Dickies re-visited. Since my initial review of Dickies, my experiences have been very different. Much is the same: the décor is still«BBQ Funky» and that’s fine. The service and friendliness of the staff is great, contrary to some other reviews. The prices, although they have climbed, are okay. Now– the main event — the food. I’ve been to Dickies about four times total since my original review(it’s hard to eat BBQ out when the best is at home) and each time I think the food has gone downhill. I kept thinking that it was an off day or something, but today, I think, ended our relationship. My wife and I each opted for a pulled pork sandwich. I’ve previously thought that theirs was good, but today — no way! I don’t know how the pork was cooked– I did notice bark on the edges, but it was in a plastic bag that the counter person opened to make our sandwiches. He pulled the bone out of the butt and began taking chunks of meat out and, after weighing out the portions, put the meat on our bread. I asked for some bark to be included with mine(I love the crisp spiced rubbed exterior that becomes the bark when in the smoker. Upon eating the sandwich, we both noted no flavor at all along with a mushy, no crisped bark pile of meat. Had this meat in its plastic bag been boiled to re-heat after being smoked then stored? Or was it something else that took away all flavor of the rub, the smoke, the fat, even the meat itself? I’m not sure how they managed to do meat that way, but we went away feeling let down and deceived that a business would serve such food and ask you to pay for it. I don’t think I will be back to Dickies. One star even though I noted some good. I go out for the food. There is no excuse for what we were fed today.

My family and I like the food at Dickeys, I love my option of meats and sides. And the FREE soft serve. I have been here a few times, the first time the were out ribs, which was disappointing but I had the pulled pork and brisket instead and it was good. They have a few choices of sides so with each combo we can pick something different. I personally love the onion strings. In this area there really isn’t much of an option as far as BBQ, it’s not the worlds best, but it will do, when the cravings kick in and this is the only place around. The service is always good, they work pretty fast to get the orders out quickly.

The staff is always friendly and the food is always good. The kids like to make root beer floats with the free ice cream. Great place!

Overall, too expensive for mediocre bbq and a shady team of workers. Wife commented that the beef brisket was the same quality as the frozen Jack Daniel’s $ 6 box that we occasionally pick up at Walmart. Dickie’s price: $ 13.50/lb Mac-n-cheese, as another review mentioned, is the same stuff from KFC or Velveeta. Jalapeño beans were very«meh». Customer service pretty was a huge let down. Being our first time there, we got very little help from the workers their. They looked tired and I got the impression that they were more interested in cleaning up and shu

Been here two or three times and haven’t been impressed. The menu is very confusing and hard to read. I’ve had several different things. Pulled pork and ribs. The sauce was very very sweet, Even the«spicy» kind. The sides were good. I liked the potatoes, but the ochre was greasy. Anyway. In a pinch if you want meat, it’s fast and clean if you can read the menu!

Great for a quiet table for one or pull a couple tables together for a comfortable 8 or 10? No booths, but the chairs at the tables have padded seats. Beef brisket — excellent… it comes dry with 3 heated containers(over on the condiment bar) of BBQ sauce to choose from.(Original, sweet, and spicy) Coleslaw — excellent. Not overly sweet or overly horseradish bitter. Beans– pretty good Customer service — meh. At least look in my direction when you push my food tray at me at the payment register.(You order and pick up food at the counter)

Food is fantastic The sweet tea is perfect! The Mac & Cheese is creamy. I like simplicity & when I ask for no onions, I mean it. It’s possible they’re so caught up in doing the same olé they don’t really hear it. That’s why 3 stars. Not the first it’s happened, first time I’ve complained. I will visit again.

I’m just not as impressed as others seen to be with Dickies. I can’t tell you that the food is terrible, because it isn’t. What I can tell you is that it’s OK, but I think the portion sizes are too small for the price. The entire point of BBQ is that you take tougher, cheaper cuts of meat and slow cook them, then slather in a crazy obscene amount of sauce. So basically, this is poor man’s food. BBQ sides are the kinds of food you would find at a picnic. The point I’m trying to make is that overpriced BBQ makes me very sad, when you consider the history of BBQ. My husband wanted to try the sausage and brisket. Boy did he choose wrong. He thought the brisket was dry and he seemed unimpressed with the sausage. I faired better with my selections of of pulled pork and ribs. I found myself simply wanting more, but not wanting to have to sell my first born to afford it. Ok, maybe it’s not that bad, but seriously, in my universe, BBQ equals large portions at small prices. That’s just the natural order of things. I want to mention the onion wrangler things, or whatever they were calling their version of onion rings. These things were OFFTHECHAIN(sorry, I appear to be channeling Mel B.). I loved them and could eat them every day of my life. So, for me, this was OK. It’s not bad, it’s just more than I want to pay for BBQ.

