Ive been going since they open I sure can’t find anything not good. I tell everyone about this place my favorite is the Hog Through its everything you want all in one plate. Keep coming up with different thing I’ll try it. Really should be a ten star place in my book.

I was told everything is «cooked to order» and I’d have to wait at least an hour and a half for any meat. Ses like a BBQ place should have some meats ready at dinnertime on Friday. Be warned to call ahead if you’re not from around here

Made it over to this wonderful BBQ dive on my way back to Northern VA. OMG pork heaven! You must get the pulled pork. It doesn’t need sauce. It’s perfectly spiced. Other highlights include the meaty chili, homemade mac n cheese, and fried cornbread balls. Outside of Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse… This is some of the best you’ll find on the East coast. Mmm

Had the brisket sandwinch. It was delicious the brisket melted in you mouth, the sandwich was large enough I really didnt need the sides. It is nice sitting outside on a nice day. I will be back to try the other meats.(Paul pork and chicken plus pit beef and turkey)

My husband and I were at a festival in Pennsylvania and read rave reviews about 3 Hogs BBQ so decided to check it out. We ordered the pulled pork loaded waffle fries as an appetizer, they were amazing! The pulled pork was juicy and the waffle fries were perfectly seasoned and remained crispy. For our main entrees, I ordered the brisket mac n cheese grilled cheese with a side of deep fried cornbread balls. My husband ordered a sandwhich so huge it could have fed a family of 4(I forgot the name) with a side of their mac n cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection, portions were generous, and everything was reasonably priced. Family friendly environment with friendly staff. It was well worth the 1 ½ hr wait. If we are ever in the area we would definatley go back.

First timer, pit beef was very good but the fries were terribly over salted. Also, it took a really long time so if you’re in a hurry this isn’t the place to go. However, if you have the time to spare it’s worth going especially if you’re not from the area because the locals are really colorful characters.

This small BBQ stand is easy to miss! It is located in the back of a parking lot in amongst some other buildings. Not being from the area, it was difficult to find. However, it was well worth the effort I expended to find 3 Hogs BBQ :) I enjoyed a brisket sandwich with the«burnt tips mac & cheese» as my side. The sandwich, side, and a bottle of water was $ 9.54 which is in line with other BBQ joints I have visited. The sandwich was average size and the roll was good and fresh. The brisket was marbled nicely and very tender. The size of my side was a little larger than I expected and very good. The burnt tips mac & cheese is mac & cheese with the left over brisket burnt ends sliced and added to the mac & cheese. This is an excellent combination! Don’t miss this side if it is on the menu that day. There are about a dozen BBQ sauces available. You’ll find something you like. They range from hot and spicy to sweet. The brisket is good without a sauce if you decide you want to be plain :) My only negative is the size and condition of the«dining» area. This is truly a BBQ stand style dining room. Everything is clean but it’s not the fanciest dining area. Also dress warm in the winter, it was on the cooler side in the dining area. In spite of my one negative, I will return to try the chicken, the pork, the ham, and have a bowl of chili. I’m looking forward to the next time I am in Hanover! Great job 3 Hogs BBQ :)

Went to 3 Hogs with family that lives in the area yesterday. WOW, amazing bbq food AND excellent customer service! The gentleman that took our order(didn’t get his name) was very knowledgeable on their menu, helped us make decisions on what to get, and had patience as we changed our order to not have duplicates(there were seven of us). All the food came out as ordered, was hot and the presentation was great. We inquired about a catering order for New Years Eve(it was that delicious). One of the managers came over and helped us make selections based on the number of people at the party. I can’t say enough good things about 3 Hogs. We will definitely come back when we are in the Hanover area. Thank you for a phenomenal dinner!!!

This place is the kind of good you only see on TV. If you haven’t been here yet, there is singing wrong.

