Be honest not my favorite place to eat didn’t like the food. However, their customer service is good and friendly

This Sonic is the friendliest fast food chain in Hanover and maybe even the east coast. We have gone several times and the staff is always very friendly and courteous. Of course this is fast diner food so don’t expect fresh, but delicious chili dogs are a yes! Oh and half prove milkshakes after 8pm are a major plus!

Like others have said, this Sonic is definitely hit or miss. On a good day, you get your food relatively quickly and it tastes like Sonic food should. A lot of times, they are SO slow and food takes forever. They also don’t change their fryer oil as often as they should, which really affects their quality. I’ll keep going, as it’s the closest one to me. I just pray each time that they won’t take 45 minutes and the tots will be fresh!

I have been here 5 or 6 times over the last couple if years. I don’t know what’s changed but we had an incredible experience today! The food was great and our carhop was very friendly… things probably could have been a bit faster but it was worth the wait! YUM

Hit or miss on quality. They like to give out the wrong orders and if you order something different from the way it comes lookout!

This Sonic location seems to be very hit-or-miss. At times we have gotten fantastic, attentive service, and completely correct orders. Other times we have gotten bad service, many screw-ups with our order, and stomach troubles to boot. We have always used carhop service, never the drive-thru or park and sit at the tables, so maybe there are some differences. Be advised(particularly if you’re vegan/vegetarian) that you’ll often find a wayward piece of fried chicken in your tater tots. It’s a fast food place, so of course it’s going to be greasy and bad for you. Normally I have an iron stomach, but more often than not, Sonic food does not agree with me(unless I stick to drinks and/or ice cream). My memory is apparently short, though, and I listen to my stupid brain saying«ooooh get the chili dog!» or «jalapeño burger!»

My wife and I love Sonic’s ice cream. We’ve visited Sonic locations throughout Central PA(including Lancaster, Reading, and Palmyra). We’ve been to the Hanover Sonic a few times before. We decided that as an «end of summer» treat we’d visit the Hanover location on Labor Day. After putting in our lunch order(which included ice cream, of course), paying with a credit card, and waiting for a few minutes, a voice from the intercom stated that the«ice cream machine was ‘down,’» and that we could have a coupon good for free ice cream on a subsequent visit. How is it that a place like this cannot serve ice cream on Labor Day? On further investigation(walking up to the kitchen to talk to someone about this) we discovered a filthy kitchen and and impolite and disorganized staff. In the end, we canceled the entire order and went to the Tropical Treat on Rt. 94, a wonderful, family-owned place where the food and ice cream was excellent.
