Avoid visiting midweek in November. The wines had been open a day or two, and they did not hold up well. The woman who hosted our tasting was little long on pretention and short on actual knowledge compared to other Keuka wineries. This was our second visit to Ravines, and it’s my least favorite on the east side of Keuka. Stop if you must, but if you’re short on time, this is the one to skip.

I’ve been here three times. I belong to the wine club and they do not make a wine I don’t like. There is not one wine here that I wouldn’t drink! The service is fantastic and the people are wonderful. Definitely do the cheese plate with the pairing! The wine is dry, balanced, smooth and with a ton of flavor. If you’re from PA like me, they can ship to you!

In late August of this year(2015), I went to the Revines tasting room. The young lady who assisted me during my tasting was Laura. Laura was very personable and professional. She took the time to explain the wines to me. I really enjoyed their Riesling and red varietals. I also had the change to speak with other members of the staff who were very professional and personable with me, making my experience at Revines very enjoyable.

Beautiful old barn for tasting. Good wine but a bit pricey in comparison to others. Limited tasting selection available. Staff was nice but a bit inattentive at first.

Ravines was the last stop on our recent Keuka Lake wine tour– they had a chocolate and cheese pairing that was well worth the $ 6 fee. The tasting room was smaller, but had a great atmosphere. The wines were good– we’d definitely stop here again!

What an incredible place! The highlight of my recent visit to the Finger Lakes. I did not know their wines before I visited, and I must admit I chose to visit them only because I had read on various websites that the winery was dog friendly. My beloved dog Fritz and I arrived, thinking that we would be tasting wines on their outside patio area, which features a magnificent view of that area of Keuka Lake where it splits into two branches. It is incredibly beautiful. But a worker who was sitting outside said that they don’t do the tastings out there, and my heart sank… until she said, «oh, you can bring your dog inside!» I couldn’t believe it. So Fritz and I climbed the steps into the main tasting room, and I had a tour through 9 different wines, 7 of which I thought were spectacular. I got all these tastes and a small cheese plate for $ 6. Any reviewer who says anything about«rip off» is both sadly mistaken, and also probably an employee of a competing winery. Their tasting program is incredibly generous, and the man who served me(and remarkably at the same time, about 8 other people!) was incredibly friendly, informative, vivacious, and clearly loving his job. His enthusiasm was infectious. Even though my tasting was supposed to include 6 wines, he let me try an additional 3. Also, the cheeses(which were local, too) were amazing. After the tasting, I had my shopping list all set. The women who helped me with my order were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they encouraged me to join the Ravinous Wine Club, because that would entitle me to a 20% discount on the mixed case of wines I was buying. The wine club commitment is only 4 bottles, shipped 4 times a year. Given the quality of what I tasted, I have no problem with that. As I said earlier, I loved 7 of the wines I tried, with standouts being their Pinot Noir and Meritage. The Dry Riesling and Keuka Village White were also terrific. And the sparkling Ayre, what a huge home-run! I loved Ravines, and following the tasting Fritz and I sat outside for half an hour, admiring the extraordinary view on one of the most beautiful days of the year. I did not want to leave, and I cannot wait to return, especially with dear friends and their beloved dog!

For«all» you complaining people about prices! Do not ever go to Napa? Sonoma, Ca, where they charge you $ 20.00 for one sample tasting! @ each winery.(no foods involved!) We «love» Ravines, along with the other finger lakes wineries. Having come to this area for the past 20 years or so, we have seen this area grow & they have the greatest wines in the world… One should check out their website on Keuka Lake & find out about the week end events throughout the year. Then, you will not be paying for each tasting! Many wineries offer their own events, with entertainment. //So, goes, also Seneca Lake & Cayuga Lake. We have traveled all over the world, tasting wines in Italy, France, Germany, Croatia, Turkey, ~~ Virginia, Maryland, N.J., Penna., Florida, Niagara on the Lake, California, Seattle, Wa Château Ste. Michelle(was good), Georgia, the list goes on & on, BUT, WE still Love the«Finger lakes wines»! They are the best! HANDSDOWN! You have to check out their websites: for the best deals!

Ravines is one of the best wineries on Keuka. They have dependable European style dry wines from year to year. This is one of a few places around here that makes a decent red, elsewhere I usually stick with the whites. Though it is over $ 5 for their specialty pairings, they are quite interesting.

Just visited. Paid for the $ 6 wine and cheese/chocolate pairing. Please note: if two of you go for this, then you get one plate, which you share. This is the same size as a single serving, so is a bit of a rip off. Wines are ok, but not brilliant. Unfortunately, the server was friendly but overly chatty, so she left some people waiting for too long. Overall, I would recommend as part of a wine tour, but not as a destination in its own right.

