This place is a joke. Try and pretend they are Legit because owned by Ceasars. Try getting food after 10:30 pm. They are jerks who don’t want to serve you.

A friend and I came to this cozy steakhouse and were seated by the window with a view of the marina and Chicago’s beautiful skyline. We were served a variety of warm bread that was delicious. Our entrees were huge so we probably didn’t need the scrumptious side of Brussels sprouts. The steak was tender and juicy and my salmon filet was a double portion. We couldn’t help but finish all of it. I’ll be back in less then a week and I can’t wait. Our server was polite as well as all of the staff.

Horrible drink Moscow mule served with flat beer in it, calamari was texture of rubberband and Mac and cheese tasted microwaved and like it came out of a box from Aldi avoid this place no matter what unless you are hypoglycemic and you have to eat here in an emergency. With respect to service the busboy was more attentive than our waiter, he brought us cocktail sauce and offered a more pleasant greeting … This place is otherwise a dump!

Not a bad restaurant but as far as steakhouses go, I’ve definitely dined at better establishment, food was just ok, but the appetizer(French onion cheesesteak) was something you would expect at a lower end restaurant, however both our entrée’s were good, she ordered the champagne chicken and I the grilled pork chops, both were good but the presentation was lacking also, the drinks were weak in my opinion. For the price I expected better, or better yet, could have had the same meal but better drinks at Longhorn Steakhouse for less. The only reason we dined at this establishment was due to going to a comedy show that night at The Venue and we wanted something to eat after, if it had not been for the construction in Chicago on the expressway we would have left and came into the city for dinner instead but considering our options, the Jack Binion Steakhouse was our best/only option considering our location. My only regret is that I didn’t read any reviews before I made our reservations. I don’t think I’ll make the trip out to Hammond again and dine at this establishment.

When I was planning my 30th birthday dinner I just knew I needed to go here to celebrate. Upon our arrival, our group was placed in the private chefs room and there were menus printed up specially for me. Within moments of arriving our server Diane greeted us and was nothing but friendly and professional. The food was excellent! I’m a little bit of a steak snob and my filet was perfectly cooked medium rare. Portion wise: you definitely get your money’s worth. After our meal I had the opportunity to speak with Chef Mike and tell him what a wonderful job the kitchen did. He was also very friendly and personable! I will definitely be coming back soon!

Here’s one more bad review for a place already full of bad reviews. I should have known better. I guess it’s hard getting good help here. Been here 1hr 30 mins finally got my appetizer right. I wonder how long my steak will take. My drink took 30 minutes. Place is not even busy. The two bartenders seemed overwhelmed with 6 customers. Not a manager in sight to help them out. Unfortunately no other choices in this smoke filled casino and restaurant. Will make sure not to eat here again. Also forgot to mention that the bartender seemed upset with me when I asked for lemon three times to accompany my shrimp cocktail as it was sitting on my table for 30 minutes until I got some lemon. I guess the management here doesn’t care about the endless bad reviews.

The Midwest does steak well! We were seated at a window table, and the sun was just beginning to go down. We had a fantastic view of the Chicago skyline. The entire staff was very nice and friendly. Scott was our waiter, and he was great. Once we got settled, we were brought a basket of assorted breads and spreads. The wine-chedder spread was especially tasty. We started with the wagyu sliders and the squash soup. Both excellent. The sliders were very tasty! We also ordered a seasonal plate that had foie gras and lobster. It was a strange combo and preparation, but it was still pretty delicious. The entrée steaks were grilled to perfection. And we complemented with the rosemary fries. We were honestly too full for dessert but managed to share and finish a slice of carrot cake. All in all, a fantastic meal!

As far as steak houses go, possibly one of the worst, if not the worst one I’ve been to. The drinks took over a 45 minutes to show up. Our party never got our second round of drinks until after we all finished our steaks. Oh and the steaks. for that price I want dry aged and properly cooked. I got an overdone medium rare. If I wanted medium or more I wouldn’t order a piece of prime…

Really not sure how such a high standard steakhouse can get away with telling you to wait an hour for a table and then when you go back decide they can’t seat your party. This was supposed to bey daughters birthday meal and we were told they couldn’t seat us. They had our number and could of called. I’m never going back to a place that can’t seat me because I’m not a card holder.

