Very mixed experience here. We were seated downstairs by a disapproving hostess(we are in our 30s and were casually dressed but not in any way inappropriate) in an atmosphere best described as stodgy and creepily quiet. Felt like awkward dinner with in laws sitting near strangers while hearing them chew. Some weird mistakes like cold chowder(this came to light, but we weren’t comped), a bar that doesn’t know how to make classic cocktails(my boyfriend ordered a negronj and the word came back through our waitress that we should tell her the ingredients). The food was lovely. So maybe great upstairs? Or for an older crowd? Hip foodies should probably give this place a miss.

We enjoyed dinner. However, after dinner, the valet responsible for our car, couldn’t find the car keys or our car! We found the keys in our unlocked car. No, we will not be returning to Ron’s Landing for dinner anytime soon.

I had the fried clam appetizer and clam chowder. I think this was the worst tasting chowder I have had. the fried clams were not fresh.

Huge disappointment. We had never eaten here and really looked forward to it. The menu looked amazing and our server was a lovely young lady but the kitchen must have been off. It wasn’t very crowded but we were seated for almost an hour before we received our appetizers. 2 salads and 2 soups. Should not have been hard. Ordered a bottle of wine. Also did not come for quite some time when all of the other drinks were delivered. By this time, we had finished our drinks and someone at the table ordered another glass of wine and after 20 – 30 minutes, we had to remind the server that it was not delivered. The meals finally came and the presentation was beautiful. Unfortunately, mine was barely luke warm. I sent it back and the server offered to remake but honestly, the meals took so long to bring out that I was afraid that the other couples would already be home in bed by the time mine came out, so I said no. We had to ask for water refills and when we finally got to coffee and dessert, my husband’s decaf was cold. Like it had been made 2 days before. over all, it was a really lousy experience. We will not be going back. Perhaps the manager could have made it better but we never saw one… Never stopped by to apologize or offer alternatives. When we left, there we only a few tables taken so it wasn’t like they were overwhelmed for a saturday night… Too bad. It was a birthday celebration.

awesome experience with the family. ordered the escargot and it tasted delicious and my son loved it when he found out what it was. Also, ordered the mediterranean special and it was quite a delicious experience. We will be planning to come back and take friends to this restaurant instead of heading to Boston for seafood.

Had the marinated swordfish kabobs in the pub in the past and they were fabulous. Ordered them again recently and they were oily, the rice pilaf was very salty and basically very disappointing. Complained about it but still charged for it. The waitress was very nice and I like the location so will go back in case the chef just had a bad day.

High quality, highly quality, highly quality. I can’t stress this enough. The strip is littered with over priced fast food joints posing as higher end restaurants but this is the real thing. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the menu. Menu is prepared by a real chef, not Sponge Bob Square Pants that’s for sure. If I were to make any suggestion for this place, it would be to work on the appearance of the outside. It’s not very inviting and looks like the place is going to come crashing down soon. This is not just a paint job I’m talking about. From the outside the kitchen located on the side looks dilapidated. Surprising really food comes out of that shack.

Went for dinner with family that have never been there. Service, atmosphere and food were great. Ordered from the lighter fare and pub menu and everyone was more than satisfied. My only complaint(being a carb freak) was the bread was not up to par(very dry and not heated through). Other than that, no other issues.

Admitly I have not been to all of the restaurants at Hampton beach, so I cannot say with certainly that this is the best! My own ratting would be 5 star for the food and 3 star for the atmosphere, so it going to get a 4 star from myself. the restaurant itself is getting a bit tired, both inside and out, Ron’s needs to put a little $$$ back into it. The establishment is kind of small and the food is excellent, professionally prepared and served, as a result it can be a bit pricey. some entrys as much as $ 40, this restaurant is trying to be a 5 star restaurant, and upstairs a local bar pub with cold beer and music and dancing all at the same time. We sat upstairs for the view of the ocean, but we also had the bar/pub with music in the next room and within sight, this was fine for myself. If you are here for a special intermit dinner you may want to consider sitting downstairs. All tables have white linen table cloths and waiters are all dressed appropriately, service and food was top notch, 4 of us had a couple of mixed drinks each, 2 app’s and 4 entry’s, the bill with 25% tip was $ 300. This was our second time here this summer and we will return.

Ron’s is, arguably, the«best» restaurant on Hampton Beach, so I give it 3 stars. However, be warned you can expect high prices, small portions, and ok service. We live about 15 minutes away and stop by every couple years hoping something has changed — but it never does. On our most recent visit(just after Labor Day) we were again underwhelmed. The jumbo shrimp cocktail consisted of only 3 «barely jumbo» shrimp for $ 13. The fried clams only had two whole clams — all the rest were clam pieces(not quite HoJo clam strips, but almost) — I would swear they actually cut the clams in half before battering them. The fish tacos were tasty, but served in unheated taco shells, right out of the Old El Paso box. Service was OK, until I mentioned my disappointment with the cold uncooked taco shells, then it turned to ignore, ignore, ignore. Ron must think he got over on us good, but the joke is on him as we eat out 3 – 4 times per week, but not at Ron’s Landing.

I was very impressed with the meal here. The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because of the price. We enjoyed every aspect of our meal. The crab cake appetizer was the largest crab cake I have seen. It was quiet good with an appropriate mix of ingredients. My wife enjoyed her salad immensely. Our main meals were fantastic. I had the steak au pouvre and she has a seafood medley with fettuccine. Both were great. For desserts I had the Boston cream pie and my wife had the toll house pie. Considering they were gone very quickly I would say they were a bit.

