Stacey they must have listened to your review. I stopped by at 4:45am today for early morning breakfast and this 24-hour restaurant had a sign on the door«Closed for cleaning». So much for being open 24 hours. Terrible customer service. Why not bring in extra staff to clean while other staff services your customers???

So, I’m always a little nervous eating at a Dennys. However, this place turned out great! The food was great, I got the cinnamon bun pancakes combo and it was awesome. The pancakes were delicious and you get the hash browns, bacon, and eggs. The eggs were closer to over easy than over medium to me(I ordered them over medium), but this is something everyone can have different opinions on. You get all this for an awesome price under 10 bucks. Mmmm… Now for the service, it was great, we had a really cool, really friendly waitress. She was on the spot with everything she could help and was real personable. The restaurant was pretty clean for a Dennys or any restaurant for that matter. It was cleaner than the almost brand new IHOP near my house. I would have given five stars but the bathrooms were pretty rough and smelled pretty bad, just not really all that clean. The wait times were getting pretty bad when we left even tough there seemed to be available tables. Overall, a great experience for me.

My husband my daughter and I went to this location today about 6:30 pm. We were one of the 3 patrons there at this time. It took a fairly long time to have a waitress come to our table. Once she came she was ok Victoria was her name. When we walked in we had a hostess cleaning up the dining area one family ahead of us. This hostess(skinny white older lady) was blowing steam off out loud saying I wish she would come out and actually manage. I gave her a funny look. I as a supervisor and someday’s a cashier I would never be like that in front a customer. This location needs a deep cleaning. I also seen a sign that a manager was suppose to visit each table. Not a single person but out waitress in our area. I would also suggest getting some ventilation in the ladies restroom it’s very muggy in there and the smell of cleaning chemicals are very over bearing and makes it difficult to breath in there. I smell chemicals and see little to no cleaning. The toilets were washed but what else? I will try one more time and update eventually.

We visited this location on 3−27−16. We waited over 10 mins before asking for a waitress. One said she would check so another 10 mins passed and I wanted to leave. My lunch partner was more patient. The same waitress finally came back to the table and said she would wait on us after pointing out the waitress who was assigned that section. The food was fine but not worth the wait.

Great service and a great breakfast. Their menu has expanded over the years and I was very happy with their new breakfast selections. I was torn between their skillets… chorizo, yum! I ended up going a different route and had the eggs with bacon and hashbrowns and pancakes. Their breakfast came out in a flash and the object of the game was turnover!

We had dinner here on Christmas day as we needed to get out of the house. I give Denny’s credit for being open. They were quite busy as many people also wanted to get out and the they were short staffed — I’ll forgive the slow service, they were trying hard. This location reminds me of a diner attached to one of the old casinos in Freemont Street in Las Vegas. Very tired, 80’s décor with well-worn, stained carpets. The food is what it is — for breakfast food it is fine, but you’re on your own outside of that.

We were here on Christmas Day this year. The place was not adequately prepared for the crowds. The place was packed, and there were not nearly enough staff for all areas of the restaurant to cover the demand. We waited 15 minutes for a table with many other parties when several tables were empty. When we ordered our food, we were told it would take 25 – 30 minutes for food due to staffing. The only good thing that came out of this is that the server was very helpful understanding our time crunch. We were dropping off friends at the airport and needed to get out quickly. We asked for all of our food in to-go containers, and the staff helped with all of that without a hitch. It’s fine to have a business open on Christmas with the understanding that people will go there. However, with the way many American families are changing their plans on Christmas to go out more during the day, businesses who choose to be open have to be prepared. It’s known that it is hard to get employees to work on Christmas, but if a business cannot be prepared for ever-increasing demand each year, don’t open!

