Overall this was a really great experience. The restaurant offers an amazing happy hour from 3 – 5 pm with $ 6 margaritas, mai tais, and pina coladas. There are also an assortment of cheap appetizers. Overall I was really impressed with the all of the drinks and the coconut shrimp especially. The wings were just okay, but obviously I was going for the seafood mostly. Service was awesome. Everyone all around was great and all smiles.

This is a good place for a snack, but maybe not for a full meal. The mango colada was delicious as was the coconut shrimp appetizer. Our entrees were so unmemorable that I’ve already forgotten what we ordered. The atmosphere inside is touristy, but we had a great table on the lanai overlooking the main street where we enjoyed our drinks and had fun relaxing and people-watching.

I can’t speak to other meals, but the breakfast is top notch and a great value. We had the Bananas Foster Mac Nut Pancakes, which were huge and phenomenal for just ~$ 8. The breakfast burrito was stuffed full and enough for 2 to share. The sausage is a Portuguese type sausage and the enchilada sauce was above average for Hawaii. Good deal at $ 11. The Peaches and Cream stuffed French toast was off the chains good. Overall, great breakfast with good service.

This is a cool, relaxing place to hang out. They have good food and drinks. We had the steak nachos which were good. We drank a Kauai Tai and Pain Killer which were also refreshing. If you are a beer drinker, they have an advanced tap system that not only keeps the beer cold but it is displayed on the bar wall if you are curious. If you arte fighting the Hawaiin heat, you want a cold brew. I wish I could teleport back to this place. What a fun time.

Happy hour food is decent if you are in for fried food. The sampler was good with wings, calamari and coconut shrimp. Calamari was cooked perfect. They make a good Piña colada and passion fruit daiquiri. Get a spot in front on the lanai so you have a great view of the waterfalls. Would have gave a higher review if they had more to offer than«bar food», but it is a kick ace bar

Macho Nacho, frozen margaritas and an enormous piece of mud pie! Just forty bucks. And now for a nap. :)

Mediocre tourist food. After traveling all day and getting to the island late night, we were starvin by sunrise and took a drive into Hanalai to find a place that is actually open for breakfast. The blackened Mahi benedict sounded like a good idea, but cardboard flavoured dried out fish drowned in runny eggs doesn’t taste so good on an empty stomach. For the loco moco, pass of the bucket of heart attack gravy and fried onion rings. The mai tai was poured strong so I got over it. We did get lots of coffee refills. Might be a fun place to get drunk with rich white tourists watching football during happy hour? Or not. I’ll pass next time. Aloha.

We were having a tough time choosing a place for lunch and Kalypso came through. The food was good. The beer was cold. The service was pleasant. We would recommend Kalypso for a casual lunch in the area.

Huli Huli chicken was terribly, terribly dry. BBQ Burger was okay. Both overpriced for the quality. Live Music was great and staff was friendly, casual and accommodating.

My wife and I have eaten here several times. It’s nothing fancy, but the food is decent, and the service is friendly. This last rip, I had a burger and to be honest, it wasn’t that good. But we had the nachos our last visit and they were tasty. importantly, they could make a mean Moscow Mule… down to the copper cup.

This somewhat touristy spot right on the main drag caters to all types. I had a burger and my wife cut her teeth on fish and chips(her first). After spending the morning at the beach at Hanalei Bay, it was a welcome relief from the sun. Definitely have the half and half wings if that’s your thing. Perfectly crispy and the BBQ ones were awesome. Price was just right, a welcome relief from the jacked up prices of the south shore. Also, I loved that a chicken walked by while we were eating. A quintessential Kauai experience.

The food was very good and the waiter friendly. The service was quick and we enjoyed sitting outside. Why would we just end up giving 2 stars?! Well, the hostess was just super unfriendly. There was no «welcome», just looked at us, took 2 menu cards, threw them on a table and went away. We were pretty surprised and thought that she might just have a bad day. Next time I looked over to her, she was picking her ear, and observing(tasting) whatever had come out of there. It was pretty gross to look at. The phrase, ‘you never get a second chance to make a first impression’ fits pretty well.

On our trip to Kauai we found very limited food options all around, which was unfortunate, but this place fit the bill for a solid meal at a reasonable price. Server was extremely friendly and food was very good, if not amazing. Waffle fries were a plus as well. Beats most places around here easily with wide selection of food

We happened in for lunch with the 2 kids. No real wait and the service was really pleasant. We both had the fish tacos and they were pretty good. The portions are enormous so for the moderate people, you could easily consider sharing. The kids had Mac and cheese and a hot dog. No real complaints from that end of the table. The game was on. It was warm. Our waitress was very nice. All in all, a good place.

I was hesitant about trying this place because if the mixed reviews. My husband recommended we stop by during happy hour for a late lunch with the kiddos. We took advantage of the $ 6 mai tai and piña colada prices. We also shared a burger and the kiddos enjoyed items from their kids menu. The portions are large and the food is slightly above average bar fare. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we all came back the next day. During our second visit I tried the chicken pesto sandwich and it was really good. Both days our waitresses were friendly and the food was tasty. We will be back next time we visit Kauai.

Nachose & poke. A+. Service, if you’re a large party don’t bother. The service is sub par for the amount of the obligatory tip.

Holy mahi mahi! This place is by far better than you would think. We are having a great night. We are nestled into the mountains of Kauai looking up from our patio having dinner. The name of the restaurant hurts them. It sounds carribean but it is pure Hawaii. We had the nachos to start and added the kalua pork. They lost money on this dish. It is huge with massive amounts of pork. It’s hard to call this a starter. We even ordered one of our favorite wines. Merry Edwards Pinot noir. If you are in the know and have discreet tastes in wine you understand. If not read on and order a mai tai. This place has it going on. Next up we had the fish sandwich and fish tacos. The sandwich came on a locally made taro bun. One of the best ever. Please consider me an expert in this area! Trust me. It took energy to find this app on my phone and let you know. Food and view are as good as you can get. If we were not flying out tomorrow morning we would be having dinner here tomorrow night.