I was planning a dinner for 12 ladies(on a weekend trip to Hampton Beach). Ron’s Landing was recommended for the food and the view. It’s sad to say that it was a disappointment and we didn’t even eat there. When I called to make the reservation, I was told that they do not reserve for groups more than 10. When I asked why I was told that«it gets too crazy». I’m not sure what that means, but we were a tame group of 30-year-olds, so I doubt it would have been us that were«too crazy». I then asked if he had any recommendations of a place locally that would«handle» our group, and he kindly gave me the names of two other restaurants. I have given this establishment one star because anyone with common sense knows that if you are running a business, you nerve turn customers away unless you truly have no choice. That is just bad business. We went to The Galley Hatch and had a wonderful meal.

Ron’s Landing is located near Hampton Beach, NH. They provide valet parking for its patrons. Patrons may choose to park at the Hampton Beach State Park Lot as well. Some of the seating had a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant was decorated with an ocean theme(e.g. fish vases, sail boats, starfish, coral, nets etc). For drinks, I’d recommend getting a glass of wine or an Arnold Palmer. After placing our order, our server brought a warm baguette and served with whipped butter on a wood artisan bread plank. For appetizers, we ordered Steamed PEI Mussels and Caesar Salad with Anchovies. The Steamed PEI Mussels consisted of a pound of medium sized mussels, steamed in white wine, garlic butter and lemon sauce and accompanied by a pre-sliced warm French baguette. This appetizer is ideal for mussel and garlic lovers. The Caesar Salad consisted of fresh chopped romaine lettuce tossed with their homemade Caesar dressing and topped with toasted garlic croutons and a shredded three cheese blend. We requested white anchovies for additional $ 1.00 but there was no sign of their presence. Since it was a holiday, we didn’t bother to complain. In addition to the two shared appetizers, we ordered the Seafood Mixed Grill and Seafood Primavera. The Seafood Mixed Grill consisted of three types of grilled fish(Tuna, Halibut, and Salmon), served with three dipping sauces(Ginger Soy, Pineapple Chutney, and Frangelico Cream), and accompanied with parmesan cheese and spinach rice(which we replaced with steamed vegetable medley and white rice). The Seafood Primavera consisted sautéed seafood medley(shrimp, salmon, tuna, mussels, and lobster meat) in a sundried tomato and herb butter sauce, topped with round sweet pea ravioli, artichoke hearts, capers, pea shoots, spinach, and pine nut. Both of the dishes were delicious in their own way but I’d highly recommend the Seafood Primavera because it was bursting with flavors. While we were waiting for the Hampton Beach fireworks display, we were thinking about dessert. Our server told us that they make about half of their desserts in house. These items include Crème Brulee, Blueberry Crisp A La Mode, Key Lime Pie, and Tollhouse Cookie Pie A La Mode. Since we’re big Crème Brulee fans, we had to order it. The Crème Brulee consisted of a warm, eggy custard topped with caramelized sugar, whipped cream, cinnamon sticks, and apple slices. However, it didn’t live up to our expectations. We felt that it was too runny and custardy.

It’s been years since I’ve been to Ron’s. Last time wasn’t so great so we decided to give it another try and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. PRO’s… –Service was fantastic, our waiter was great and very attentive –Our appetizers and entrees were both delightful, especially the tuna two ways special, and the portions were huge –They have clearly remodeled since we were there and it looks great –Valet parking is a nice touch, especially in an area where parking is challenging CON’s… –We found their prices to be a little expensive, seems like they are catering more to tourists than locals –The Creamsicle cocktail I ordered didn’t taste at all like what it was supposed to be, more like watered down orange juice We will definitely give it another try in the future!

Best clam chowder I have eaten. And I have had a lot of clam chowder. I ate the potato and chive encrusted haddock with lobster bits dripping in butter. Every single bite was delicious.

I had the filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and my friend had baked sea scallops with rice. The filet could not have been any more tender and melted in your mouth. The scallops were the best he had ever had. The potatoes were perfect. The atmosphere was clean and calm, a perfect way to spend an evening after a beach day. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Definitely a place worth checking out.

Found this place accidentally while driving by and we are very glad we did. Amazing food and great atmosphere. Generous portions and good drinks. Great view of the ocean if you sit by the window. We go back everytime we are in the area and can’t wait to go again!

This was the«light» menu? Stopped by Ron’s for some calories after a day of impulse surfing up the street. Having strolled by in flipflops and still-damp board shorts, I didn’t realize that this Ron’s is actually a nice sit-down kind of place. Certainly not one at which I’d feel comfortable sitting down and ordering a multi-course meal at that time. Fortunately, ordered off the«lighter fare» menu, which appeared to be a pared-down, sized-down version of Ron’s big boy menu. I got the seafood(shrimp, lobster, scallop) mac and cheese; friends got the fish tacos. As would befit a seafood champ, the mac and cheese was top notch, with generous seafood bits cooked to a succulent quality. Turn the plate into a creamy paella, and it might have approached top-five status. Fish tacos exploded with fish, and the friends cleaned them up rather quickly. $ 20/pp when ordering off the lighter fare menu. It looked pricier if planning to eat for keeps.