Allow me to preface this by saying that I am a huge slut that will be back to your establishment regardless, so there is no need to drown me with coupons and other crap in a petty attempt to justify the horrors I am about to detail. Please, save us both the trouble. Now, where to start… It was a warm fall evening. Humid. Unseasonably hot. And I was hungry. So I decided in my crippling depression to take advantage of my well compensated position and abuse my disposable income to enjoy a Santa Fe skillet with tortillas from Denny’s at 3AM after a long day. Walking into Denny’s Restaurant #6955 I was promptly and courteously… ignored by the staff for several minutes until a young woman came up and asked if I was there for a to-go order. I informed her that I was, in fact, seeking a table for one. Although I did not verbalize how sad and pathetic that is, I could see it in her face, and her disgust was apparent«You here to eat in? Okay…» Once seated she took my drink order and that was the last time anything would go right. I ordered a Santa Fe skillet with tortillas. The skillet came out hot and delicious. But where were my tortillas, I wondered? No matter arguing it or pointing it out, I am accustomed to neglect and incompetence in modern America. Besides, the skillet itself was delicious. «He bring you your tortillas?» The waitress that seated me asked. «No,» I replied shortly. Within a few minutes a slender gentleman loomed over from the wall separating the tables from the kitchen area. «HEREYAGO,» he boomed in what sounded like a Forrest Gump impression. «Thank you,» I replied, accepting my pounded flour treat. Reaching into the tortillas I was nearly scalded by the sopping wet mess that greeted my fingers. Somehow these tortillas had matched the climate outside. Accepting defeat, I smashed what remained of my skillet into two of them and ate in stunned, dejected silence. Once all was said and done and I had finally, after an extended delay, received and paid my bill, I started my trek home and thought to myself«I no longer believe in the American dream». And I don’t mean any of this as a joke, comical though it may seem. Every step in this story, every sentence I have penned, is absolutely and entirely true. Because it dawned on me that despite Denny’s vast resources, despite this being one restaurant of hundreds, maybe thousands, based on the number, there was absolutely nothing to indicate that it would ever improve. No one asked me if everything was okay. No manager was apparent. No system or processes evident to record the inaccuracies and errors in service for future rectification. Instead this was normal operating procedure. Incompetence, inaccuracy, poor service, and negligence are acceptable standards at Denny’s Restaurant #6955. And this is how it is all over. I used to believe in the American dream. I used to believe in meritorious promotions and self-improvement and that the system ‘worked’ in the sense of correcting the aforementioned issues via the free market. But that’s not the case. No, what will happen is I will likely receive a brief apology, if I am lucky, and maybe some manager may have it brought to their attention, and then in a few weeks I’ll return. I’ll return to order my chicken tenders and pray they’re not under-cooked and infect me with salmonella. I’ll return to order a Diet Coke and instead receive a Dr. Pepper. I’ll return and myself or my companions will have something go wrong. And at the end of it all we will pay, and tip our customary 20%+, and nothing will change. Because this is how it is. So just short of 30 years on this planet I have been forced to confront the crushing reality that the American dream is a lie. It isn’t what you know, it’s who you know. All because of your Santa Fe skillet and tortillas. It wasn’t the service at 3:00AMEST at a Denny’s that broke it. It’s the knowledge that absolutely nothing will be done, and it won’t matter.

I was in that area with a hungry six-year-old boy at about 10:30AM, which means that a lot of restaurants weren’t yet open. Since I didn’t want straight-up fast food, Denny’s seemed like a good, economical choice. It wasn’t particularly good, and I felt ripped-off by what I paid. Although the restaurant wasn’t empty, it was far from full. There were far more unbussed dirty tables than occupied tables. The dining area is carpeted and the carpet is gross. The line area that is visible from the entry(drink station and such) seemed reasonably clean. After we were seated, I moved the ketchup/seasonings/jelly thing at our table and discovered that they don’t clean under that. We had to wait to be seated(while a server took over-the-phone orders in front of us) despite it seeming not busy. Finally we were seated at a table in a back corner and the server appeared fairly promptly. He mumbled pleasantly at us; I’m not entirely sure what he said at any given time during our visit, but he was fairly prompt with the coffee(for me) and apple juice(for the boy). Our orders were fairly un-remarkable, consisting of breakfast foods(eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, fruit). It took almost 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Given that it took that long, you would think that the bacon would be cooked fairly well; it was floppy. And we’re not talking about thick-cut bacon, either; this was barely thicker than a piece of cardstock. The hashbrowns had a few areas that were crispy, but they were mostly just warm, raw potato. The sausage links *were* cooked well, and the fruit was fresh and nice. My son ate his fruit, scrambled egg, and sausage links. Then he ate my sausage links and some hash browns, and then asked for a hamburger. We decided that would take entirely too long. The check came to just under $ 17 for coffee, apple juice, an adult two-egg breakfast(no breads or pancakes), and a child one-egg breakfast. We could have been better off at Chick-Fil-A. As a matter of fact, on our way home from Denny’s we hit the Chick-Fil-A drive through to pick up a «snack»(of 16 nuggets) for the still-hungry boy. He has asked me several times today why we went to such a slow, bad restaurant.

I really like Denny’s but I had a disappointing visit here last time. The server was very friendly and the food was okay. My main issue was the cleanliness of the restaurant, it smelled like puke :/it was hard to stay and eat my food. And I ordered the Wonder Woman special and I didn’t care for the orange sauce on the pancakes.