Shredded pit ham and turkey? ahh yeah I’ll give it a try and it was pretty good. I’ve never seen it served like this… shredded meat and then tossed in their dry rub. This means that it was definitely on the salty side so it was good that I had ordered the brussel sprouts and mac and cheese, they helped cut and cleanse the palate. The sprouts were pretty good, probably not the season for ‘em ’cause they were tiny! But, the mac and cheese was great, just the way I like it, not too creamy and not to fluffy, just cheesy goodness. The place is small, you’ll miss it if you’re not careful because it’s just an oversize barn :) but the ambiance was fun and totally said b-b-q! At each table they have all their sauces, from Carolina reds and mustards to more KC style sweet. The bad, which they can’t really help… are the flies. They were everywhere, and I mean the four of us were constantly shooing them away all meal, and that’s with a circle of citronella candles around us. I’d try them again and next time give the brisket and the pulled pork a try.

Food was great! Friendly people. I went here with two of my friends and all three of us really liked the food and staff. We rode our motorcycles from Frederick 45m, and it was not disappointing. I would really like to go back. Love the beans.

This place is good. Really good. Tasty food, relaxed atmosphere, pleasant staff. And the leftovers are good the second day, too! Seating is open air, but they have citronella candles if you need. The pulled pork egg rolls are a fantastic starter. We ordered meatloaf wrapped in bacon and mac and cheese brisket grilled cheese. Both were delicious. Definitely recommend either. The mac and cheese sides and jalapeño coleslaw were great additions to the meal. Next time I’m back in Hanover, this is a must have.

If I could give 3 Hogs 6 stars I would. I have had BBQ all over the country, the side roads of Louisiana, Memphis, NC, etc. This is some of the best that I’ve ever had. I come here so often they might have to start calling it 4 Hogs. The inside is well-heated now so in the winter months, it is plenty warm. Yes, the seating is limited but it’s a BBQ joint, what do you expect? They have added picnic tables outside under a tent so they are doing what they can to alleviate the seating situation. The specials change often. The Brisket is money. The pulled pork is absolutely delicious. The mac-n-cheese is fantastic in any form, I prefer the Burnt Ends Mac. The smoked Brussels make me crave green foods(Mom would be proud). Prices are very reasonable. I always get the 2 meat/2 side dish and it is $ 12. As a comparison, I was recently in a big BBQ joint in Virginia, I got a smaller variety platter that was not only lower in quality than 3 Hogs, it was also $ 19. No thanks, I’ll stick with my hometown BBQ joint. BYOB.

Just ate there and it was GREAT. Portions were good size and I loved the big selection of different bbq sauces. I had the 2 meat/2 sides and got the Pit Beef, Brisket, Sweet potato fries and Mac & Cheese. All food was good temperature and very tastey. Prices were reasonable. My meal was $ 12.00 and most entrees were comparable. This place is a little hard to find(kinda behind a motorcyle sales/service place) but well worth looking for

The real deal. No baked and slathered in sauce here. All the meats are great, and the smoked Brussels sprouts are insane. Sriaicha slaw rocks. Cant say anything bad about the place. Atmosphere is perfect for BBQ like this!

This place is a true hidden gem. I’ve heard a lot of reviews about this BBQ joint and decide to try it for myself. I was at a Halloween event Friday night with a couple of friends where 3 hogs was in attendance. I tried the brisket sandwich. It was near closing time so the sandwich was a little cold but still delicious. The next day for lunch we decide to go back. This time I ordered the pit beef combo with a side of Mac n cheese. It was so filling I didn’t eat it all but it was so good. The prices are very reasonable and I would definitely eat here again. As I mentioned earlier, this place is a hidden gem. If you don’t know what you’re looking for you most likely will miss it. It’s not on a Main Street. You have to drive down a gravel road. The building looks like a large shed. You can eat in or carry out like I did. It’s also BYOB.

This is the place to go for great BBQ in Hanover. The food is great and the staff is friendly. The only problem is that it’s kind of easy to miss if you’re not looking closely. It is worth the hunt though. I have had the pulled pork and the beef brisket, and both of those were excellent. The brisket Mac and cheese grilled cheese sandwich is killer. Tonight I ordered delivery for the first time. It’s awesome to have a delivery option other than pizza or Chinese. We ordered food for 5 people and it arrived in under 20 minutes. I stepped WAY outside of my food comfort zone tonight and tried the Hog Trough bowl with pulled pork. It has pulled pork, Mac and cheese, baked beans, bbq sauce, cheddar cheese and cole slaw. Sounds gross, but tastes insanely good. It is a huge portion of food thought; next time I’m ordering the kid’s size.
