Bagel Palace

Busiest bagel place west of the canal for bagels on summer weekends.
When I’m driving in to Hampton Bays, this is the best bagel place in 8 towns out here. so its where I stop to pick up a few for Sunday etc.
Its not NYC or Nassau but its the Hamptons and its slimmer pickings.
Not close to Goldbergs in Westhampton for salads, or flagels. but for Bagels, they are better. they make them fresh and have a huge line on weekends. and its warm inside in July but hey… no one gets off the line! They have good lox, and make sandwiches (you may wait a bit).
I like the people there, and the owner, all working non stop for you to have a heavily seeded poppy or multigrain crispy bagel. Thanks …
They also cut mini bagels in minutes for me when I had people coming. and didn’t upcharge. Who does that? Once I came in late after they closed. and the owner had put a ton of bagels in a huge bag for a donation pick up. he said what kind did you want… Everything …? He let me in and buttered and undercharged because we chatted. Love this place. tip these guys.
Good flavors on everything, lots of seeds on poppy, crispy multigrain, and mini’s for company light bites.

I will never go here again. The man who took our order was pleasant, but the rest of the experience was terrible. We ordered our bagel and sat down, we heard the number called so we went to get it and when we did the woman turned her back and walked away. She was asked to go change the coffee and rolled her eyes and got angry. I was still waiting for my bagel and I told her she called my number and she looked at me turned away and ignored me. I was beyond shocked by this terrible service. They even forgot one Of our orders. The bagels are so much smaller than they used to be and they have terrible service. The owner seemed nice but his staff is absolutely terrible.

Went and got a few bagels and an egg sandwich. Waited for over 30 minutes. The clerk gave our egg sandwich to someone else, my son tried to tell her. She could not understand what he was saying. Terrible service and getting worse, cleanliness of store has worsened also. And summer is not even here yet…

It’s a good thing I love whitefish, because I probably wouldn’t have finished my bagel otherwise. I ordered a poppy bagel with whitefish. The bagel was stale and tasteless.
I only ate the top of the bagel and the whitefish. Not good.

Very popular and so expect long lines and an equally long wait for your food. Ok place that I used to be a fan of until I tried Hampton Bay’s Bagels on the west side of town. Better value for your money and a better quality of lox.

Bagels, bagel sandwiches, and iced coffee are still delicious! Service is slacking, though. The last two times we have been in they have mixed up our order and/​or forgotten a piece of our order. I know they have hired some new staff and I hope that everyone gets on the same page soon before the summer busy months come.

Not bad. Wish they carried asiago but o wells. (starbucks in the same mall carries them but of course starbucks food is just terrible). skip over the pastries.

It’s hard to be a bagel joint in NY … HIGH expectations to live up to! But Bagel Palace generally delivers. Their bagels are consistently good and always fresh. Cream cheese selection is standard NY — lots of flavors (scallion/​chive is always my fave). They could be a little more generous with the schmear here, but heck, I’m being picky.
Their other breakfast and lunch items are pretty good, too. They make a whole host of sandwiches, omelettes and other goodies.
Service is decent, not super friendly, but alright. There can be a bit of a wait if you pick the busy times — as one of the only bagel spots in HB, they get a lot of business, esp. in the summer, in the AM. People tend to flock here for hangover help. Prices are ok.
All in all, a decent choice and definitely convenient if you’re in HB, but there are definitely some more impressive options in nearby towns like Riverhead.
