Great pancakes!

It’s not hard to make breakfast… Which is why it is so disappointing when it is not done well. As is the case here.
Service? We stood in the doorway waiting to be directed to either be seated or to seat ourselves. 5 minutes later, I caught someone’s attention and we sat ourselves.
Atmosphere? Looks like an 80’s basement apartment.
Food? One of the worst I’ve ever had. I had the poached eggs, hash brown, and toast. Eggs were undercooked, toast was soggy and cold, hash was hard and flavorless. My wife had the pancakes. They tasted like rubber.
Also, they use styrofoam cups for water… Really ecologically irresponsible. I though Hampton prided itself on its recycling and green mindedness? Really disappointed…

Absolutely treacherous! When you walk in there is no host or directionality. You basically have to find a seat and then you get ignored for a significant amount of time– and I am talking about 10 – 15 minutes. When you finally catch a «waitress» and ask if your order can be taken you are met with a catty response and the waitress walking away. After some time she did eventually come back and was very rude when taking our orders. Once we got the food were were severely disappointed as it was mostly tasteless and not worth the wait or money.
It is really not worth going to. If I could give it a 0 on this I would have.

Can I give a zero? I have no idea what the food is like. I was hungry and my date said he saw a little place around the corner. We went in and sat ourselves. No one came. Two waitresses were bustling around, so we waited for them to get to the other tables who were being served. We sat for about 5 minutes, and I figured I’d go grab a menu on my own since no one came and they *must* have been busy.
Nope. Then they stood with their backs toward us after they made eye contact. Upon my date’s suggestion, we waited another 5 minutes. I have never felt so unwanted and uncomfortable in my life.
Absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful business.

This place is a hidden gem! It’s off to the side from ocean boulevard but it’s well worth it. The prices are good. The portions are larger than most on the beach for the cost. The staff is attentive and efficient. The atmosphere is very relaxing.
My husband and I are happy we have a set place to go now when we stay for a few days as we often do.
