New Deluxe Bakery

Unfortunately New Deluxe is now closed.
Rose was an absolute delight and she treated everyone like she new them all her life.
i stopped in on the last day (Nov 12^th) and shed a tear when i got back to my car.
I’ll probably do the same on paczki day.

It’s like walking back in time. Rose who owns the bakery is a class act and a stickler for detail. All the items are fresh daily and picking one is impossible. Expect to walk out with your arms full.

Not only are the paczkis at New Deluxe amazing, but the employees are super pleasant and very helpful!
I took the advice of some other Unilocalers and preordered my Fat Tuesday paczkis — man, was THAT a good idea. They’ll have the box ready when you walk in, whenever you want, and you can bypass the line and head home with your Polish donut goodness. I spoke with the owner’s daughter and she was exceptionally helpful and patient.
I was even late picking my order up, but I was STILL able to jump past the line (that wound twice around the inside of the bakery and out the door)!
Paczkis are awesome and they’re filling options are plentiful and delicious. I can’t say I braved their prune options, but the apple ones were my fave!!! I’ll be back next year!

This is the best bakery for authentic Polish and European baked goods. The service is spectacular and the food is fresh and delicious at a great price. You cannot find a better value for your money OR your taste buds. Try everything. It’s all good.

Hmm, I wish I would have read Tim H.‘s review in advance. Yes, the line for Paczki was long (almost two hours). However, spirits were high and the end product was well worth the wait. We (yes, we, not I alone!) tried several different flavors of this delicious little devil, including prune, blueberry, apple, raspberry and custard. All were outstanding. I definitely plan on going back to try other baked goods in the near future.

Hillary nailed all the major points I would have made about New Deluxe. I would only add that every Saturday they feature mini paczkis in just two flavors: raspberry jelly and custard. They are the perfect size for those who want to fool themselves into thinking they are eating less (Try just eating one, I dare you!).
And on every Friday during Lent, they sell hot cross buns that are simply delicious.
Unless you do like standing in a snakelike line on Paczki Day, do call ahead to place your order about a week beforehand. You will then be able to walk right in past the masses waiting to a separate pick up counter and be on your way in no time at all. Just disregard that burning sensation you will experience on the back of your head as the less fortunate shoot evil beams of jealousy from their glaring eyes.
