Gee, if I knew there was no picture of this restaurant I would’ve taken one. We came here to get some shaved ice as we wanted some shaved ice at least once on our visit. Never mind that right across the street was the Shaved Ice Paradise, actually we only saw the one across the street after we ordered. We got the two flavored shaved ice with macademia nut ice cream. The size of the shaved ice was bigger in size than the typical shaved ice I’ve had before. We got cherry flavor and pineapple which were both good. There didn’t seem to be much ice cream on the bottom. Overall your typical shaved ice dish.

Don’t bother on this bazaar place. Many weird men came and went, and I never quite knew who worked there. The atmosphere consisted of these men barking at dogs passing by, their wives/gfs hanging around with their crying kids and a lizard in the lamp overhead our table(it made for a good picture though). We were their only customers and our food never arrived. After 51min of waiting, I said enough and we got a refund. Don’t bother with this place. There are too many better places within walking distance.

Awful food, awful service and WAY to expensive for what you get, save your money and go somewhere else

Based upon a Unilocal review we ordered the Pulled Pork nachos to go and they were amazing. The chips were made perfectly for a nacho plate and were smothered with pork. The order was large enough for three people.

Good food! The pulled pork sandwich was good. The fries were gooooood. The pork nachos were amazing!!! Add some sriracha to the nachos makes it perfection.

We visited a new restaurant in Hanalei that just opened up in what used to be The Hanalei Café. The new place is called Samantha’s Place and is located in the Ching Young Village. We ate there twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. The Kula Pulled Pork is the best on the North Shore and both the eggs benedict and pancakes were excellent. Our servings were huge! We also bought some fresh cookies to take on our travels around the island. Samantha has really made the place inviting. It is so clean and the staff is very friendly! Open air dining with views of the waterfalls and a TV so we could watch the Olympics. There is music on Friday and Saturday nights. BYOB.