Terrible experience. won some money went to binions(had reservations) with the intent of having a big steak. Ordered a bottle of presecco and oysters Rockefellers. We also ordered dinner entrees cowboy steak for me medium and lamb chops for my sister medium and macaroni as our side. It took a very long time for the waiter to come with the prosecco. The oyster came and were delicious. Still no prosecco. After we ate the oysters the waiter comes with a mini bottle of presecco and tells up that’s ALL we have, thus we order 2 glasses of chardonnay instead. Someone comes and takes away our oysters shells the waiter shows up and tells us our oysters will be ready soon. I tell him we already had them. The waiter looked dumbfounded after stumbling over his words he leaves the table. We wait about 40 minutes still no entrees the waiter comes to tell us our entrees are on the way. They arrive about 5 minutes afterward my steak is cold and super rare. My sister’s lamb chops are rare and cold. The macaroni is hot. When the waiter comes to check on us I tell him the steak isn’t cooked the way I asked for it and it’s cold so are the lamb chops. He offers to take it back to prepare correctly I refuse. My sister asked for a to go container she chose to heat and eat hers at home. I told him to correct the bill take my steak off. He gets the manager who comes over and apologizes and takes the chops and steak off the bill. We had no problem paying for the appetizerrs cocktails and oysters. The waiters service sucked big time. Just a terrible experience. My sister said the binions inear tunica. MS was top notch. Don’t waste your time at this one. I’ve eaten at some of the best steak houses in the city, this one could never compare.

What a disappointment! I made reservation for my sister and myself way in advance. Our waiter I am guessing was new, he did not seem to have knowledge about the menu or wine list. We ordered appetizer, and entrée all at once. Appetizer: Oyster Rockefeller very good, forty-five mins pass still have not received our main entrée. Main dish finally, my sister order the cowboy steak medium well, I had the rack of lamb and a side dish of Mac & Cheese. Both entrees came out cold, not even luke warm what a waste we called the waiter over my sister’s steak was not only ice cold, but rare my lamb chops was cooked right but cold, from the refrigerator to our table. We spoke to the manager who apologize and offered to take both entrees off the bill, I stated that I would pay for my entrée but he took both off our bill. Good management, Jack Binion in Tunica MS much better!

Made reservations. Went in. Ate good! Nice place! Great view of Lake Michigan! Actually realized that this is the exact same quality served at Vegas hotels at the same prices. Kinda like an overlooked indulgence that only those into fine dining would appreciate.

Delicious! I always eat here with my father, when we’re in a gambling mood. He usually gets food comped, since he’s a big gambler. Meals are very pricey, the bill is always over $ 100 for two of us. Our average bill is around $ 145, that’s including tip. The food is amazing! A few nights ago we ordered Oysters Rockefeller, so fresh and meaty. The bread is really good too and they give you various kinds, with different types of butter. Prime rib was so juicy and huge. My salmon was grilled perfectly. Didn’t taste fishy at all. Very tender food, melts in your mouth. The baked sweet potato and mushrooms were devine! Yummy martinis… I have leftovers everytime, the portions are huge. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I order something different each time. My father’s favorites are any of the steaks. I’ve been pleased with the pork, fish, and lamb. I am always very satisfied, happy, and full after eating here. Highly recommending if you’re going to Horseshoe Casino to do some gambling. It never hurts after winning at roulette, blackjack, or poker. I did really well a few nights ago. So with some comps and gambling winnings, this place doesn’t hurt the wallet too bad! Check it out Finally, I don’t smoke. And smoking is banned indoors in the Chicagoland area. Since this is Hammond, Indiana — you can smoke throughout the casino. And this restaurant does have a smoking section for all of you smokers

Very disappointed. If I would have had the time to send the food back I definitely would have. It’s pretty bad to say they best food I had there was the bread while waiting for everything else. With a bill that was $ 150 for two people with no alcohol I expect perfection and quality. What I received was anything but. Let’s start with the appetizer. Wagyu sliders. It took over 20 minutes from the time the order was placed to receiving them. This was early in the evening and the place wasn’t even ¼ full. What came was their pretzel bread sliced in half with caramelized onions, crispy onions and goat cheese. The bread was grilled, or should I say burned and what should be very high quality beef was so overcooked it was a chore to chew. On to my main course. Filet mignon with a said of caramelized onion mashed potatoes. Let me say the potatoes were amazing. Creamy with just enough butter and onion. They were perfection. The filet is another story all together. I ordered it medium rare. What I received was Pittsburgh style. Burnt on the outside and red on the inside. Not a problem for me. Now a filet is supposed to be the most tender cut of steak. You should be able to cut it with a fork. What I needed was a chainsaw. Hard to cut, under seasoned. I’ve enjoyed a sirloin from TGIFriday’s more than I did this sorry excuse for cow. Service. I would expect that a place of this caliber would have phenomenal service. There should have been no need to have to flag someone down to get a beverage, much less go through half the meal for 1 refill. On a return visit to the casino if I was offered a comp to the steakhouse I would turn it down and opt for a trip to the buffet instead I was that underwhelmed.

