Very delicious every time I order from here never disappointed! Better then getting fast food. I’d pick this place over subway any day!!! Can’t really remember the number I get but I know it’s a spicy turkey with jalapeños and lettuce and onion Munster cheese and mayo I believe… Love it!

This place is very very good, only the best quality meats & cheeses, the employees are as nice as ive seen anywhere. Come to experience an incredible sandwich and pleasant atmosphere

What can I say? I’ve been coming here for two years for a reason. The food and service are excellent. A wide variety of meats allow for a number of combinations for sandwiches. Don’t forget the variety in drinks. Ranging from lattes to smoothies. Refreshing and full of flavor. This is one place you don’t want to miss.

I am a regular customer here and every time I visit the service is very friendly and welcoming. They always remember their customers. And the food is always delicious!!! It’s super clean and there’s a nice lounge area in the back with free WiFi.
They serve Great Lakes coffee and make the best lattes. My experience here has been good every time and I would recommend this place to others.

I can’t figure out why the reviews are so high. Maybe because it’s open until 9pm? Maybe they have really good coffee or something I didn’t order.
The staff was friendly but the sandwiches are mediocre. The fact that they proudly use Boar’s Head doesn’t justify the small, overpriced subs. Mine was forgettable. It lacked meat and flavor. Street parking is a hassle because Caniff is busy no matter what time of day.
The café is a lot bigger than it looks. There’s a huge area in the back that has modern décor including a couch and a few tables and chairs. Because the area is so big, it looks sparsely furnished. WiFi is free but the seating area wasn’t very clean. The tables looked like they hadn’t been bussed.
A friendly manager did speak to me as he walked by. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.

I love this spot! The mesquite turkey sandwich is my favorite, but everything I’ve ordered has always been delicious. The guys who own the place are really nice and you can tell that they really care about their neighborhood. I usually get it to-​go, but there is a nice, big room in the back for hanging out or studying. A really great spot, the food reminiscent of a café I used to work at in Chicago and now when I get those nostalgic cravings, I can just go right down the street.

They do it simple and right. Good coffee, tasty sandwiches and a bright and clean space. Back room could use a little sprucing up and it had a weird smell… needs better décor and lighting that could be done simply… check out Great Lakes in downtown Detroit for example, but still a good place to have a lunch and perhaps do some work. Ice cream and smoothies also available.

Good coffee, very spacious work area with lots of tables, good wifi, friendly staff. Very very happy I came here to get some work done.

In town from Denver. Stopped by with a friend. SO glad I did. Great sandwich. Friendly staff. Clean. Definitely gonna make this a stop every time I’m in Detroit.

Clean as a whistle, fresh meat, cheese and veggies every day, fast, efficient and friendly service. An exceptional value and a must stop if in the area. Breakfast offerings are great, too. True entrepreneurs who obviously care about their customers, their business and the community. Here’s to many more carry outs!

Its so nice to finally have that one café that I can always go to and never be let down. They have Great Lakes coffee for CHEAP, and their subs & sandwiches are plump and made with Boar’s Head and fresh bread, and are very reasonably priced. What I love most is the warm, friendly atmosphere… Jamal and Taher are really cool guys, and it rubs off on the customers! I LOVE THIS PLACE!

The staff are wonderful. I always feel welcome here. Very happy with the vegetarian options and Great Lakes coffee is so good. I will come back all the time.

This is a little jem in Hamtramck, serving boar’s head premium meat, love their spicy Turkey sandwich and their coffee is official… If you like fast and healthy eating that’s the spot…

It is refreshing to find a business owner that is so concerned with serving a quality product. The sandwiches are all top-​notch. They are all made with Boar’s Head deli meats & cheeses (the best money can buy) and he uses fresh, locally baked bread. A great cup of coffee can also be found here too. Jamal and his staff serve a great cup of coffee using beans from Great Lakes Coffee Roasting company. Everything I have tried has exceeded my expectation. Worth a drive to Hamtramck!

Solid soy latte, great baklava. Counter staff is very warm and friendly. Faster wi-​fi and open later than most other coffee shops in our area. Might be nice to add some rugs in the larger seating area in back so it doesn’t feel cold.

Awesome service, great food and drinks and a wonderful interior. I will return for many more study sessions!

This is a special place in Hamtramck. It’s perfectly located on Caniff with street parking and the city municipal parking lot on the corner. The staff is so nice and they’re ALL efficient. The product, no matter if it’s a sandwich (boar’s head meat and cheeses), a scoop of ice cream (Stroh’s ice cream), or a cup of coffee (Great Lakes) it’s always perfect. We have never had something that wasn’t great. They are on top of their game at this deli. Also, the seating is DOPE! I have come here many times to do homework and the deli provides free wifi. Guests can sit on the comfy couches or the perfect size tables. Super clean, feels like home.

Hands down, the best sandwich shop in Hamtramck to date. I’m glad to see a business take quality up a notch in Hamtramck which unfortunately swims in the pool of mediocrity. Is this a sign that our community is turning the corner?
Boar’s Head products are exclusively used here which is a first in Hamtramck. I ordered a blackened turkey with hot peppers and spicy mustard on a pressed hoagie roll. While offering a volcano of flavor, it was quite good. The sandwich was a decent sized and was perfect for what I was looking for. They have recently expanded their sandwich offerings and will most likely need a menu reprint.
Beyond sandwiches, it also offers a premium coffee bar that features Great Lakes beans. Not the best cup but decent all the same and local. Coffee prices for lattes and caps are very well priced. They also offer ice cream and smoothies. What is nice is the lounge and tables in the back to enjoy your meal or soak up some wi-​fi. The place is clean from top to bottom and back to front which also eludes many Hamtramck businesses. Owners and employees are nice and eager to please.
Street parking out front is at a premium. There is a city parking lot a few doors down across from the DIY car wash. They take credit cards without charging a premium.
There is room for Café 1923 and Delite Café in this town. Henrietta Haus may make things a crowd but they have yet to open on the south end. However, with Courage Coffee now closed, Delite is the best place for either coffee or a sandwich on Caniff.
I only hope that the owners will be able to retail the Boar’s Head meats and cheeses by the per pound sale so I don’t have to drive to Royal Oak or Grosse Pointe to get my fix.

They are doing a lot of things right here.
Great Lakes coffee, made well. (the cappucinos and lattes are great) You can also buy whole beans or ground coffee.
Boar’s Head meat makes a huge difference. Good bread makes a big difference. Their selection of sandwiches is maybe a bit small now, and they could certainly expand their menu a bit, but the ones I have had have been fresh and tasty. I’m told they are now offering breakfast wraps, as they open early. I love the pickles on the side.
There is a huge room in the back with couches and tables. There is definitely free wi-​fi, that I have taken advantage of for work and studying.
The staff is super friendly and happy to recommend something if you are unsure about what you want. The owner told me the reuben and the blazin’ sandwiches are the most popular now. I’d like to see some weird specialty sandwiches in here too. this is Hamtramck after all, bring on the weird.
This is probably the best place to have a sandwich in Hamtramck right now. With a little more experience and a little more variety, this place will be a solid five stars.
