This place is a hampton bays staple! I love coming here and getting breakfast/brunch. Theres nothing like some spicy food to start my day! I love that it’s really casual inside and not the typical Hamptons crowd. My food always comes out right and occasionally Orlando himself will come out and ask you how your food is. I am sad that I could not give Orlando’s 5 stars… unfortunately there is a very rude, impatient and clearly unhappy woman who is always working there making people feel unwelcome. It’s not like i caught her on a bad day. Ive been there over a dozen times and she’s always the same. Im always so nice to people who work at restaurants but she was having none of it. Please get someone more friendly in the front!

For those of you who don’t realize what this place is too bad and stay away. It’s fashioned after a Central American style café. No frills. Great flavor in the Latino stuff. That’s what Orlando does and who he is. Fried French toast is as well awesome. All tacos are killer. My go to breakfast is a Casado, rice beans plantains and salad. I take mine with two eggs and some roast chicken on the side. Typical Costa Rican dish. It’s a café people not a sit down spot. Just relax grab some food eat and when your done, get up and make room for the next people.

Too bad there is a health department violation here in the form of a cat walking all over the food service counter. Otherwise the breakfast was good until I saw the black cat being petted by the person serving us food. Yuck

Best Taco’s around. Chicken Tacos and a small Ice Tea. Try it, you will not be disappointed. I have yet to go, but I hear Friday and Saturdays are great as well and its BYOB.

Our food was great but, there was a long black hair in the middle of our huevos rancheros. Other than that the food is very tasty with fresh ingredients.

One star is too many. Dirty restaurant, terrible service, and mediocre food. We ordered scrambled eggs which came out runny so we sent them back and they made a scene and gave us attitude and then tried to charge us twice for the same order of scrambled eggs saying they«had to make it twice.» We’ll never go back.

I met a childhood friend at Orlando’s Café for a late b’fast today based on the Unilocal reviews alone. Wow! What a cool place with a menu we both loved, plenty of American & Latino offerings including fleshly baked goods. I had the Chilaquiles [with chorizo as an addition], identified as «spicy»! it met all my expectations and more! My buddy had an omelet with wheat toast and they let us keep the honey on the table! Imagine! We really enjoyed the food & the dining room staff was wonderful! The menu is on chalkboards on the walls, don’t expect to get a menu at the table-not a criticism, just a fact we didn’t know. We hadn’t seen each other in a few years and we lingered at our table, and the service people were very gracious about it. It costs so little to generously tip! I would go back there in a heart beat. Low key places with authentic ethnic food offerings can be the pearl in the oyster & are really cool! Terry

This place got killer reviews, but I’m not sure why. The place was fairly empty when we waked in late morning on a Thursday, but the woman at the counter took nearly 10 minutes to take our order. We poured our own crappy coffee, seated ourselves, and stewed in the summer heat(this place has no A/C OR airflow) while we waited at least 10 more minutes for our food, which was really just OK. For the price($ 30 for two people), it really should’ve been better. I’d rather grab bagels and sit in the park.

Let me warn you that the chilaquiles are delicious, but stomach-churningly spicy! For the longest time, I’ve been cheated on spice everywhere I go, but this is one instance where it actually exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend coating your stomach with some dairy, first.(In my case, I scarfed down some goat cheese, but I was still conquered after about 20 bites.) It seems other dishes, like the enchiladas, are also made very spicy. If Orlando will allow it, be sure to request that the spice be way turned down for you if you desire! I’m not a big fan of plantains, but the side of plantains is generous, and they are prepared so sweet that they tasted like dessert to me — in a good way! It’s a cute, hippie-ish place, with different musical acts depending on the night. A friend recalled some pleasant classical guitar one night. The night I went we weren’t so lucky — we sat for an hour and a half while some guy grated on our ears with very, VERY mediocre harmonica(sorry, guy!). A. Hold auditions for your acts, Orlando’s. B. I wouldn’t recommend anyone for this tiny place except that soothing classical guitarist. Otherwise, some chill music on speakers would suffice. There is no stage of any sort, so as you order your food you literally invade the performer’s space. If I’m in the area, I might go again, but I won’t be sprinting back.

