Really great deli. Love the variety always friendly service when I come there with my husband or friends. Can’t help but love this place!!!

Great chicken soup. full of chicken and vegetables. reasonably priced. Other food I have tried very good as well and nice variety.

Agree with the reviewer who mentioned rudeness of the staff here… I’ve stopped going here because unless you are a regular customer there you are treated as if you are invisible. They certainly don’t encourage new business. The woman who usually rings up the orders is very curt and unfriendly. Pricey and not worth it when dealing with the bad attitudes here.

I love there sandwiches. Not much to say about the place except it has great sandwiches. Perfect for lunch if you work in Hamden.

Great sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches but unfortunately hours are difficult to navigate around if you don’t work in Hamden. Would love to be able to stop and grab subs for dinner but they close before I’m out of work. Thus it’s become a good go to breakfast sandwich spot on the weekends.

Great breakfast wrap. Decent prices. Fresh food. Clean. Excellent service. What more could you ask for?

Gosh, i just have not had the experience of other reviewers. The food is just fine… Nice big deli sandwiches at a decent price, but i just cannot get past the poor customer service. Maybe they just don’t like me, but every time i walk in, I either get no greeting, or i get someone who seems really unhappy with life. Twice i walked out because i stood at the counter and no one said a word to me. Once I brought very over hard eggs up to the counter and said «excuse me but i wanted these over easy and these are over hard» and she said «well, i told him to do it over easy» and turned away with a «there is nothing i can do about it now» look. The last time i went in, the person at the register repeated my order in a very slow angry voice to the boy who was making the sandwich, as if he thought him an idiot. The kid was visibly annoyed at this mockery and it just made me uncomfortable. Maybe if i didn’t have to interact with the staff i would go here more, or maybe i always catch them on bad days, but in the meantime, i will just walk down to the whitneyville market instead.

The sandwiches are fantastic, the eggplant parm is as among the best I have eaten. The staff is amazing, just a great deli, I love this place.

I have to say I loveeeeeee this place.
I am a very short walk from this place and everytime I go the staff is great. I love the owner and his friend Curt they are so helpful. Each time I go they know me by name, and they always ask me how my life is and go out of the way to make me happy. I agree with others that the prices are a bit high, but this is a typical mom and pop type place, just trying to get by.
The owner has kids that are going to college, so I would rather spend my money here and support small, local business, than go to McDonalds to get my coffee. That is just how I feel. Overall the place is great and their salads are huge! They have fresh OMAR coffee (which in my opinion is the best in CT) and they cater as well.

Around Christmas my place of employment was allotted a certain amount of money to get lunch catered. We are a short walk from the deli so we pored over the menu and finally settled on the penne alla vodka, chicken florentine and the garden salad. We got HUGE portions of all 3 and good thing because the food was fantastic. Definitely the best penne alla vodka I’ve had.
I returned recently for lunch and ordered the veggie sandwich which came with a heaping variety of vegetables on it. My coworkers sandwich was equally stuffed. I have heard that their lobster bisque is awesome so I can’t wait to try that. And the quiche. And whatever sandwich it was that my coworker ordered.

Great sandwiches and variety. Meatball sub is excellent! Their huge quiche slices are great too. Our favorite place to pick up lunch. Been going for a few years and have never been disappointed!

Great breakfast, friendly staff. We came with a party of six and found this place convenient and accommodating. Try the muffins and the home fries.
