As a seattlite, coffee is something I am picky about. I don’t just rate based on the coffee alone, but the location, ambiance and customer service. This place is one of the only coffee shops on the north part of the island. I rate this 4 stars because overall the experience was enjoyable. The barista was very kind, but honest about their coffee not being up to par with a Seattle coffee shop, which I can appreciate the honesty. I noted she had many of her customers drinks memorized when they walked in… which is an incredible given she spoke of having new customers every week. Excellent service in that aspect. The shop had a lot of neat art and jewelry which I don’t really care for, and they had some seating available outside which was nice, but not a lot of options if you want a nice view of the ocean while you sip. Now for the coffee. I ordered a mocha with soy, and I do appreciate that it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet, coffee was okay(if your looking for something rich and creamy for coffee taste, this may not be your place). A bit overpriced for the quality, but it overall gave me what I was looking for!

Beautiful art, jewelry, and prints. Stopped here for coffee in the afternoon. Absolutely scrumptious. Then you can walk on down to the beach for a great view.

We visit Kauai every year and always enjoy shopping at this art gallery. We simply do not understand the prior review as customer service is consistently outstanding. Solid selection of local art including quality jewelry. We have never ordered coffee so can’t speak to the beverage aspect. Regardless, this is a charming island gallery and we highly recommend!

This place is dangerous! I went in for coffee and began to speak to Love who was pleasant and friendly. I told her I wanted to look around and«collect» a few items to buy and then went to get my husband next door at the Mediterranean restaurant. I said I need you to come into this coffee/art gallery boutique– it’s AMAZING and a gem of the Hanalei Bay! I fell in love with the local artist paintings as I love Roosters! The jewelry each unique, I wanted to buy them all! Love works there and is from Sam Francisco. She has been in Kauai for 15 years, a common theme I seen with many people who came to visit and decided to live here. I understand why too! Located near the beach– all items are made by local artists with exception to the bracelets but they are each unique and exquisite. Oh did I mention how delicious their coffee was? My husband treated me to an exquisite cuff bracelet and I also purchase an Amethyst gnome to use as a paper weight. Love knows how to make a Delicious foamy cappuccino! She made our day with her enthusiasm for the artwork and was quite knowledgable about each piece of jewelry! She was very kind and has a great sense of humor! I am purchasing a few paintings and jewelry from them as I write this!

*****AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID*** First, I wish I could give this no star at all. Avoid this place by all costs. My wife and I stopped for an afternoon coffee on the way back from hiking at Na Pali. The lady working was completely rude; treated us like we were wasting her time. I asked about the Art and local shots for photography in which I was answered in one word answers. I asked my wife if she though that she was rude and she agreed. I don’t mention anything to people when they are rude normally, but the way that the lady working treated us I had decided to mention something to her. I politely told her that I understand everyone has bad day and that I have no idea what is going on in her life, but that I had just received the worst customer service that I have had on our trip to the Island after paying for overpriced, no better than Starbucks, coffee drinks. I said this very calmly and to the side quietly. She said, «Well what did I say that was rude exactly?» I told her that I work in customer service and that it was everything she did from our first step in. She was rude, short, didn’t really answer my questions about the art(when I was interested in purchasing some) and was overly sarcastic on everything. I told her that you just never know who you might be talking to and that you can’t treat customers like that, she replied, «well you can’t make everyone can you?» With a sneer. Now, I totally get it people have bad days every day, but in a high end art shop(one of the only in that region of the island that attracts so much tourism) it’s not right. This isn’t even the best part, honestly, I would probably go back and buy some of the art just as I was trying to find gifts, but after leaving the store a local man(Caucasian, roughly 35 – 40, driving who I am guessing was his mother around) looked at me as he exited the coffee and art shop and yelled, «YOU’RE A F*****G A*****E!» I was a little startled. Then he continued to drive off a little bit and before leaving the parking lot rolled down his window and yelled, «TAKEYOURCONVERTIBLEANDGOHOME!» Yeah… I won’t be stopping here ever again and highly recommend that other tourists avoid this business. They have great art and OK coffee, but the customer service and experience is that of which the worst that I’ve ever received which is a sad reflection of the shop.

Love this place, just wondered in here looking for a quick pick me up. Walked out with two awesome cups of coffee, beautiful koa ring and some wisdom rocks. Met the owner, very nice man. Stop here for a great vanilla or chai latte.

