Nice décor, but extremely overpriced for just average tasting food. Restaurant was almost empty when we ate there and we didnt see a menu posted at the entrance. We only discovered their high pricing when we had already sat down. $ 25 is just way too expensive for fajitas. I ordered a simple chicken dish with a salsa – like sauce for $ 15, expecting something special for the price. Instead I received a very bland dish. Not going there again.

Wow, this place was great! My pregnant wife was feeling some Mexican food … weird right … checked out some Unilocal reviews in the area and found this hidden gem, margaritas were fantastic, waiter was professional and attentive, food was super fresh and the whole place was very very clean. So much better than most, they really put effort into what they do and this is one future regular customer who appreciates it!

Pros: — Fresh food — Generous size portions — Many entrée plates come with rice and beans, and also a scoop of guacamole and pico de gallo on the side. — Large outdoor courtyard patio for nice weather — Comfortable restaurant that looks recently remodeled — Courteous and attentive service — Good size parking lot behind the restaurant Cons: — Food is really under-seasoned. I have never in my life wanted to add salt to Mexican food, but I wanted to here. Also spicy sauce is very mild. — Sodas aren’t chilled but served in room temperature cans with big glasses of ice.

I live in hampton bays full time and have eaten al lot of fried calamari. I can honestly say the make the best i have ever had in a restaurant anywhere and a very nice generous portion size.

Best Margarita’s ever!!! Had a Fajitas combo which was delicious! Started with guacamole and Chips and their own Mexican salsa which was yummy! Try it and you won’t be disappointed.

So close to being good, but just misses in many categories. Service pleasant and willing, but made several small mistakes on orders. The straight-up American-style Mexican dishes are terrific(the wet burritos, enchiladas, fajitas), but don’t even think of trying any of the more«adventurous» dishes. Some prices are fine, some(mainly shrimp dishes) are WAY out of line. The décor is lovely. Yes there are several Mexican places nearby, but Taqueria Mi Pueblito is takeout and a totally different style of food, Blue Cactus is now closed, Orlando’s is idiosyncratic, not Mexican, and very very funky, Funchos in Riverhead and Westhampton are a minimum 20 minute drive. So there is a real opportunity for a good old-fashioned Mexican joint. This is almost it! Love their enchiladas! Hope they get their act together — hopefully they read these reviews. More business and thus more experience might help too.

Food here is made to order. I’ve been stopping in when it’s empty and it takes awhile for them to prepare the food but it’s been delicious and fresh each time. Absolutely some of the best mexican food I’ve ever had. I find myself missing this place and wanting to come back even when I’m too far to visit. The food is tasty and I’ve yet to have anything negative to say about the place. The sangrias are nice but the margaritas are even better. Can’t wait to return. Hopefully it isn’t too crowded this summer.

Highly recommend to anyone who likes Mexican food. Beautiful job on the renovation, very open and inviting. The food was really good — authentic Mexican. Staff was very friendly. Had a large group so the food took a little time to prepare, but not long, and it was fresh and hot(as opposed to some places which serve food that’s been sitting around). You could tell it was made to order. I couldn’t believe the prices were so reasonable. Each of us had 1 to 2 alcohol drinks, a main course, and a dessert and it worked out to less than $ 25 a person. There aren’t many places in the Hamptons you can find that(not even during restaurant week). Looking forward to going back, and planning on adding it as a go to spot.

Have been looking for a local Mexican food place and happy to say we found one. Great ambience, excellent and friendly waiter(Reuben), delicious food and a great margarita! Need I say more?

This place is okay but will need to up its game to survive in sleepy Hampton Bays. The place is newly renovated and nice and clean inside but also pretty bland. The service is slow. On a recent Saturday we were one of few tables in the place but the servers and staff still took their time taking orders, making drinks, and preparing the food. The food was average. Almost everything we received was over cooked and under seasoned. On a positive note, the margarita was very good. Finally, like the other reviewers mentioned, it is a tad over priced for average tacos, fajitas, and the like.

Best Mexican food on Long Island, the atmosphere was a little dead but you would expect that from a recently opened place in Hampton bays. Aside from that, the service was excellent and the food came out quickly.

We tried this restaurant last night and really wanted to like it. It seems to be new(it’s got that«fresh paint» feel and look), and the people are very nice. The problem is that the food is really expensive and it’s not good. The restaurant is trying to be upscale(and there’s definitely a market for that here), and they go the extra mile on presentation to make it look nice. But the food is NOT upscale, and it’s not even that good. My $ 14.00 steak enchiladas, for example, came with tough steak and the enchilada sauce was not tasty in my opinion.(I’d rather have really great enchiladas with ground beef for $ 8.00 instead.) I like fancy food — don’t get me wrong — and I’m happy to pay for it. But to me, expensive + fabulous = worth it. This equation was expensive + bland = not worth it. The service also needs some fine-tuning. People shouldn’t have to ask for basic things like a refill of the water glass. I do want to cut them some slack because I think they’re new. But we’re not going to pay $ 50+ for another bland dinner(no drinks, no appetizers — just 3 entrées).