Went in yesterday and I was pretty excited to taste the food! I ordered 3 kids meals and 2 pulled pork sandwiches for me and my mom! We had baked potato casserole, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese as the sides! I must say the sides were delicious but as for the sandwich itself it was only ok, they barely put any BBQ sauce on there and I really didn’t like the raw onions and pickles I think I would have enjoyed grilled onions better. They do have extra BBQ on the side which by the way the BBQ sauce was delicious! Overall the food was ok specially for the $ 36 I payed! As for the customer service the man and girl that were there well they were no help at all, it was my first time there and I let them know that but they still did not offer any guidance or suggestions on what too order! They seem mad too be there not customer friendly at all! I might go back and try the ribs I’m not sure!

I can’t judge the full scope of what Dickey’s offers, but I was very pleased with what I did experience. We came in at 5pm to order 2 pounds of brisket and 1 pound of pulled pork. There was no line ahead of us. We ordered and they immediately began to chop up the meat. The restaurant was small but very clean and pleasant. In probably 3 minutes, we had our food and were out the door! I was very impressed. They also included a tub of BBQ sauce. The food itself was impressive. I really, really liked the pulled pork, even though I had expected the brisket to be my favorite. It worked very well with the sides we already had at home. The BBQ sauce had a gentle kick and great flavor. Their meat is the kind that makes you very happy to have leftovers!

My sister was saying that the food here was good, so, I decided to try it out. The staff was rude. Any questions that my sister or I had were met with a careless attitude and short, clipped responses, especially from Evelyn. My son’s nuggets looked over-cooked, my sister’s brisket bun was soggy, and may of our rolls seemed like they weren’t fully cooked. Def would not recommend. I won’t be going back either.

The food here is really really good, but due to the piss poor service I can only give it 4 stars. I have been here many times since they opened their doors, and I have never received a proper greeting such as ‘Welcome to Dickeys… what can I get started for you.’ Last time I was there, I had to ask my husband if I had forgotten to remove my invisibility cloak before going out to eat. I stood right there in front of the guy making the sandwiches and he totally went on talking to the girl working w/him. Anyways, the food is a solid 5 stars and that is why I keep going back,. They have deals of the day(except Sundays) and they are all $ 8.99. I posted a pic to show what each daily deal is. The deal includes 2 sides of your choosing and a BIG drink. Their pulled pork is my favorite. It has always been very tender and full of flavor. It tastes just as good, if not better, as higher end places serve. The sandwich comes standard w/pickles and onion, but I pass on those. The brisket is also very tasty, just not as good as the pulled pork. The sides are all very good, they have every thing from green beans, potato salad, mashed potatoes, macaroni n cheese, onion tanglers, fries etc. The onion tanglers are some of my favorite, but beware… they are SUPERGREASY!!! The thing I like is that they arent sitting under a heat lamp before you buy them, you place your order and they fry them up right there. They have a very nice décor, and they also have a fountain machine to serve yourself sodas, tea etc and they also have 3 pots of barbecue sauce(original, sweet, spicy) and they are kept hot. Dont forget that they also have free ice cream cones(soft serve) and kids also eat free on Sundays

It’s like a Chipotle but instead of Mexican food its BBQ. So with that said it’s good like Chipolte but clearly its not«Real» BBQ(Everything is subjective anyway). I would recommend trying it out if you don’t want to drive to Fresno for Famous Daves(I like it more, but its still meh) P.S FREEICECREAM!!! Yes you’re reading this correctly! FREEICECREAM!!! Its by the fountain drinks. You can help yourself if you buy some BBQ This I think is good business. Oh and you can order online but its a little buggy because I’ve been charged twice before and one time I was charged and the order was never made and I had to prove that I had paid which was sort of a hassle but the staff is friend about it.

This place was a mixed bag and to be quite honest, it’s 2.5 stars at best. The Pulled Pork was decent, though not the best I’ve ever had. The Chopped Beef Brisket was way, way too salty, though the meat itself was tender and well cooked. The BBQ Beans were good, the Mac & Cheese looked like it came from KFC and tasted like it was made from Velveeta(not necessarily bad, but not what I want from a restaurant), the Fried Onion Tanglers were good(albeit very salty), and the Creamy Coleslaw was exceptionally bland. I did like the spicy BBQ sauce, but the other two were«meh». I was hoping they would have a mustard based sauce, but it is supposed to be «Texas BBQ»(despite the menu items saying otherwise). I would possibly give this another chance in the future, to see if they can work out the kinks of a new restaurant(though it’s a chain and chains are supposed to be consistent). I like the Smoke Joint better and would go there first.

Good service and good quality. Speed of line went pretty good as this was the 3rd day they had been open. Was a little disappointed in their available selections(we came at 6:30pm for dinner) as they were out of brisket, chicken, ham, or today’s special pulled pork. They did offer the ribs as the special for me, this was a great thing to see that they accommodate for being out. The ribs were the right amount of smokiness and had a great flavor. The max and cheese was that of your standard BBQ joint, nothing special. Their«baked potato casserole» is essentially a loaded mashed potato. Over all our experience was good for our first time here, or at any Dickies establishment for that matter. We will definitely come back to try their other offerings that they were out of.
