Cheap and fast Nothing amazing but good fast food. I loved the ramen burger.

While walking down the road in Hanalei we saw they’re sign — $ 2 burgers… So we had to try them, of course! They weren’t bad! Not the greatest, but for $ 2 in Hawaii? Shoot! Pretty darn good! It’s a walk up window with outdoor seating. Nothing special, but nothing bad about it.

The ramen burger was juicy and a textural experience. I bought one for me and one for the family to try. We all thought it was a do again. The staff was very pleasant too.

We ate here a few times but the quality wasn’t always consistent. One kalua pork plate would be mostly cabbage and the next time the pork and cabbage would be equally balanced. Sometimes fatty pieces would be hiding in there but fortunately we didn’t encounter it that often. It’s a sodium-filled meal so buy water. The mac salad is pretty good and the two scoops of rice helps control the portions. Overall L&LH is okay for me to keep coming back but improving their service until then wouldn’t hurt.

Reasonably priced plates of delicious food. I ordered the bbq chicken healthy plate, which came with rice and a hearty portion of bbq chicken served next to a small salad of cucumber, tomato and iceberg lettuce. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and not over-sauced. I also ordered their bubble drink and went with the lychee flavor. It was a tad sweet, so I’ll probably opt for a different flavor next time, but it was still a refreshing drink.

Great spot to swing in for plate lunch. Prices are solid and service is quick. We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday around 1pm and while there were others eating, we didn’t need to wait long. Wife had the BBQ sampler and I had the Lau Lau and Kalua Pork plate. Her’s was overflowing with meat that was delicious, if not a little salty for my tastes. My Lau Lau was everything I was hoping for. The pork inside was tender and mild while the Kalua Pork and cabbage was done right as well, even though there was way more cabbage than pork. Overall, the price was right and the meal hit the spot. Will probably stop in again when we are on the north shore.

The BBQ wasn’t as good as the one we had at Me’s BBQ in Honolulu, but the food was prepared as you ordered and came out super fast. My father had the oxtail soup which he said was really good. My son(who loves Spam and rice) had two orders of the spam masubi. My husband had BBQ chicken, and I had chicken katsu. It’s like their version of dry fried chicken. *le sigh)(

Strangely enough, this was the most appealing(and most cost-efficient) lunch choice in Hanalei. And thankfully, the low Unilocal rating is probably due to its chain status and not the food quality. Husband and I had plate lunch(chicken teriyaki) with a couple of spam musubis for the road. Perfect post-snorkeling meal, if you ask me! Though it would’ve been smarter to pick some up some of those sweet musubis on our way *to* the beach, but you live & you learn, amirite? Well, whatever you choose to do, you can’t go wrong stopping here for a quick meal!

I guess going to an L&L in Hawaii is the equivalent of eating at Sbarro’s in NYC. I was desperate for a quick meal. Forgive me. Go to Chicken in a Barrel instead.

Had the BBQ Mix plate — beef, chicken, & short ribs. A solid meal, and great value for the price. Lots of seating and other food available at Ching Young Village Shopping Center if you’re looking for a top-up.

I was in a hurry to see the sunset, I was only in town for a day and a half on my way home from a pacific work trip, ie I was in dire need of good food… kalua pork DELIVERED. I was looking for a quick stop to take on the road and it was just the right amount of fat to add taste. And loved that it was made to order. Every bite was divine, I only wish I had more of it!

The safe bet here is the BBQ mixed plate. It was a huge portion and very moist and tasty. On the other hand, the«healthier garlic mahi mahi» was not amazing. It lacked flavor and was not prepared in a healthy manner, it was breaded and pan fried I think? The bubble drink was fun to drink… we got strawberry. It was an imitation version of a smoothie and when thirsty it works. :)

Got a BBQ chicken plate and it was delicious, and much cheaper than elsewhere in the area. I do NOT recommend getting their bubble tea, however. It was awful.

I’m surprised this place has only 3 stars rating. I was hesitant to drop by due to the 3 stars on Unilocal but my husband and I walked around to find the right restaurant. None seemed appealing so we settled for their BBQ mixed plate and omg! Why did we hesitated for. Their BBQ were perfectly marinated and was cooked just right, especially their chicken BBQ! Chicken BBQ rated 5 stars and BBQ short ribs rated 4 stars! Will come back if I’m in town again.

Years ago I couldn’t wait to get my Kalua Pig fix whenever I got to Hanalei. Then L&L took over my favorite place(I don’t remember what it used to be called) but I ate there yesterday and was bitterly disappointed! The pork was bland and tasteless and the mahi mahi burger my daughter had was equally poorly prepared. Overpriced– bad value-disinterested service. Don’t waste your vacation dollars on L&L.

Greasy. Scallop is a round piece of flesh from some other animal(grain horizontal). Woke up sick to stomach. Staff was rude. Avoid!

L&L is the place you go to and order a couple of Spam Musubi for the painful yet fun hike at Kalalau Trail. For the tourists who turn their nose up at Spam… don’t knock it until you try the Spam Musubi:) BF is as American from the mid-west as you get but even he had to begrudgingly admit he liked the Spam Musubi. L&L, thank you for being so reliable with such Ono Spam Musubi!

This is better than the L&L’s in the mainland in my opinion. The BBQ mix plate is your best value and the chicken is very tender. Maybe it just taste better because I’m in Hawaii? I tried their Ramen burger and was not a fan. The ramen was mediocre and the burger meat was very cheap and thin. Better just stick to what you know!

I am surprised too, but my meal was splendid. Seafood mix w two fried eggs, perfect!!! Super fresh mahimahi, shrimp and scallop, best tasting eggs cooked to Perfection. Simple meal that had me licking my chops for more! I didnt have high expectations, so that level of satisfaction came as a total surprise. It was only 10 $!!!+1 $ for the eggs, amazing value.
