Corner deli has every imaginable chip and drink selection to go with your sandwich. Walked in yesterday and ordered a chicken parm sub, it was fairly busy and I didn’t call ahead but I waited for less than 10 mins. The staff was quick and friendly, and my sub was great! I’ll definitely be back :)

Thanks to a fellow Unilocaler’s suggestion, my coworkers and I grabbed some sandwiches from the Corner Deli. I ordered the #5 panini(grilled chicken, tomato, feta, red onion), the boys ordered 2 chicken parm grinders & a Caesar chicken wrap. My panini was so large, that I was only able to eat half… and that was pushing it. The bread was crunchy and the ingredients were fresh. The feta was as good as Boar’s Head(If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out!). The grinders got two thumbs up. They had the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The wrap was a little messy to eat, but well worth it! We will definitely be adding the Corner to our rotation! Tip: Call ahead, you’ll still end up waiting, but it won’t take as long!

Decent place to order a sandwich. The lines are sometimes long during the lunch hour rush. Parking can be difficult since there are other shops and restaurants in the same plaza. You can go wrong here lots of different sandwiches and specials.

I needed something quick for lunch and decided to try this place on my way home. I had no preconceived notions, and I was ready for whatever. Well, color me pleasantly surprised. I had the buffalo chicken sub, and it was stupid delicious. The chicken was flavorful and generous. The sauce wasn’t overwhelming nor wimpy with its spicy level. The blue cheese dressing tied everything together with its pungent fatty creaminess. This sandwich was one of the best I had all year! SHUTUPANDTAKEMYMONEY.

Meh since it changed hands. Sad. Will miss my beloved Keating Wrap.

As other reviewers have noted, call ahead during lunch. That’s my best advice. It’s by the center of town so it gets busy with municipal workers, etc. The quality of the ingredients is really good– excellent chicken, Boars Head products, etc. I generally get a salad or a Cali Chick sandwich. You really can’t go wrong with any of the choices. Try one if the daily specials– they are posted on FB every day… The service is pretty quick and friendly. Nice spot for a take out lunch.

Amazing food. I got the rueben(half roast beef and half pastrami) low on the mayo, grilled onions and pickles. I went there 4 times in a week since I was visiting. I brought my whole family and they loved it!

Not as good since they changed owners. Same menu but execution is different/inconsistent. Used to be a much busier place.

The buffalo chicken wrap is to DIE for! So good! The prices are a little bit high but you get what you pay for. I’ve been getting lunch here for a few years and every time my wrap tastes better and better. Go corner deli!

A standard-looking deli, outside and in. The prices are a little high, but the portions are substantial. The ciabatta bread is fantastic, but the focaccia not so great. Pick up a loaf of their artisan bread on the way out.

The food is decent, but not for what they charge. I can get the same thing down the street for almost half the price. If this is where the group at work is ordering from, I’ll get something. Outside of that, it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Yum, best place for sandwiches on the area. Love the buffalo chicken. Great value for a large sub!

I can’t believe I forgot to review this place!!! We went here once to get sandwiches(take out) during the winter. The caprese-type sandwich is SOAMAZING! Fresh ingredients, delicious bread. We also got potato and macaroni salad, which my husband reported was good(I dont like either, so I didn’t try them). We got a cream cheese brownie to split for dessert, and only wished we got 2! We fought over who got the bigger half :)

I’ve been a fan of the corner deli for a while now. They have very delicious sandwiches for lunch, including some special sandwiches that you have to call or stop by for. One of my favorites is the chicken fajita wrap, of course, add sour cream. The wrap is delicious, decent amount of grilled chicken, with the grilled onions and bell peppers… to die for! One of my other favorites is the buffalo chicken wrap as well as the keating wrap with no blue cheese. Both are just delicious. always hot, fresh, and full of goodness. For the best service, order ahead and pick up. I’ve gone in a waited for my food, and the wait isn’t too bad, but just easier if you call and order ahead. Also on the menu are soups and salads, as well as a wide variety of drinks and chips. The price is pretty fair for the size of sandwich you get, and the biggest bonus over any other place is that it is always hot and fresh, not pre-prepared. A definite must try for a quick lunch.

