Three Sisters Consignment

This is always the first place I go to when I need to shop. The atmosphere is serene and the owner is helpful and friendly. I almost always find what I need, which is surprising because I usually have a fairly specific item that I am looking for and of course a specific size. This is one of my favorite shops on the seacoast, consignment or otherwise.

I was looking for a place to consign and this was nearby. I had the same experience as the other reviewer: the owner has an attitude and acts like she’s doing you some huge favor by consigning your items.
She also charges $ 1/​item for ironing but at the time I consigned this was NOT written in a contract anywhere. Additionally, this is at her discretion; so imagine how miffed I was when I went to pick up a check and she had taken money off for ironing I didn’t even know she would be doing. She was ok in rectifying it (I was not budging: that kind of thing needs to be in writing), but it still gave me a sour feeling about her business/​business model. I genuinely felt like she was cheating me out of money. Hopefully she has corrected this in her contract.
Yes the prices are high for a shopper. This initially seemed like a good thing for me as a seller, but items end up getting marked down over and over anyway so it’s not a great deal.
Bottom line: stay away as a shopper and absolutely stay far away as a consignor. There are other options in the Seacoast area: go with those.

This store is okay if you just want to browse. It claims to have designer labels, but you’ll notice that some of the labels are not that high-​end. Prices are high. I shopped this store from the time it opened and the owner always seemed somewhat friendly. I had a different experience when I attempted to consign some items. She seemed annoyed with me through the whole process and acted kinda snooty. I guess it’s different when she might have to give ME some money… Won’t shop there again, and yeah, there ARE better places to consign…
