They have HUGE cockroaches here everywhere! Also it smells very funky, especially outside by the food truck, it smells like bathroom. Just standing in line I saw like 4 huge cockroaches and then another on when I was eating by my car crawling on the walls of the restaurant. When they first started out as Tacos El Gallito the tacos were BOMB! They had tomato as a condiment as well, but now even the sauces taste a bit different not as spicy. I believe it was not good for them to become a chain of restaurants because now they are not really paying attention to the quality of their foods. They need to be more clean by the food truck and constantly clean with hot water and soap so it won’t smell like sewer. I definitely do not want to come back to this specific establishment.

This place used to be ok. Now they really suck. No flavor in their meat and everything tastes bland. Disappointing for me, being that I grew up in Harbor City and knew how good they used to be.

This is the closest restaurant to my place but it took us nearly a year to try it. Glad it was a hit. My husband loved his steak burrito. I thought maybe it would be too dry but he said it was perfect for $ 6. I had 2 veggie tacos without cheese or sour cream and it was still delicious. I wish they had chunky tomato salsa though. I loved the beans they had near the condiments. Too bad someone scraped all the cilantro just before I got there and I really didn’t want to wait until they brought out more. So for $ 9 total for both of us our bellies were full and content.

Reminds me of King Taco, but better imo. It is located near their famous food truck, in a plaza on pch. You stand in line, place your order, and they call out your number when it’s ready. The turnaround on the food is pretty quick. They have a salsa bar to load up your tacos with. They also have ample seating. As for the food, my hubby and I ordered a couple carne asada tacos and nachos with everything. The tacos were good, but I loved the nachos more. Overall, it is a great, no frills, place to grab a couple tacos and be on your way.

I went for the first time last night and was disappointed. There was a lot of people so I thought maybe it was worth it. The tortillas are undercooked. The Asada is try and the lengua isn’t tender. I ordered 8 lengua 4 trips and 4 Asada and got home to find 8 lengua and 8 Asada. The place was pretty clean and the salsa was pretty good but thats all they got going for them.

Loved it! I can’t remember why, as I wrote this review years ago and didn’t save it — but I wrote I loved it. so there you go. it was good then.

Sound the truth siren… it’s about to get real in here. This is not a five star locale… but when you NEED tacos(arguably the least delicious of their offerings) at 2am, this place is a twelve-star paradise! The burritos and tortas are the best things to get; generous portions, and made with the idea that a human being will eat them. Not so with the quesadillas and mulitas; those are for pigs in human clothing who don’t mind a grease bath with dinner. As for the tacos… meh. I’m not fond of their tortillas. Just average. Drinks are great. Love their horchata and jamaica, as well as their champurrado. again, this is not the best place in the world, until everything else is closed, then it is!

I guess this place started out as a food truck, because A LOT of the reviews are about«the truck». My review is about«the restaurant». My best friend was telling me this is his favorite place for tacos, so a few days ago I decided to stop in as I was driving by. PARKING: Plenty in the private(shared?) lot. SERVICE: You order and pay at the counter, then pick up your order at the counter when they call your number. Staff was nice enough. If you want any conversation beyond what’s on the menu, you had better speak Spanish, just sayin’. The dining room is large enough for 100 peeps, but pretty stark /plain. They had a TV with something on, plus ranchera/corrieos music playing fairly loud. Much louder than«background» music, but fortunately it wasn’t so loud it was unbearable. FOOD: I ordered 4 tacos — 1 pollo(chicken), 1 carne asada(beef) &2 carnitas(pork) at $ 1.50 each. They’re small and served with only the tortilla and meat, but very tasty.
There is self-serve salsa bar to doctor them up to your hearts content: 2 salsas(mild /spicy), guacamole, onion, cilantro, radish, etc. There are plenty of bag and small cups if you dine in or take it to go. I guess those 4 little tacos weren’t enough quite, because I then ordered a quesadilla with carnitas($ 6) to go. Plain cheese jack here? Nope, these come with a meat of your choice for that same $ 6 price! Since I really like pork, I ordered it with carnitas. I later discovered this was a mistake. Just the process of unwrapping the foil, completely coated my digits with grease! It was SO greasy! Later when eating it, the rendered pork fat oozed out and had a somewhat unpleasant flavor. The pork taco was great, but they must have scooped from the bottom of the container, oil and all, for my quesadilla. If I try another, it will be beef or chicken instead. EDIT: I went back yesterday and bought 1 pork and 1 chicken tamale($ 2 ea). The chicken had a very nice flavor but was not as moist as the pork. The pork tamale was moist, had really great flavor and was absolutely delicious! OVERALL: Don’t expect nice ambiance or great service, because you won’t find it here. If you want some really great(authentic) tacos or burritos at reasonable prices, this is definitely the place to go. In spite of the oily quesadilla, I’ve giving 4 stars.