It’s cash only. Great little café. I wish we got to explore the menu but we just kept it simple. Bacon, egg and cheese on a roll. Glad we did. It was a great start to our day The woman taking the orders was super friendly and so sweet. She made sure our table was clean and she made us feel comfortable. It was a little warm in there which was the only downfall. But overall it was a great experience. We will go back again.

Brunch can’t be beat. We were looking for a spot to grab a quick breakfast and this was perfect. Had a short wait for a table and once we did, the food came very quickly. The little fried beignets on the counter were fabulous, but they need to make it clear that you are welcome to them – I had to ask. Also, they serve the food on paper plates, which aren’t the most environmentally friendly nor do they match up to the quality of the food. Otherwise, delicious salsa verde and pico de gallo served with my eggs.

Stopped here driving through town on the way to West Hampton. The girl at the counter was short and she made us feel like we we’re disrupting her day. We came in right before lunch, but two of us ordered breakfast. I had the breakfast burrito, but it had lettuce in it with the eggs? Yuck!!! Had to scrape it out. My son had steak and eggs which he thought was ok. My daughter had a grilled ham and cheese which was very greasy. I went to pay and found out it was CASHONLY, good thing I had enough with me.

First pick, Huevos rancheros, opt for the homemade chorizo instead of the ham. And if you like a sweet breakfast, def get the French toast. It’s big and deep fried and delicious. A nice dish to share. Very relaxed atmosphere. Good place to hit before the beach.

Deep fried French toast! This place is one of my favorites. They have huge portions, delicious food, and Orlando is usually the one in the kitchen making the magic happen. It’s a great place to drink coffee, read the paper and listen to neighborhood gossip.

Went here last week for the first time after reading some reviews and was looking forward to great food and a pleasant experience. Instead of that loving bossy attitude we NewYorkers enjoy, I felt extremely negative vibes from the boss lady. Quite off putting actually. But okay everybody has an off day now and then. Refocused on the huevos racheros I had in front me and sure enough they were full of the appropriate fresh veggies and herbs. And then I found more fresh veggies and herbs, then more herbs and veggies. Finally I realized I was eating what I would call rancheros with pico de gallo. So I dug to the bottom in several places and no huevos anywhere except for tiny bits and pieces here and there. The average Yang Chow fried rice has more eggs in it than this No Huevos Racheros did. And here’s the kicker, we get to the cash register to pay the dragon lady and we are informed that there is a $ 2 surcharge on top of the $ 10 No Huevos Rancheros regular price because the price of a dozen eggs has jumped recently(I researched it briefly on Google, a doz eggs up 42 cents recently in the NY area). So Sourpuss decides to add a surcharge of $ 24 per doz to her Rancheros. We just paid and got the Hell out of there. Bye bye nasty dragon lady, I hope you’re feeling cheerier today. For sure I’ll never know. Ps. My friend and I shared a fried dough ball, over the top delishous dammit.

Let me just say that this place rocks! I had huevos rancheros and it was amazing and fresh. I had a sample of my buddies deep fried French toast and it was delicious. Going to order that next time. But you have to try the fresh donuts. Light and crispy outside and soft and gooy inside with a dusting of powdered sugar. You can tell the chef loves what he does. Very clean too

When I last wrote about Orlando’s Café It was ROTD! I deserves to be on the top of your list for Latin, «South of the Border» Food Eateries. I had lunch here a couple of days ago, 3 steal tacos and a side of black beans and rice. The stet tacos are perfectly seared and he adds pico, guac, sautéed onions, sour cream, chimichuri and some secret ingredients I cannot figure out… Best damn Tacos on soft corn tortillas. They also have pulled pork, pulled chicken and shrimp tacos, too. Everything I have ever eaten here is GREAT. Love the owners as well, Great People, Serving authentic specialties daily. «Ya Gotta Go Eat Here:
