Happy with our recent stay. Great view, prime location. Clean room. Rooftop deck and front porch were nice. Parking was close. Overall nice first time experience.

Horrible customer service from the woman in reservations. The website says nothing about a 3 night minimum in September, yet they will not let me book 1 night.

It was certainly a clean hotel and unlike other reviewers I found it to be super quiet. However, easily one of the smallest rooms I’ve ever stayed at up in hampton and the stove was most likely from the 1950s or 1960s and was rusty and non functional. We weren’t using the stove but it was a big eyesore. Also the TV was very old and made a very loud buzzing noise and turned off everytime I sent a text message lol. $ 180 for a room with one queen bed just seemed a little high so I expected something much better for my money.

It’s a fine enough hotel. It’s SO close to the beach and for that it’s worth putting up with a small bathroom, not so comfortable beds and pillows, creepy room door situation.(Doesn’t scream secure. I put a chair under the knob every night). The actual hotel is very much OK for a beach hotel. My only real complaint is I found the owner to be a bit put off-ish. I experienced him in the store and behind the counter of the hotel and his interactions with me made me feel very un welcomed. The other hotel workers were fine. Free parking in two separate lots on the block Air condition in the room Fresh Towels everyday In room refrigerator Cable TV

We’ve stayed here a few times and have very few complaints. The prices are pretty reasonable for a hotel located right on the beach and it’s a nice no frills hotel that’s great for couples and families. Rooms: I can only speak for the only one we’ve had which is the 2 bedroom kitchenette on the ground floor. It’s spacious with 2 beds in one bedroom and a pullout sofa bed in the living room/kitchen area. The beds in the bedroom are nice and comfortable. The sofa bed is unbelievably uncomfortable. The metal bar hits you right in the back and if you try to roll out of bed, you will hit your knees or something else on the metal bars on the sides. Do NOT plop down on this bed, it WILL hurt. A lot. These rooms are no frills and basic, but they are very clean. Fresh linens and towels are provided. There are also some basic kitchen items provided in the kitchenette. Stove, fridge, range, and microwave all in good repair. No coffee maker though which seems odd. I understand you can ask for one, but most modern hotels have one in every room. Also, no iron but I think you can ask for one too. Air conditioning is great and cools very well. Cable TV provided with plenty of channels. The TV is teeny tiny though. Not what you’d expect in a large room. It was fine for us, but if you must have a huge TV then you’re out of luck. Bathroom: Small. Very small. Shower, sink, toilet. No tub. Hair dryer and some toiletries provided. Lots of towels. The water pressure is good, however, prepare to be blasted with boiling hot or freezing cold water at some point during your shower. Unpleasant. I’d be concerned about this if I had small children. The hot is pretty darn hot. Overall: Love the new market! Very convenient if you want snacks or forgot to pack something. Noise level is exactly what you would expect being so near the beach. I’d rate this quieter than average though. The staff is very friendly and professional. Clean common areas, rooms, and decks. Parking is free. There are 2 lots available on I street behind the hotel. Non-smoking. You can smoke on the porch though. Overall a nice place if you’re looking for clean, family friendly accommodations without a lot of frills. We’d stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Would not go back. Although it was pretty neat and clean, the beds were so uncomfortable and it was pretty noisy when trying to sleep not that we could because the bed was so uncomfortable. I would look elsewhere. The front desk closes at 9 and you have to let yourself in the lobby, felt really creepy… no real sense of security and no deadbolts on the doors. Rooms were really small cramped in with a huge fridge and very old stove, which we didn’t really need.

We went there last Sept, with the entire family. It was centrally located, right on the beach(facing the beach!). Nice hostess girl that took the reservations — she was customer focused, and was willing to help in way needed. They are a family focused business, and we found it to be clean, and quiet as well. And, they have a balcony out front, that we sat on to watch the fireworks — what a fun time! Hanging out on the main balcony, enjoying a few beverages, and met some fun new people at the same time! They have their own parking lot, right down the street. They really have thought of everything! I recommend this place to all, especially families — it is one of the best Hampton inns around!!!

So after all of this nonsense, I finally got only 1 days refund. 1⁄3rd of what we paid. I guess that no refund policy is really strict. It put such a smudge in an otherwise great summer.

I stayed here for the first time two days this August. i had read reviews which were very good. There were some small complaints and what impressed me was that every concern that travelers had was met with a response from the owners that showed great concern and attempts to correct the problem. These people seemed to really care about their guests. And this was correct. There is a beautiful big porch where people can sit and just people watch and listen and see the beautiful ocean and also enjoy the fireworks. The inside is immaculate with a beautiful living room for all to enjoy. Fresh fruit is put out daily. A truly homey atmosphere. You can leave your beach chairs on the front porch to be handy to bring over to the beach the next day which is only a few feet away. You are given a key to the front door as it is locked at night. Being a woman traveling alone I felt very safe and the right at home. Coming and going there was always a friendly face at the desk. Really nice people. I will definitely be visiting the beach View Inn again. Oh. a discount coupon to McGuirk’s restaurant in included which is a wonderful perk!!!