Service was ok, but the food was over the top. We went on a Sunday at 630. Out server had 6 tables including ours from what we could see. My steak any my wife’s crab legs were wonderful. If they would push the staff to be more attentive & frequent the tables more often I could have easily given them a 5 rating. This is our 3rd time here with the same experiences. Great food and«ok» service.

The problem with Jack Binion’s Steakhouse is it happens to be located in Indiana where Bad Company unfortunately decided to perform. Food was solid. Service was very bad. Nice view. I knew the experience was going to be shitty when the server brought us our d soft drinks and handed to us to grab from his hands. In all the time i have been out to eat, i have never had a server give me a drink in my hand, not even at greasy spoons. It was bizarre. The prices here for appetizers, salads, and sides are around 20% cheaper than comparable steakhouses. The entrée and steak prices are not cheaper. Our salads were very good as was their breadboard./ After explaining to server about 20 times that my wife had a dairy allergy, he brought out her filer with a scoop of butter on it… It is annoying that it isnt’t noted in menu. It should be as i would not want it. But i seriously mentioned her allergy a dozen times. So this is what unfolded: I ate my steak which was great. I had ordered their rosemary fries. He forgot them. Then brought it out after 15 minutes in which i had finished my steak. I sent it back. He said but i wont charge you. I said im full and im annoyed and i dont want them. My wife basically was fully from the salad she previously ate, and the baked sweet potato she had ordered with her steak. Her steak had still not arrived. I flagged down a Manager who appeared to be putting out other fires. Without raising an eyebrow or my voice, i explained the debacle that was this dinner. Rightfully, he comped the complete meal, went into the kitchen and brought her piping hot steak. Ap0logized profusely for his weak server, and offered us dessert and coffee. We passed. Thanked him. Left 20 $ tip and left. Btw, bus boy was on the ball and great. Server was nice guy just not ready for the big leagues. Jack Binion’s steakhouse wants to compare itself to a Downtown chicago restaurant. The problem is it is run like an I-65 truck stop diner. Unless you are getting comped as a gambler, or are using your TOTALREWARD points to subsidize, eat here at your own risk.

3.5 to 4! I felt compelled to write this review since this was a very good experience, but before I go on to the food and service let me preface this by saying that we were a party of 8, and came to help celebrate a family members 21st. Now, what better, PG-13 way of ringing in a 21st birthday then to hand over a set of dice and say, «Don’t 7 out!» We stopped for dinner first and it was good. Definitely on par with quite a few of Chicago’s many steakhouses. The dining room is very scenic, overlooking Lake Michigan. The service left nothing but a great immpression. There was plenty of bread, and water was constantly replenshed as were the drinks. We ordered quite a variety of starters, and entrée’s which included different cuts of steak. The highlights were the filet mignon, KC strip, bbq shrimp, and the truffle fries as well as the rosemary french fries, and corn off the cob also deserves a mention. The only thing that was not the best was the lobster, which our server took care of immediately. The steak cut like warm butter, very tender with a good flavor. The sides were generous, the drinks plenty, with a special birthday dessert at the end. If you are ever in this area, or stop by for a little bit of gambling, give this place a try!

Binion’s sets a gold standard for high-end steakhouses. Service, food and ambiance are all tops. Service: We showed up for our reservations 30 minutes late, ooops. But no problem we got seated immediately and had delicious bread and butters infused with cheese to satisfy our hunger while our food was made. The waitress learned our names congratulated the bachelor and made him feel special. When we got desert she had Congratulations spelled in chocolate on his plate, always a nice touch. Very freindly and checked back often. 5-star Food: The complimentary bread starter was impressive because of the variety you got to choose from i especially liked the wheat raisin bread. I got the Prime Rib, cooked as you’d expect medium-rare. I was satisfied, it’s just not one of those dishes I’ve ever seen go wrong. For desert we got a cheesecake which was velvety and well complimented with sugared fruits. 4-star good but as expected Ambiance: As most high end steakhouses it has dark wood and low lighting. The view of lake michigan from most vantage points makes it special.

TOSTART, I AM A PAIDSTEAKHOUSECRITIC. I used to promote this place and It was one of my top 3 steakhouses in Chicago. WTF happened? They changed their menu to cut costs I believe. They source their steak from somewhere else now, and it shows. The chef over cooked my ribeye to top it off. This places fails on all levels except for the servers who are still nice even when they see their business and customers walking out the door to never come back. Whomever made the decision to change the menu for the cheaper product should be thrown in lake michigan or transfered to Sizzler. They are tarnishing their reputation every day they serve this crap. I had the lobster bisque and it now has the consistency of water. I think they even microwaved the stuff(not kidding) To the servers– find other employement as management doens’t have a clue.
