The Maple Room is a found gastro delight in a small town in the middle of nowhere but only 3 miles off Rt 17 North. We were hungry and decided to skip the Roscoe Diner in Roscoe NY, our regular stop. Passing Hancock we saw a sign for the«newly» remodeled hotel. The hotel us beautiful inside and nicely decorated. The restaurant is spacious and you can read a few very positive reviews on the hotel on Unilocal. Being a Sunday nite we had the Place to our selves. The menu is pretty large and we settled in crab cakes, shrimp cocktail, and slow cooked pork shank oao bucco. Wow almost the best anytime or place and as Michelin might say, worth a special detour!

Ordered the meatloaf. The flavor was good but the meatloaf was tough. The biscuits were a total failure. Roni had roasted chicken. It was cooked well and tasty. The odd thing is they have two menues.