Ravines was my seventh and last visit on my Keuka Wine Trail excursion. Wish that I had stayed an extra day just to go back for more! The wines are incredible, the staff is incredible, the view is wonderful. This winery has a very warm and welcoming ambiance. They produce very high quality, French style wines that you can buy at reasonable prices. Ravines maintains a level of sophistication in their creations without coming off as pretentious either. My favorites included their Gewurtz, the Rose(finally, the only place I found a great, dry rose without it being so saccharine sweet and flowery as seen at other wineries) and the Meritage. Very much enjoyed the Keuka Village Red as well. I love that they do pairings w/Hedonist, which I already know is indulgent and to die for! I stocked up yesterday for gifts for, ‘friends and family,’ for the holidays coming up, but I’m not sure if these bottles will be safe at the house until December… :) I might have to join their wine club. Wish there were Ravines wine dinners in Rochester!

This was my favorite winery to visit at Keuka Lake. It doesn’t have the most spectacular view like some of the others but this beautiful building with a patio area to sit is amazing. Easily the most knowledgeable staff about their wines including origins and showing you what you’ll like based on your tastes. You can choose from their variety of reds and whites making it a good stop for a mixed group. I can’t recommend going here enough!

This place is a great find. My boyfriend and I happened upon it when we were out wine tasting on Keuka Lake. We decided to stop in and we were not disappointed. They have a decent selection of wines to choose from. They have one of the best Chardonnays around, in my opinion. Unfortunately, they were out of it last time we went in!!! They also have cheese and chocolate pairings for your tasting, all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommended trying their brut champagne. It’s worth the extra dollar!

Ravines is one of my favorite wineries I’ve been to on Keuka. I did a tasting paired with cheeses, and a tasting pared with delicious chocolates, and both were wonderful. The man who did our tasting — unfortunately I forget his name now — was incredibly knowledgable and experienced, and had worked in the industry for many years. I learned a great deal during the tasting. The views from the tasting room are wonderful, and the wine of course is delicious! The Gewürztraminer was one of my favorites.

They let us come in 2 minutes before closing — thank goodness too. We did the cheese and chocolate pairings and took home alot of things! The French Onion cheese was amazing!!! Along with the Orange Cranberry chocolate. Fantastic place — great personnel!

Already having a familiarity with some wine from Ravines, I stopped in here on a mid-week afternoon to check the place out for the first time. It’s worth saying that the view and grounds at the Keuka Lake location are stunning. We received excellent and very attentive service which is always highly appreciated in tasting rooms. but their wine is also some of the best I’ve had in the Finger Lakes. We walked away with their dry pinot rose, partially because it was a hot summer day but also because it was one of the more unique roses I’ve had, ever with a very earthy and hints of mushroom nose and palate. My friend and I both looked at each other and knew immediately that was going to be what we were drinking tonight. Still, some of their rieslings and reds are excellent as well and Ravine’s is definitely one of my favorite FLX wineries. The only downside: they need a café/bistro!

I would say this is one of the«fancier» wineries we visited over Memorial Day weekend. There is a lot of space in the building for different groups to taste, which was nice. At some wineries there isn’t a lot of room and you feel a little rushed or crowded, but not here. They had a door open outside where one group was tasting, which is great for the nice days. Our guide was very friendly and knew a lot about the wines. Some of them were very good and I bought a few bottles here. Another bonus is that their snack crackers provided at the tasting table were absolutely delicious.

4th stop on our Keuka Lake Wine tour. We came at the tail end of the day, so there weren’t that many people inside. We opted for one wine & chocolate pairing for $ 6. The chocolate pieces they provide are a bit tiny(there’s a sesame & sea salt chocolate, a dark chocolate with cranberry bits, and a truffle). The paring includes the Chardonnay and then 2 reds, plus you can select up to 2 – 3 more wines to taste. All the wines we tried were really nice. I was surprised at how well the chocolate and the red wine went together; it really took away some of the dryness of the red wine. My boyfriend opted for a tasting of the sweeter wine($ 1 extra). The guy was very knowledgeable about the wines and chocolate, and was also very nice and sweet.

The energy here is great and so is the wine! We went wine tasting all day today and although this one is a bit off the beaten path, it had the best wine and best personalities of any of the wineries we went to(Fox Run would come in a distant second.) Their winery is also more reminiscent of a humble, cozy, barn-like winery instead of an outdated retail outlet like so many others you walk into. High-fives all around!

If you like dry wines, you will love this place. The Sauvignon Blanc was tried is truly excellent, one of the best I’ve ever had(and I don’t even really like Sauv Blancs), and we enjoyed the rieslings and chardonnay and the cab franc. But the thing that really sold me on this place was the *incredibly* friendly service. We got here very close to closing-time, and the gentleman serving us said that they would stay open later if guests wanted to do a tasting and that they pride themselves on treating us the way they themselves would like to be treated. Well – they truly did – and we had an amazing time here. The view from the tasting bar and from the outdoor seating is one of the best we experienced at any Finger Lakes winery! Of the four highly-recommended wineries we tried while visiting the Finger Lakes, Ravines was for sure my very favorite!
