Unfortunately, I had a very difference experience with The Pastry Bag. You can see the 3 pictures of my cake in the photo section.
I was so excited to throw my first Fat Tuesday party. I ordered my first Kings Cake from the Pastry Bag for $ 55.
Upon receiving it, the cake was very smashed inside of a VERY flimsy donut style box, just floating around inside the box. The flimsy seal was broken and the cake was exposed. Absolutely unservable and IMO inedible.
After emailing Kim right away, she responds the next day, unconcerned, blaming the post office saying it wasn’t her responsibility but she carries insurance on her shipments and she’d «let me know» when she found out something.
Thankfully I paid via PayPal and I’m able to dispute the transaction. After several days of not hearing from Kim, I had to open a dispute.
In the mean time, I’ve cancelled my party.
Very VERY disappointed with this business’s ethics.
After seeing the pics of her horrible cake on arrival, any reputable business woman would have corrected immediately. $ 55 bucks for this! Awful.

OHMYGOSH!!! The Pastry Bag is an AWESOME bakery! Kim is the best — talented, fun & so creative! but the cakes are FANTABULOUS!!! you have to try one — so perfect!!! Hammond has quite a gem with The Pastry Bag coming to town!!! Quite a gain!!! — Check out her creativity with all the different cakes she has done — & as GORGEOUS as they are — I SWEAR they taste even better!!!