Wandered into the Napali Art Gallery and Coffee House just 3 days before we were leaving Kauai. I had been shopping for a new black pearl for more than a week. The one I was wearing, I have been wearing for 17 years, and my body oils have worn away the outer layer of the pearl! It has such special meaning to me, I was looking for, I don’t know what, but something special. Will was fascinated and volunteered to find me a new pearl. Trusting him with my pearl, so he could use my setting, I left my pear with him and flew home. Will went to his pearl sources and the hunt was on. I received a box from Kauai today. Both pearls were inside. The new one, mounted on my setting and the faithful companion of 17 years. Will, outdid himself. The new pearl is exactly the size and shape we discussed. The coloring is beautiful, with all the nuances of color reflecting in different lights. I cannot recommend Will and Napali Art Gallery enough. This out-of-the-way shop could easily have been dismissed as a tourist shop, but with Will’s interest, insight and willingness to go the extra mile, it is a destination worth finding.

This a review of the coffee shop not the art gallery. The coffee is good. The bagels are good. The prices are a tad higher than Starbucks but I expect to pay the island premium. I’m just happy there’s a coffee place a minute from our house. Although my four stars is for the coffee and location… I will mention that the art, however, is run of the mill cheesy, touristy shlock. Banal illustrations crowd the walls the gallery, hung salon style. Pictures of boats and roosters and beaches and blah blah blah. I’m sure there’s a good version of island art out there but this isn’t it. The jewelry is less offensive but equally banal. I will end on a positive note and say that if you’re in the market for a 2 dollar bagel and a 1400 dollar massive crystal you’ve come to the right one stop shop.

The only thing this place has going for it is the fact that it is the only coffee shop in the area. The«drink man,» as he called himself, brewed up an OK spiced chai for me and my wife, but it was a little over priced. The layout of the store was also a little awkward. There is jewelry and art for sale in front of the drink counter. When ordering a drink, customers may find themselves in the way of the patrons who are looking at art or jewelry. This happened to me a few times while waiting for my drink and there was really no place to escape to except outside on the lanai. Speaking of the lanai, there is a small counter out front to enjoy your drink and take in the parking lot views. Overall, this place is average. They have coffee, which I would expect when I see the name of the business.

The artwork, gifts, jewelry etc. are quite nice. The coffee? meh. The bagel? just ok. The two women behind the counter? Their loud, annoying, too cool for school attitude is a real turn off… couldn’t wait to leave.

A horrible experience. I was verbally assaulted by some local jerk while I was giving my order to the girl behind the counter. Apparently I am what is wrong with the country because I ordered more than one coffee at a time. The verbal attack continued while I waited for my three coffees. Everything from the car i was driving to my tattoo was in his rant. The girl behind the counter(one of two sisters who work there) said nothing and acted as though this is a daily occurrence. I’ll never go back and I don’t recommend you do either. This place sucks.

This used to be my favorite place for a chai. Im from this area and come here often to visit my family, I used to come here daily while visiting but over the last year or so the people who work here are RUDERUDERUDE. Well actually one person in particular, apparently she is the fiancé of the owner, I don’t know her name but she is not just dismissive or unfriendly, she is straight up mean. I’ve decided not to give her/them anymore of my money.

Considering they are the only coffee house for miles around, you’d think this was a no brainer. Serve good espresso drinks, a couple freshly baked muffins and cinnamon rolls, and a fresh fruit bowl. Nothing too complete. But, alas, they are no longer able to get any of the basics right. A few years ago, they did have good espresso, fresh muffins and cinnamon rolls at a reasonable price, but now it’s weak espresso and $ 6 pre-wrapped miniscule cinnamon rolls. Since it’s the coffee that bringing people in to the building who later see the artwork, they better work on their business model. Best bet is to stop in Hananlei before heading this way if you want some real coffee. Update: just went again and it’s even worse. This is really just an art gallery and not much of a coffee house. Yes, they do sell coffee and there are muffins in the fridge, both are not obvious when you walk in.

Stopped in here after having some lunch at the Med Gourmet next door. Wow what a treat, some extremely beautiful art work and some delish coffee. I got the Chocolate Peanut Butter Coffee Cooler and the wife got the Smoothie. We bought a braclet and and a nice picture and frame to be shipped home. The clerk«LOVE» was extremely helpful and went above and beyond helping us make a selection. Would highly recommend checking out this unique hidden gem. We’ve seen it on our previous trips through Hanalei but never stopped in to see what they had. A perfect little place for some coffee or bagels and buy some local art work that is magnificent.
