You wouldn’t expect to find a craft beer bar tucked in the back of a casino, let alone a decent one, but lo and behold, it exists. The selection is wide and varied, at $ 5 a pint, with some on special for $ 3 or even $ 2. You can really stretch your dollar here, which is a good thing, considering all the money you’ll potentially lose on the floor. Ordered the pretzel bites, which were tasty and hot. Dunno if I’d come back just to drink, but if another concert at the Venue catches my eye, I’ll definitely make a stop.

Let me start this by saying, that I am not a beer drinker. I rarely if ever drink beer, and I still found this place to be awesome! The bartenders were awesome, and filled with suggestions. I had a cider and a wheat beer that were recommended and they were both very good. They have an almost endless selection of beers. I was taken aback slightly by the ambience in this place. Don’t get me wrong, not in a bad way. Just never expected to find such a place in a casino. It seemed very casual and there were a lot of people that were just hanging around. Like they go there all the time. They looked very comfortable.

Say what you will about northwest Indiana and/or paying for drinks at casinos, but I think for what it is(a craft beer bar in the back of Horseshoe casino) this place can’t be beat. They’ve got a rad selection of some of the country’s finest all for $ 5 a pint, with some beers on special for $ 2& $ 3 a pint. Dragon’s Milk @ $ 5 a pint? Yep. You read that right. A PINT. $ 5. I sh*t you not. Service can be a bit spotty at times but overall the staff is really friendly and they’re pretty knowledgable about the 32 beers on tap. They have a few small bites on their menu but they’re pretty much just microwave oven type things, though that didn’t stop me from choking down on the pretzel bites with spicy mustard and beer cheese. In fact, I got two orders just for myself. No regrets.
