uploaded a picture), and are one of the best things I’ve eaten in 2014: Greasy, cheesy, spicy… just so good that the next day I was already craving them again. Working my way down the menu(which I also added a picture of), I tried the HUARCHES: these are something I’d never even heard of, and apparently take their name from the sandals which the thick corn base resembles. Again these are really authentic tasting, totally unique for me, and really set Chapultepec apart from anywhere else I’ve been in SoFla. This weekend I stopped in twice: once for the sit down meal in the(zero ambiance) dining room, and once for nighttime tacos served weekend nights from the front patio(the dining room itself was surprisingly closed at 9pm on a Saturday, so I’m not exactly sure what the hours of operation are, as I thought I’d been there around that time on a Saturday a few months before). The TACOS are $ 2 each, and I preferred the CARNEASADA(steak) to the CHICHARRON(pork rind?) ones, which had a strange rubbery texture. To drink, the HORCHATA is something I see so infrequently that I had to have it — a little expensive for a drink at $ 4, but this drink(made with different ingredients different places, but which I’d describe as tasting like liquid rice pudding). Great for taming the heat of the spicy dishes. If you go with someone I would definitely recommend the Chiles Rellenos on the first visit — great to share as it is a heavy dish. If I were rating Chapultepec strictly on this entrée, it would be a solid 5-stars.

Long story short… you can skip this place. We arrived on Saturday night after the Florida Derby. This place was packed! Good sign I thought, service didn’t agree. I wish I could make the connection between the Derby and how packed it was, but it didn’t look like any of the clientele had been to the Derby as well. At the end of the evening the waitress did finally apologize and did let us know that they were way more packed than usual and their takeout orders were also insane. Usually I would let bad service slide if the food was great, but it wasn’t and therefore I won’t be back. Ok here’s the long story: After the Florida Derby we were looking for a quick place to eat. Initially we were leaning towards fast food because we were just too tired to sit down, but I pulled up my Unilocal bookmarks in the area and figured this hole-in-the-wall would be fast and delicious. I was wrong. When we first walked in there was a lady outside on the curb making tacos for those looking to eat and run or get take out I assume. We should have gone this route, but decided to bypass her and instead sit inside. The place was packed, but not too packed and we got a table immediately. Menus were delivered at somewhat of a reasonable time, and when the waitress returned we put in our food and drink orders. The one good thing about this place is the prices. That’s about all I can say. After about 40!!! minutes our tacos came out. Keep in mind there is no chips and salsa to munch on, so we were starving by this point! Two of us ordered three tacos each. The bf ordered fajitas. His food came out about 20 minutes after I finished eating my tacos. The tacos — I had the tongue, al pastor and chicken. The tongue had no flavor and was dry. The al pastor had great flavor but also seemed dry. The chicken came from a can I think, and was juicy but again not much flavor. They did give us a salsa verde to put on our tacos. This was good. When the fajitas finally came out they looked and tasted delicious — however the meat itself was one of the cheapest steak cuts around and was kinda gross. It took us another 20 minutes to get the check, despite even going up to the front to pay. By this point I was extra exhausted and just wanted to get home. I won’t be back.