I first found Tacos Super Gallito at the Anaheim location. This is the same food, but a bigger restaurant. Yes, it is a hole in the wall. The pastor is delicious. The red salsa is smoky and flavorful. You can get four tacos for $ 6.

I personally love the huge burritos and quesadillas, but those run closer to $ 5 each; a great deal is the tacos for $ 1.50 each. You can expect there to be quite a wait, although it’s only bc there are so many people who love the food too! I wish you could call your order in advance, but it is still worth the wait! Tip: they will give you free grilled jalapeños AND grilled onions, behind the counter, upon request

I’ve now been here numerous times and I can say that this place is legit! Staff is nice and your meal comes out fast. When you first walk in, the choices are simple. Tacos, burritos and quesadillas are my favorites. The meals or made to order and very fresh. The food is awesome, but what blew me away is the condiment bar. 3 different kinds of salsa, radishes, cilantro, onions, limes and even refried beans are what you can choose from at this bar. Choose one or choose them all. It’s self serve. You can also ask the cooks for a roasted onion and jalapeño peppers. They’re also included in the meal. This location has a truck located outside in the parking lot too for the overflow from the dine in area. Stop by Tacos El Gallito. You won’t be disappointed.

I would have honestly given this place 5 stars, but the floor had trash on it, and the lights in the bathroom weren’t working. Parking outside is limited, about 15 spaces in total. That sounds like a lot, but this place was jam packed, and we came at around 1:45pm! I got a veggie taco(two actually), and they were both delicious. It consisted of a small tortilla shell(soft taco), rice, onions, cheese(mozzarella?), and cilantro. They were also extremely cheap– $ 1.50 for each taco, and you could get your own salsa/toppings at the topping bar as well! Overall really enjoyed it here, the food was great and the service was efficient. I just wished the lights in the bathroom worked, and the floor wasn’t so dirty so I could’ve given it 5 stars!

YUMMMM. Definitely my go to spot when I’m craving tacos. This place is super casual, quick, and convenient! They offer a variety of things — tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, etc. I’ve probably tried about half their menu and it’s seriously all delicious. Tacos come plain(just meat and tortillas), but there’s a little salsa bar off to the side where you can add salsa, onions, cilantro, etc. You can make your tacos however you like! :) If you’re going to get a burrito — definitely more bang for your buck, as those things are huge compared to the tacos — then i’d say get a wet burrito. I think it’s only $ 1 — $ 1.50 more, but they add lettuce, cheese, sour cream, avocado, and drench the burrito in either red or green sauce — your choice. It just adds way more flavor than the normal, dry burrito. Be careful with the container though, because sometimes they put a little too much sauce in there and it starts leaking. There’s the taco truck outside in the parking lot, but I prefer going to the actual physical location since I can take a seat and grab as many refills of horchata, jamaica, or soda as I want. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area!