Best salad I have had thus far in this area. For $ 8.00 I got a make-your-own salad with romaine, feta cheese, bacon, hard boiled egg and grilled chicken. The regular size was perfectly proportioned and I couldn’t even finish it. Call ahead for faster pick up during lunch hour. Definitely my new go to salad joint.

I had a restaurant coupon that was $ 10 for only $ 2 so thought I would try it out to make sure it was not a scam and low and behold it was not. Huge savings. Tried this deli out and the variety of sandwiches was very nice with different combinations not usually seen as options. Very small eat in area with 1 high top table and a counter against an outside window with 5 stools. Obviously most of their business is take out. Kitchen area and prep area visible from the order counter and area looks clean and well maintained. Staff are very courteous and attentive. Food comes out within 5 – 10 minutes and was piping hot that you had to let it cool a little so you did not get burned. I had the Asiago cutlet which was chicken with Asiago cheese and spinach on your choice of bread which I got the ciabatta roll which was delicious but could only eat half as a really big sandwich. My son got the steak and cheese sub which again was super fresh, hot and too big for one meal. I would definitely go back and try another of their daily specials.

A few months ago, I realized that I was on a real Corner Deli kick, and it hasn’t gone away since. The Corner Deli makes a mean sandwich, and there’s a great variety to choose from. The cold cuts are Boar’s Head or store-cooked, and the chicken is quality, so anything you order is sure to be good. The salads, sides, and soups are also great, and because the Corner Deli is both a deli and a little convenience store, you can also find a wide range of beverages and chips to choose from while you wait for your order. I usually get a special or one of the more interesting customer creations on the board when you walk in. One of my favorites is the Chris, which is a chicken cutlet with prosciutto, fresh mozz, and pesto mayo on grilled ciabatta.(This is actually my boyfriend’s favorite sandwich, and he gets one almost every week.) I also really like any of the wraps with grilled chicken and various grilled vegetables, and sometimes I’ll just get a plain old turkey sandwich on a hard roll with lettuce and tomato, and that makes me just as happy as any of the more creative options. Prices are a little higher than other places in the area, but I think the Corner Deli is worth it for better quality and bigger portions. It can get a little busy around lunchtime, but if you know what you want, you can call your order in and pick it up without a long wait.

Stopped in for sandwiches to go a couple weeks ago for a Saturday lunch. Fresh potato and macaroni salads. Sandwiches made exactly how we ordered them. The place could use a bit of sprucing up and some updates, such as the un-illuminated soda refrigerators, etc. Wouldn’t recommended sitting there to eat. But as far as the food goes, it’s great!

What a wonderful place! I came in on a lunch hour, and it was fairly busy. Still, I got my order within 10 minutes, and it was amazing. II had the Keating wrap, which was chicken with walnuts, mandarin oranges, cheese, and more delicious things all in a Spinach wrap. All the other options looked delicious as well! Definitely worth a stop. And, if you’re on a tight schedule, call ahead!

I’ve been going to The Corner Deli for a couple years and it’s easily my favorite deli in the area. I work in a small office just down the road on Dixwell so I get it for lunch almost every day. I used to get strictly steak and cheeses, which is arguably their best sandwich, however, I’ve started to branch out more recently to other sandwiches. Their Chapelle Show, French Dip, Buff Chick, Pastrami nightmare and daily cold cut combos are all awesome. If you like salads they serve an enormous Cobb salad for $ 9 or you could get a chicken Caesar for around $ 7. Their portions are huge, and given their popularity i would say the prices are reasonable. The Corner Deli is the quintessential deli you want in your area for high quality deli meats and custom sandwiches that blow subway and other chains out of the water. It’s no surprise that the lines around lunch time are usually out the door. Make sure to call about 20 mins ahead so you can just swoop in and grab your sandwich. No point waiting in line some rookie.
