Sunday’s Blue Box Tanning Resort

The tanning beds here are very nice and I would even go to say that the packages are REASONABLE in price… but a business doesn’t thrive strictly off of guality of their product. The women who work here seem to be fresh out of high school with very little respect for their customers. Their attirudes are very snotty and better than thou and trying to ask a simple question will get you the «I can’t even» stare… I tried to cancel my membership and was sold on freezing my account where I was told that the $ 5/​mo. Would go towards the full month when I reactivate my account, so if I had it frozen for 5 months, thats $ 25 that would go towards paying my $ 45/​mo. When I reactivate… I signed the paper and off I went. When I asked again a few days later, another lady told me that the money could only be used for in store purchases. I don’t like being lied to, and I’ve worked in sales before so I’m sure these ladies are working off commission and will try to bend and twist what they say to make it benefit them. Be careful and don’t let them try to talk you into anything you don’t want.

Nothing but good experiences at this location. All the girls are so friendly and informative with all lotions and other products. I have been tanning there almost a year, and love it here! They offer so many awesome things including: 6 levels of tanning, a fit wrap, two spray tan machines, a beauty angel, massage chairs, and a cocoon bed. All of that is included in the membership I have for $ 78 a month. Which is completely worth it for all that’s included.

I swore I would never ran at a Sunday’s again (see my previous review for the one in Chesapeake). Anyway, I moved out to this area and was very limited in the amount of tanning beds to go to so I sucked it up and went to Sunday’s.
My experience at this location has been nothing but positive since I joined. Every single employee has been extremely friendly and welcoming and the beds are ALWAYS clean. I am very big on beds being clean. You can also tell they change their bulbs regularly. The employees are always willing to let me know about sales and specials on their lotions but they have never once been pushy or made me feel uncomfortable about not buying something.
They recently offered 11 days of free upgrades to any level of beds for all members and I thought it was great that they promoted it and didn’t try to upsell the tanning packages too.
Overall this location is clean and the employees are awesome and very friendly. I would definitely recommend tanning at this location.

The. Worst.
The tanning beds are fine but heaven forbid you try to leave that place.
I’ve attempted to cancel my membership for 3 months and they keep charging me. I’ve called every time and they say I have to give 30 days notice and it’s been 31 so I have to pay another $ 88! They’re rude and dismissive and I’ll never go to a Sunday’s again.

This is the only tanning I could find in the area, so pretty much didn’t have a choice. Luckily, it’s a great tanning salon! It’s clean, there are a lot of different options and products and most importantly the employees are nice, cheerful and helpful! I have had a pleasant experience with every visit! The only thing that takes it down a star is the prices are pretty steep but with little competition of other chains they can do that. But with that being said, I’m glad I get great service and products for the money!

This place is very clean and big which I love. I got a membership and it’s not a bad deal if you love to tan. Nice customer service too. My only recommendation is to ease up on pushing customers into buying lotion if they already have one.

This is more about how corporate runs this business. Very rude women I spoke with about a refund and how they charge after you cancel your membership. The lady insulted me about her being in this business for 5 years and she’s never had this conversation. Lack of respect towards others and also while I was on hold I could here the manager and employees chatting. I will never again go back to this place and recommend others to think twice about this joke of a tanning salon. I promised her that I would post about how she ran the business and displeasure of working with the customers :-)

Love this place. I go to this Sunday’s and the one in NN at least 2x week and I’m a huge fan. They have a fantastic selection of different levels of beds (all reasonably priced, but basically there is a package for every budget!). The fans are probably the best I’ve ever seen in a tanning bed, esp in the upper level beds. Each bed has it’s own music player which offers 5 or 6 different «channels» and most have the ability to connect an AUX for your iPod as well. Beds and rooms are always clean. They’re a decent size too, with a chair, a small shelf and a hook on the back of the door for your stuff.
Best part about Sunday’s is the staff. I have never gone in and been greeted with anything but enthusiasm and cheerfulness and I’m so impressed that they are able to remember the names of all their customers after only a few visits (some of them even remembered my name as early as my 2^nd visit)!
They offer great tanning packages that allow you to pay month-​to-​month where the monthly fee is automatically debited from your checking account, which I love! No need to even think about it! :) They also offer some fabulous deals, especially around the holidays, where you can prepay for a year of tanning and save a bunch of money! In addition, any tanning packages you buy, or even lotions, will give you Blue Bucks, which are basically credits that you can use to put towards lotions or upgrades (to higher level beds).