So I woke up at 10:15 am, and really wanted to take the family to breakfast. We hopped in the car with all intentions of going to golden corral, but when I realized it was 10:49 and breakfast was almost over. We then decided on Denny’s. When we got to Denny’s there was a pretty decent crowd of people. However the wait was only 5 minutes so I was actually impressed. We sat down ordered for the kids and the took our time checking out the menu. The waitress came and got our drinks, and everything was going well. I ordered the meat lovers omelet and a side of pancakes, and my lady love ordered one of the fantastic 4 meals(basically a bacon omelet). The kids food comes(minus the drinks), and the adult drinks were refilled. Still everything is going smooth. Meanwhile the place is filling up even more. The kids drinks and some of our food comes to the table. My ladies meal, and my omelet(minus the pancakes, which the waitress said would be coming shortly). We started eating and after 2 bites my lady goes«ummm, theres no meat in here», and theres a pile of cooked onions on my hash browns. Im like«onions in your hash browns?» Her: No, on my hash browns, literally on top of. So we explain the situation to the waitress, and she says she’ll let the manager know. At this point we have a semi impatient 2 year old, and so she chose not to replace the food because of the time it would take to replace it. Also it should’ve been correct seeing as how the waitress wrote it down, and repeated it and all. So back to eating I go, pretty much at the end of my meal when I Realize. Didn’t I order pancakes? I sure enough did didn’t I? So when the waitress comes back I reminded her, and she went right over and got them. Which means they had been sitting in that window for who knows how long. At least 20 minutes from the time my food came until the time I asked her. With a five minute courtesy, because she did say they’d be out shortly after my food came. Okay, So when we finally finished and were ready to leave. We were directed to the manager at the cash register by the waitress. We again explained our situation of how the order was wrong, and about the pile of onions. The manager explains to us that all the hash browns come like that, and that there was nothing wrong with the hash browns. Meanwhile my hash browns had no such thing, so either way someones was wrong. I pointed out to her that onions do come on them upon request but thats extra, and not typically how they are served. The true issue at hand anyway was the entrée, which didn’t have the onions it was supposed to have in it, nor did it have an meat in it. I didn’t mention that it took over 20 minutes to get 2 pancakes, and that the kids drinks were forgotten with there meals, and that we had to remind the waitress of everything every step of the way. We didn’t do that. We just didn’t want to be charged for something we didn’t order. A discount and a apology would have sufficed, but we were given excuses. In the end she removed the meal from the bill, and we paid and left. I’m pretty sure we won’t be returning to this Denny’s again. I would like to state that The waitress didn’t do a bad job. She was actually nice through the whole experience and though she had maybe a small slip up or two, she got burned by the cooks in the back not being able to keep up, and messing up orders. I can’t fault her for lack of staffing or inexperienced staff.

If you need a 24⁄7 place to eat in the area, there are virtually no other options… Denny’s it is. Having said that, you’ll probably know in advance what type of food this diner serves. For Denny’s, this location is good. The food is usually fairly quick in arriving. The servers are friendly, and seemingly very experienced at their craft. The slower staff members appear to be assigned the role of host or cashier… Be warned at checkout. All in all, I give it a four star rating instead of five only because they scrimp on condiments and including napkins, frequently giving diners cocktail napkins after the original silverware accompaniment. It’s an odd complaint, I know… but the little things count. Also because cashing out can be a challenge.

Denny’s is open 24 hours, with this said it has always been the go-to place before drinking, during drinking(for some) and the cure-all for the day after hangover. Yes, it does look like the rundown s***** place in which a bunch of poor people eat(even sleep) or even the regular neighborhood drunks(or druggies). However, DENNY’S ISAWESOME. You can’t go wrong here, ever. From their banana pecan pancake breakfast, fit fare skillet, fit slam, santa fe skillet, blueberry pancake breakfast, zesty nachos, and if you really want to be bad: smothered cheese fries. Can’t forget their amazing $ 2, $ 4, $ 6 and $ 8 Dollar menu! The best ones are $ 2 quesadilla, $ 2 stack of pancakes, $ 2 original pancake puppies sundae, $ 6 French toast breakfast, and $ 8 chicken loaded potato skillet. Fun facts on Denny’s: 1. The first Denny’s was an actual donut shop in Lakewood, California, called Danny’s donuts which then changed into a coffee shop! 2. You can get married at the Denny’s in Las Vegas, Nevada and your cake is made out of pancakes. 3. Every year they serve around two million FREE Grand Slams the Tuesday after the Super Bowl. 4. They have over 1,700 restaurants worldwide and 25 of them are in Maryland alone. **Free grand slam on your birthday! Must show ID!

Walking in on a Sunday morning I thought would be a horrible idea. It wasn’t packed at all and no line waiting for a table. So I was naturally curious as to why my family of 3 still waited 10mins to be seated. A lady said she would seat us, but there were 3 – 5 waitresses leaning against the soda fountain talking. We were seated and greeted soon after. Ordered drinks and food and then waited. The food came out, and was highly disappointed. My entrée came with 1 piece of sausage so sad and little, I wondered how much effort went into making sausage that small. My plate was cold to the touch, and my food was not even at room temperature. Our waitress must of not been trained in asking if we wanted refills because none we’re provided until we asked numerous times. Overall, between dennys being underwhelming, and the New Ihop in Jessup being just as atrocious, this area is DYING for a legitimate breakfast food restaurant. Or for these two«establishments» to get their shit together.

This place is better than IHOP if you want a good, quick, solid brunch. Even late at night. The plate was filled with good, piping hot food and the pancake platter actually looked like the pictures. The endless pancakes for $ 4 is a great deal. I might actually go there again!!! The waiter let us go up one by one to pay separately at the counter, which worked fine.

Denny’s always has a good menu and no matter the time of day, Denny’s wil have something to satisfy your craving. Menu Tip … look on the back of the menu at the $ 2, $ 4, $ 6 and $ 8 dollar meals. Better than then from the main menu. The only down-side to the Hanover Denny’s is the Hostess/Cashier stand. Everyone mans it yet no one really knows who’s in line and who’s paying. It’s always a major traffic jam.
