The service won an extra star. Wonderful ladies flirted with my 18 month old son and pampered us with service. Food was fast, hot, and pretty good. Not the most amazing Mexican food I’ve ever had, but that isn’t what they are really known for, the lil man can’t really go too authentic. The service alone will bring me back again. Thank you!

Want to feel like you went on vacation, but never left Long Island? This is the place to go. If you know a little bit of Spanish, you’ll do just fine. The food is authentic Central American. Very tasty and large portions. Small intimate place. My only complaint is that the chairs are not too comfortable. When your done eating, you can buy some spanish food for your house and religious candels in the little store off to the left side. Nothing says«restaurante y bodega» like this place. Friendly staff. While you’re there, you can catch up on your favorite soccer game and have a drink at their colorful bar. The mixed drinks are nice and strong. Mrs. Sylvester says go for the Margarita. Sylvester knows best!

Worst servers ever, complained about what I ordered and didn’t have patience. And they gave me an attitude. Really disappointed, really was looking for a good experience here :(not going back

Cheap, yes… good, no. This roadside diner is charming, but is the epitome of the addage that you get what you pay for. Fried items are greasy, baked items too sweet. The chips are not bad though.

Best Latin, Mexican Food … Hands Down the only place we go! You can dine in, but we prefer to take out. You might have to brush up on your spanish, since it’s very authentic and loved by many latinos & gringas like myself! My favorites are … the Beef Tacos, Bandeja Montanera, Pollo en Salsa and Chicharrón. Always a great value & great taste!!!

In the Hamptons, one might feel pressed to find good food cheap. Upon a recommendation by Hamptons veteran, we decided to try Cabana Latina. When you come in, you have a choice of ordering at the front counter(for take-out or eating at the café tables outside), or being seated in the dining room. We chose the dining room, and we chose poorly, as apparently the service staff was stretched thin and fairly inattentive. While the wait for the server to come and take our order was reasonable, that was the last we’d see of anything resembling«prompt». The margaritas took a little longer than expected, and they were passable, though my drink, ordered«on the rocks», was more like«on the pebbles» as the ice had clearly had too much time to melt before it arrived at the table. Then came the interminably long wait for food. The chips and salsa(which had to be specifically ordered) took 45 min to come out as they«make it fresh». The salsa was tasty, but not nearly ample enough for even the modest amount of chips that came in the basket. The chips, too, were freshly made but were rather greasy. The main meal took *one hour and fifteen minutes* to arrive from the kitchen. In my dish, shrimp with garlic sauce, the shrimp was so overcooked that it ended up rubbery and extremely bitter. Raw octopus is easier to chew than this disaster; I had a very hard time getting any of it down. The accompanying rice and salad(shredded iceberg lettuce with vinaigrette and chopped tomatoes) was passable, and helped a little with overcoming bitterness of the shrimp. My dining partner ordered fried fish, which I thought was dry and tasteless. Pouring my garlic sauce over her fish rather improved her dish considerably, whereby she actually enjoyed her meal. Our server was unsympathetic to my complaint regarding the dish. Between the sluggish service, the apathy of the staff, and the acridity main dish, I will never eat here again.

A few years ago me and some family and friends came upon this place while driving towards Southhampton. Since then, this has become one of our enjoyable outings. This is a Central/South American restaurant. They have a decent menu and offer decent service, nothing spectacular, however an overall pleasureable experience. In my opinion, the food is above average, the portions are more than plenty and the prices are the best around. As long as this restaurant is around, I will remain to be a reliable customer.

Happened upon this place and it had the look of one of those real, authentic, gems that people don’t talk about b/c they don’t want it to be over-run by Hamptons-type people. Sadly, it wasn’t that much of a gem, but instead slightly above average. In fairness to the proprietors, I was there in between lunch and dinner — that weird hour when, possibly, the bartender was manning the grill. Either way, food was good, but not extremely memorable. Layout and décor definitely had the feel of any roadside cantina on most Central or Southern American roads. People were friendly too. Food was just okay. Prices were very, very fair. I might go back, but not the tops on the list.
