Made dinner reservations for my husband(His Birthday) and myself last night at Savory Square Bistro. Our first time enjoying this Hampton, NH restaurant. The hostess and our waiter, Craig, were impeccable with customer service. They were both personable and enthusiastic and our meal was outstanding! My husband had the Steak Au Poivre and I had the Braised Short Ribs. We also enjoyed a Caprese Salad, wine(nice wine list), and Beignets for dessert. Loved the French Bistro atmosphere and intimacy of the restaurant. It was a perfect evening for my husband’s Birthday celebration! We highly recommend this incredible restaurant!

Savory Square Bistro — Hampton, NH — 6÷14÷2016 Seemingly in the middle of nowhere there is an oasis called Savory Square Bistro! Unbeknownst to me it’s a cooking school and restaurant… The people are super friendly and really make you feel at home… Especially Aline the hostess… Convenience of online booking added to easy to get to via my GOS and you have a real winner… First out the Baguette rolls with a honey, scallion & garlic alongside garlic olive oil… They bring in the bread par-baked and finish it off quite nicely… My server, Craig was great with the recommendations snd started me off with the Grilled BLT… Grilled romaine, crispy bacon, marinated tomatoes, Great Hill blue cheese all dressed in a red wine vinaigrette… Amazingly delicious! I love soup and who can pass up their New England Seafood Chowdah… Baby shrimp, scallops, crab meat, corn and red bliss potatoes in a rich creamy broth, topped with chopped bacon and smoked paprika oil… No joke– Best I’ve ever had in all the places I go! For the main the Pork Tenderloin Lyonnaise Au Dijon… Dijon cream sauce, bacon fat grilled leeks, roasted tomatoes, mixed beans; wax and green served with a vegetable pilaf. The pork was cooked to a warm pink center with a savory flavour that will set your taste buds on fire. To say it was delicious would be an understatement– Wow! Just the right amount of everything! I wasn’t going to have dessert until I saw the chocolate cookie… Baked individually and accompanied by warm chocolate syrup and a ball of vanilla ice cream… Add to that a spot on cappuccino… Chef Aaron Duval is a master of his craft! The dishes that come out of his kitchen are perfect in every detail… From the arrangement of the foods… To the textures… Colors… Each dish beautifully choreographed. I will definitely be back!

Overall, a fine choice for delicious French cuisine. The mussels app is a meal unto itself with a savory & creamy sauce. Very yummy…& the exceptional table bread should not be missed. Caesar salads were perfect. The entrée special, a Curry seafood stew was good. The Seafood fettuccine was better. Service is just right… not rushed & pleasant. The décor could be elevated somewhat & seating more comfortable. Overall, an easy decision to return.

I love this place. I have back four times and have never been disappointed. The lobster poutine is a must for an app. The steak and scallops with risotto are great entries.

Ryan and Paul were fantastic bartenders. Jojo rocks. Poutine fries and kebab chicken… Dreaming about this for days. Nothing better than that cookie skillet with that chocolate sauce. AMAZING

Filet mignon with lobster scampi was outstanding. Good service, one of my favorite places to dine. Save room for dessert — the Irish bread pudding is excellent!

Went here for date night because we live right in their back yard. Great little place. It was a Thursday I think, so it was pretty dead, but I get the impression it gets quite busy because their website offers table reservations. We just sat in the bar, but it was cute. Definitely save this for date night because it’s a little pricey for the portions, but at least it was yummy. My boyfriend got the pepper steak(which we were both a bit disappointed it comes pre-cut) and I got the mushroom risotto with scallops. Mine was AMAZING. Again, not huge portions but delicious. We also got a bottle of wine and our dinner was around $ 100 after tip. I don’t know if I would go out of my way to go here if I were a tourist, but if you’re from around here it’s worth a try at least once.

Great little restaurant with eclectic menu. Beautiful presentation and preparation of food. Had a super meal last year and stopped on arrival in town this year to make a reservation so as not to miss out on another great meal. Small venue so be sure to make a reservation so you won’t be disappointed. Didn’t try the weekday prix fixe deal, but it looked good too. Bar on site. The seafood chowder is loaded with seafood and wonderfully tasty, the beet salad is a great choice, sea scallops are delicious – both a recent special and off the menu choice were perfect, risottos served with dishes are flavorful. LEAVEROOMFORDESSERT! The warm chocolate chip cookie dessert is incredible – more like a light chocolate chip cookie soufflé with ice cream and 2 sauces on the side. Lovely presentation and even more lovely on the palate. This is a great choice for a nice meal when you come to the beach. See you next year!
