Don’t go during lunch the service was slow and the waitress could have been nicer unfortunately my burger was cut in half as if I was a 12-​year-​old child other than that it’s a diner what can you expect

Decent food, a little pricey for breakfast. Service is hit or miss. It has always been very clean. I have a had good service in the past, but today the waitress was at best rude. Seems like she was having a bad day. Our food came out in stages instead of all at once as it should. Table was missing silverware. This last experience will not keep me from coming back, but one more visit like this, and I will take my business elsewhere.

TERRIBLE service! We went to JJs to try it out, and we’re pleased when we walked in and the décor was nice and classic. Sign said to seat yourself so we did. The waitress walked past us 5 or 6 times and failed to greet us. Eventually I noticed some menus sitting on the bar so I grabbed a couple myself. The waitresses all continued to walk past our table and did not greet us or acknowledge us in any way. Finally I went up to the bar and asked if someone could come take our drink orders, and rudely, the waitress says «Well where are you sittin’ at?!» I told her, and she said someone would be over soon.
She came over quickly at this point but was very short with us and claimed we must have just come in because the table was empty last time she looked (we were sitting there for about 10 minutes). She continued to be snarky and rude the rest of the time we were there, which wasn’t long since we cut our losses, paid for the coffee, and left before ordering breakfast.
I’d like to note that it was NOT busy, and I had locked eyes with multiple waitresses while we sat there waiting to be greeted.

The place was nice and tidy.
Was not busy at all and food came out jn a timely manner. I ordered the western omelette, the peppers and ham and all other things were burnt; but surprisingly it wasnt bad. Will come

Customer service was fantastic! Hand-​pressed, real beef, burger was absolutely delicious!

JJ’s Diner in New Orleans has friendly staff, good service and fantastic food.
The food is a mix of traditional American diner food and traditional Cajun food.
The meals are made fresh (for example the catfish is is fresh then cooked not frozen and the roast beef is fresh for very good Po Boy sandwiches)

Always clean, nice staff. Not pricy. Just good quick lunch.
I don’t stop often, every few months but always the same.
Clean, quick, polite.

Complete menu for lunch and breakfast. Wait staff was very nice. Great diner atmosphere for breakfast. Omelettes were a bit greasy. Fries were not very crispy. The milk shake was real good. Hamburger was nothing special.

Went into JJ’s about 10:30am. Ordered the western omelette with a biscuit and gravy on the side.
Biscuit and gravy came out first. Both were nuked in the microwave. Gravy had a film along the rim of the cup. Gravy was cold in the middle and hot on the outside. Biscuit was served already cut in half. Both top and bottom of the biscuit were soft and moist. The middle was super hot but once the biscuit cooled down to room temp, it became hard and dry.
The western omelette was average at best. Nothing too special.
The food came out fast and the service was good. I would not recommend this diner to any of my friends or any Unilocalers out there looking for a good diner.

BLUF: I love diners. This one looks like a diner out of the 50s but the food was pretty average. I’d go back but not if there was another diner anywhere close.
Service was really really good. The guy behind the counter comes out to you but you still have a waitress.
Menu is average sized with standard diner foods and breakfast all day. I got the eggs over medium, hashbrowns and corned beef hash. The eggs and hashbrowns were standard (good but not crazy good). The corned beef hash was not very good and most likely from a can. I wish I had gotten biscuits and gravy or country fried steak. My meal was not good enough to get me to come back on purpose.
They do have a burger/​milkshake meal that looked pretty good but also pretty standard.

The little old lady who serves there needs to chill. It’s just bacon and eggs. Also, if I don’t finish my plate, don’t hassle me about it. I’m still paying for it.
Still love the convenience of this place though. Simple and easy.

I was told that the people that used to run Websters on Clearview are here now. Went on a whim and was pleasantly surprised.

Pretty standard diner atmosphere, although smelled a lot like people were smoking when we walked in. We were able to sit in a booth right away and the menus are right on the table. Within a minute we were approached and greeted by a very nice woman asking what we would like to drink. Our drinks came quickly and because we wanted breakfast we already knew what we wanted to order. In a timely manner, our food arrived just as we wanted! The French toast was good, the bacon was great and my eggs were perfectly cooked. We were tended to the entire time and the woman even complimented my on my makeup. My only real complaints about this place were the smoke smell and it was really cold! (Which I’m sure helps on super hot days!) I would go back!

Great diner food with friendly service. Had a basic breakfast that was served quickly and we really enjoyed. Will be back.

My brother and i are real foodies and have been traveling and we had breakfast here this morning and it was awesome. Fresh the right size portions and pricing was really well and we had nice service. We will go back again. We ordered French toast w/​sausage links and scrambled eggs and a biscuit with sausage and gravy, reminded us of our late grandma’s cooking, really good and fresh.

Excellent food! the best pancakes and waffles we’ve had in a while. Away from the French quarter. Worth the drive and very affordable. Diner with the flair of the old diners. Our waitress was friendly and service was quick. Will be back again. Thanks

Pretty good. Owned by the folks who ran Webster’s on Clearview. I had the Big Breakfast, eggs, bacon, sausage links, pancakes, slices of toast, 2 ea. plus your choice of grits or hash browns. My food came out quick and as I ordered. The link sausage was particularly good.

I stopped by for some 6pm breakfast food. It was perfectly acceptable, and cost very little. The service was nice, and some of the employees were eating food cooked there, which is always a good sign. I see no reason not to come back.

The service was good and I love the décor, classic diner setup etc. Sadly this place is let down by the food, which is pretty meh. The «dinner salad» is just a plate of lettuce with a sliced tomato on top and the «rice and gravy» is a bowl of undercooked rice in some watery gravy. Not sure what I was expecting there.
The price is right for the food you’re getting though, as it is relatively inexpensive. Go in with low expectations and you should be fairly well satisfied.
