The only thing that was good here was the server’s personality. Everything else was depressing. Apparently, food times do not exist here. It took 30mins to make scrambled eggs, pancakes and a omelet. My pancakes were like cardboard and I needed a knife to cut into them. They put a bottle of liquid butter next to me for the pancakes. My girlfriend’s omelet was filled with hard diced meat that looked like bacon bits for salads. For the quality, you pay way too much. We couldn’t wait to leave. This place truly… sucked.

We ate here 2 mornings in a row during our stay in Metaire and I wish I could eat there every morning! It is a quaint little diner and it almost looks dirty on the outside but that’s actually just part of the charm. The food is excellent, the portions are generous, and the price is almost too good to be true for the amount of food you receive. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We live right near this location and we love Dot’s just not dot’s on Airline! Once we ordered the grilled cheese for the kids and patty melt for my husband and I. WoW
Can you say salty and greasy I could fill my arteries fill up. It was absolutely disgusting all four plates!!! That was $$ down the drain! Not one plate was finished.
Recently I ordered a chicken salad from here and it was amazing. Way good to my surprise. But still not enough to make me order other things here !!

called in to make a breakfast order, inquired about the selections on the menu, the associate stated, «is this all, I have a counter full of people». As a customer, I have never witnessed this type of customer service and our company eats at this location on a regular. I can guarantee you that we will not be visiting this location here again.

I have tried the other locations adn was always left out in the cold.
But here, the food is AWESOME the help charming and attentive and the crowd, ecclectic and quirky.
Make a point of stoping here for breakfast, you’ll be glad you did.

Getting my bike serviced at the shop, had three hours to kill. Stopped by for some lunch. Felt very welcome walking in, very attentive staff. Had a tasty club sandwich. When I’m feeling more adventurous, I’m going back for the twelve bacon slice BLT.

Sometimes you just want the simple things in life. Not all of the hype but again just simple. Decided to look for a local dive and get breakfast. We had already had breakfast at other places but often you want to try something that’s feels like home. Small venue but they are fast. Southern atmosphere and very attentive. May have to wait for a seat but it was worth it. Given them a try

Typical greasy spoon — emphasis on greasy. Large portions, helpful staff, friendly atmosphere. I saw nothing «special» on the menu, but all the plates I saw coming out to other tables looked good. My omelette, hash browns and toast hit the spot. Staff seems to know the customers by name.

Great little place that serves up plenty of food! Breakfast (all day), lunch or dinner! Be prepared because while most are open 24 hours some are not. The shrimp po-​boy is overflowing with fried shrimp! The breakfasts are more than enough food to get you started in the day, or satisfy your craving at night! I’ve yet to have something there I didn’t like!

I went here last year (2011), and at first I didn’t feel to comfortable walking in. It was really small and everyone seemed to be regulars, everyone kinda turned around and peered to see who was walking thru the door. The bathrooms are pretty small too (my son came along). BUT the staff was really friendly and the food was awesome. I had gotten a cajun typa omelet it had crawfish and other stuff and it was great. The price was great too, I had used a groupon, but even if I hadn’t it still would have been a great deal. I felt cramped because the establishment is beyond small, but I would go back for sure.

Went there to use a Groupon coupon… Being from Jersey, I have a soft spot for the old-​school style of diners that Dots Diner is.
There was one guy working the entire diner. He was more cordial, patient, and attentive than most waiters and waitresses I’ve come across maybe ever!
We ordered grilled catfish and an egg sandwich. DEEELISH!!!
The amount of food was just right and was super inexpensive to boot!

One of things I miss most about living in Louisiana was the sheer simplicity of going over to Dot’s for dinner. Mama B always had me taken care of and it convenient that Zephyr’s was across the street where my boyfriend was working.
Yes it’s your basic diner food, yes it’s small, yes it can be a little slow but it was absolutely perfect if anyone understands what I mean. How simple the little things can be.
Overall a decent and friendly place to grab a meal. There’s a bar next door so it can get busy at nights.

We went here because it’s in our neighborhood. It was just a greasy diner breakfast… not much else than that. The staff were nice, surprised that we didn’t know how it worked (that you give your order at the counter, they don’t come to your table). The coffee was not great though… I probably wouldn’t go back even though it was cheap, cheap, cheap.
