Always the treat we get when in town visiting. Simply the best! The sauce, the cheese, pepperoni, sausage yum. Get the larger size because you’ll need it

I’d give Chesters 5 stars, but they’ve left their roots in an effort to reduce costs. Still the best pizza around. It’s all about the crust. Chesters has the best crust I’ve ever eaten. We fight over who gets the little triangle pieces; they’re the best! Take-Out only!

I love pizza in general but grew up eating Chester’s. I compare it to all other pizza I come across. It’s better than Dewey’s, better than Uno’s, Mellow Mushroom and all the rest. Guess I was lucky enough to grow up in Lindenwald and enjoy the best pizza in the world from the very beginning.

Really good pizza! I wasn’t too crazy about the sausage but loved the crust and pizza sauce they use. The whole family enjoyed the pizza. We will definitely be ordering from here again! Too bad they don’t do delivery. We just ordered ahead of time and picked it up on the way home. They had it hot and ready to go when we got there. 2 thumbs up!!!

I had hoped to sit down and eat, but this is a carry out only joint, like Milillo’s. I really didn’t want to mess with pizza if there were no tables, so I got the steak sandwich special. I’m not sure why it’s a special, if it’s always $ 4.99, and it’s the size of a $ 4.99 sandwich, not $ 7.99. I’m not much for gimmicks and that one wasn’t good. The woman who took my order was friendly, and asked me about various items on the sandwich, to which I replied«all of them, please». If it’s the first time, I might as well get it the way they intended it, right? They had some serious pizza capacity. I saw 4 Blodgett ovens that would fit 616 inch pizzas each, plus they had a conveyor oven. Maybe, the Blodgett ovens aren’t even used any longer, but that makes for a lot of capacity. To be blunt, they really need to remodel the interior of the store. It doesn’t seem dirty, but it looks as though it could be. It’s disorganized and things seem to be placed as to where there was room, unplanned. They have some specials behind the register, but the menu is off to the right, toward the back of the store. It wasn’t too long to get the sandwich and I was out the door with the sandwich and a bag of Snyder’s of Berlin potato chips. The sandwich itself is much like Richard’s «famous» steak sandwich with a chopped steak, onions, pizza sauce, pickles, and cheese and not far off Cassano’s chopped steak sandwich but without the yummy mushroom gravy. I wish I was more enthusiastic about it. Maybe, it’s a matter of growing up with a certain taste but it’s more sufficient than exciting.

I love Chester’s, my family has been eating it for as long as I can remember. Less so in recent years since none of us live nearby, but it has become our Super Bowl staple. The pizza is consistently delicious. Their crust is some of my favorite among pizza. We normally just go with pepperoni and sometimes add sausage. They are never stingy with the cheese either! They are kind of pricey and never seem to have deals or coupons — but for an occasional treat, the pizza is worth the extra money. We had 2 medium pizzas and some of the Hank’s root beer and vanilla cream sodas and the total was nearly $ 40. Chester’s definitely ranks with some of my top favorite pizzas.

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch this week and had an enjoyable time. It was our first trip and although a 6 year old can be easy to please with pizza, I am not. Lucky for me I enjoyed the pizza and I also ordered a hoagie that turned out to be delicious as well. My wife had the left overs and she enjoyed the pizza more than I, and now I would imagine us ordering from there on a regular basis. If you are in the area I would suggest giving it a shot.

I grew up with Chester’s pizza but rarely eat in recent years as I make my own. We got it over the winter a couple times and it was fabulous! The crust is still great(We get our extra browned!) Sadly, 15+ yrs ago they lost their original pepperoni supplier & that changed the taste of what I remember from my childhood. Some didn’t notice but it you grew up on it and good taste buds.. . you noticed. Still, I highly recommend Chester’s over any chain hand’s down. It might be a bit pricey but you are supporting an indie mom & pop place that has been around 55 years! So get pizza less often and come here for your pizza fix!

I’m a fan of a pizza that can re-heat decently, and this place just doesn’t have it. While it’s a local favorite, the only people I know that enjoy it grew up in the ‘wald, and lived off of it as children. It seems overpriced and over-hyped for being mediocre tasting — I’d much rather hit up Cassano’s.

Still the most consistently good pizza I’ve had. The chains will give you a good pizza one day, and next time it will be terrible. Chesters can always be counted on to deliver a great tasting pizza.

I have been eating Chester’s for 30 years and it’s still incredible. I live in Los Angeles and always get a pizza when I’m in town. Combo is always good and the crust is perfect — cut in squares as it should be!
