The food is great. Would give 4 – 5 stars, but their customer service isn’t very impressive. They’re pretty rude while you’re ordering.

This place is nothing less than AMAZING! The staff is friendly and inviting, and the food is made right in front of you. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity that you receive. I will recommend this place to anyone that loves hibachi. Don’t be fooled by the exterior, this place is finominal!

Came here for the first time on New Years Day. Hibachi is one of my favorite foods ever and I was dying to give this place a try. The people at the front desk were very friendly and spoke well. There were kids playing beside the counter. I gave my order, paid, and sat down. It was under 10 $ for lunch(drink included). I got the steak hibachi lunch special that comes with soup. My food came out in under 10 minutes. It was very hot and smelled awesome! I had to knock off a star because the miso soup was lacking. I am not sure exactly what was off but it was more watery than flavorful. Disappointing because the soup is my favorite part of the meal. The steak and vegetables were plentiful in the lunch special and the rice was well seasoned. Overall it was a good meal aside from the soup. I don’t know if they give drink refills, I didn’t try to get one. The soda machine is behind the counter. I am going to try them again in a few weeks to see if the soup got any better and maybe try appetizers.

I love this place. The food is really good with pretty much all of the same selections as a more expensive hibachi place. Some people don’t like that the boxes are stuffed with rice but I love it because I have so much left over for later. The white sauce is so good and I always order another container. It’s 35¢ extra which is a good deal. The man and woman who work there are busy, but nice. They are pretty much a blur while I was there. Overall, good food at decent prices, with lots left over for lunch or dinner tomorrow.

Worst customer service. I pulled up through the drive thru and waited in line which was fine because I realize they tend to get busy. The lady(who is always the cashier) kept looking out of the window as each car in front of me received their order & she clearly saw my parked car at the order menu & failed to get on the headset to take my order. Finally when the last car in the line in front of me drove off I was still parked waiting for my order to be taken. There was a car behind me so when I pulled off she took their order while I sat at the drive-thru window to still be asked what I would like to order. I see her on her cell phone and I knock on the window to finally get her attention to ask if i could order through the window she replied with a no that I had to go back in line and order. I drive off and was going to go elsewhere but I figured since I had already waited over 30 minutes, that I should just stay there and order. So I did in up going inside to order. I don’t mind waiting because I realize it’s a fresh, inexpensive popular go to spot, but don’t get an attitude with your customers because you would rather be on your cell phone then tell them to go to the back of the line lol smh terrible!

This is the best gem My husband and I have found in all of Hampton! The hibachi food is really good! They’re fast, the family that owns it is really friendly, and they have great white sauce too. The only thing that wasn’t as good was the noodles. They are lomein in noodles versus the Japanese noodles we were used to. But they make it seem absolutely crazy to go anywhere but here for hibachi. We bring home dinner from them at least once a week and once you try it, you probably will too!

Horrible! Lots of noodles, not a lot of meat. Dragon roll had very little fish in it. If you want a lot of noodles go here if not stay away. Food is bland and steak was way over cooked. … I tried to post pics trust their food looks nothing like other people’s pics

We come here a lot during the week and today the food was horrible! They had different people inside cooking and taking orders but the broccoli was terrible and then I found a hair in my food!!! I took all the broccoli back along with the hair and she at first didn’t want to do anything about it and I asked for a refund and she gave me a refund just on my order which my whole family didn’t want to eat because of the terrible broccoli in our food and then the hair in mine. I won’t be coming back to this place to eat again.

This is the go to place for cheap and delicious sushi. They give you a good amount for a small price compared to those sushi restaurants which would cost you twice as much. It’s quick and made fresh to order. Way better and cheaper than grocery stores as well, with quality fish must I add. I haven’t had the hibachi stuff in a while so I can’t be the judge but from what I see the portions have gotten smaller sinced they first opened but regardless I’m sure it’s still good because my brother eats it every week still. Last time I got the California roll, the spicy salmon roll, and the spicy tuna roll and it was very filling for a total of $ 13 something with tax. They had this special which was three rolls and miso soup for $ 9 but I think they chose it, which is something their menu wasn’t clear about until I paid but still worth it in my opinion.

I’ve been to this place multiple times. If your looking for an inexpensive hibachi experience but good food this is the place. They gave multiple options to choose from and everything I’ve tried from this spot was good. I like H1. it’s the chicken combo. That white and red sauce is something special. If I could I put that s&%t on everything. One thing that I do have a problem is is that they pad the box with a bunch of rice. They didn’t always do that. Give me my veggies! Other than that this is a good place to go grab a bite to eat.

First I will preface this review by letting you know I was STARVING, when I finally decided what I wanted for dinner tonight. I’ve seen this place a bunch of times, but I’ve never seen it crowded there either, so I was hesitant to try it out. I opted to order take out from inside, since I was skeptical of the drive thru aspect. As other reviewers have mentioned, the cashier is also the person answering the phone, and taking drive thru orders(so I can see how this could get overwhelming), but he was pleasant enough. I ordered a house salad, a spicy tuna roll, and the hibachi chicken and steak for about $ 17. After about 6 – 7 minutes, my order was ready :) The salad came with some pretty good ginger dressing(love this stuff). The spicy tuna roll was pretty good for the price and was freshly made. The hibachi was hot and tasty, and came with a white sauce and ginger sauce. They do give you a ridiculous amount of fried rice, so maybe next time I might try to ask for double veggies. I wish there had been a wee bit more steak, but the portion of chicken was plentiful. I’ve been craving hibachi for a week or so, but didn’t want to sit by myself at the large table top style seating of my usual place. I’m very pleased with the food and wish I would’ve given this place a chance sooner. Good deal for the money and it’s super convenient to my home. I will definitely eat here again.

So awesome! Wish it was closer by, considering I live in VA Beach. If I’m in the area I’ll definitely return. The steak Japanese noodle lunch special was great and the shrimp tempura roll was equally great.

This is my new fave lunch dive in Hampton. It looks like a dive on the outside, but the inside is very clean, new décor and the food is yummy, fast and fresh. I love the avocado salad and their rolls are somewhat small but it hits the spot. The hibachi is really good — they make it in front of you but on the cooking line behind the counter. They are ready and working a good system — they pack up everything for you to go including your sauces. Great lunch prices and I can’t believe I didn’t find this place sooner but I will be back until my money runs out!

Drive thru is very convenient. If you’re looking for a quick meal that isn’t fast food, try this place. Decent amount of food for the price. I’m sure I’ll be back soon.

56 pieces of sushi for $ 25 and only a ten minute wait, you bet your ass I’m hitting that. Decent sushi, made in front of me. Short wait, decent sushi. Not going to kill my two places any time soon, but hell for the price I’m not going to nuke the whales either. So, eat here or else!

This place is a good alternative to Chinese food, it feels at little healthier but probably not. I do like that this place is really cheap, because when you go to a Teppanyaki restaurant, that bill can be like a shot through the heart. The sushi is really cheap but looks a little questionable, especially for the raw rolls, I think it’s best to stick to the cooked ones… All the meals come with fried rice, vegetables and that yummy white sauce. I don’t know what’s in it and I don’t want to know what’s in it, it will just ruin the mystery. As for the store itself, it’s a bit questionable. When I was growing up this place used to be at Dunkin’ Donuts, I moved away to NYC came and visited my parents and it was a hibachi place… Not the most amazing place but if you wanted cheap hibachi this is the place to go, I mean it’s called Hibachi Express.