Solid joint for semi-legit Mexican food if you are in the area. This place is like a bootleg la taco spot. I would call it the king taco of harbor city… sorry king taco lovers. I’ve had their burritos and tacos. Pretty authentic… The flavors are there but it’s a definite chain restaurant. I appreciate the flavor of their salsa but it’s super processed. Also their rice is super bright orange… Like they def add some artificial coloring to it. Interesting and pointless trademark of theirs… Wouldn’t recommend this place unless you are in the area and don’t want to drive to Lennox or LA for better tacos.

one of the few good places in the area to get tacos! especially late at night. I really like that there’s a truck and a restaurant because if the line for one line is too long, you can go to the other one! I do like going to the truck since the food is a lot more fresh. but since the weathers been cold, I don’t want to stand outside and I don’t want to eat in my car and have my car smell like tacos and onions. technically you can order from the truck and sit inside the restaurant, but might as well order from the restaurant if you’re gonna sit inside. The food comes out pretty fast too! I always get tripa and asada whenever I come. But if you get the tripa, make sure you ask for it crispy! and make sure it’s the first tacos that you eat before eating the other ones bc if you save it for the end, it’ll be too crispy to eat and get hard. I always try to save the best for last, but this case, you gotta eat it first! the asada is good too, I just get it to fill myself up. The lengua is mediocre. I’ve tried better lengua at other places. The throat is actually not that bad. I’ve never tried it anywhere so I can’t really compare it to anything but it’s good! My friend loves their chorizo so I’d give that a try. tacos come with just the meat and tortilla and you add cilantro/onions/salsa/etc. on the side cart. burritos come with the cilantro/onion mix and rice. when you get your food, don’t forget to ask for the grilled/boiled onion on the side! so good. also you can ask for a small cup to scoop some beans(located by the condiments) in there too

First time here: On the wet burrito tip: Chicken wet burritos(super good) Tortilla chips(of course) Let me just say, I saw the truck outside the restaurant. We bypassed because of the cold weather. The line was soooo long with only two registers. If you want a container for the beans, you needed to pay for it(before it was free). Otherwise, they have a salsa cart with free mini containers/caps. The line is consistent for a Sunday night. This is a comeback spot.

I’m no taco expert by any stretch, but I know when a taco makes me happy! Tacos El Gallito makes me happy! There’s a taco trailer located outside of the restaurant for quick service walk-ups and the full restaurant just steps away. To give a fair review, we ordered Pastor, Asada, and Carnitas tacos, Pastor quesadilla, and an Asada burrito. All were delicious! I really enjoyed the quesadilla, it was filled with meat and cheesy goodness! I think we just found our new late night taco run place!

This place was originally a truck brand but in the last year or two opened up an actual dine in space. They have really good tacos and give a good portion of meat. They’ve also got a wide variety of meats you can choose from as well. Tacos come served on tortilla and you add the condiments yourself. They have different food items like burritos, tortas, sopes and nachos. The best part about this place is that it stays open really late. This place is ideal after a night out but I come here whenever I’m craving tacos. Also, they take card which a lot of taco places don’t do. They have a pretty large parking lot for a taco place but if it’s late, you’ll find this place packed. They’ve still got their original truck outside where you can still make orders but now you’ve got the dine in option as well.

My second fave taco place in torrance/south bay area. This truck is also a restaurant now! I’ve never been inside the restaurant so I guess this review is mainly for the truck. Super nice guys working in there :) But man… The food takes awhile sometimes. I would say that the wait is worth it but sometimes that’s not the case. But all in all, The tacos are bomb! I’m bae-sic so I get the carne asada usually. Last time, though, I also tried their al pastor. Not the best I’ve had for sure. STILL the carne asada makes me happy. I like their burritos! If you don’t like beans, then let them know. I love beans so no prob for me. It’s not 24⁄7 like taco sinaloa(my fave) but it’s open til late night hours and it’s on the way to the 110 so hey… Hi. * make sure you get enough onions, cilantro, and sauces because they don’t put any in the actual tacos

Bombdiggity! Why would I give a taco joint five stars? Are the tacos that great? Actually, they are above average but that’s not why. Finding a place that’s open late in the South Bay is very hard. Finding a place that is open late and affordable is even harder. This place has both! Located just down the street from Kaiser on Pacific Coast Highway is this taco joint AND taco truck. They’re open until two or three in the morning and the food starts at a $ 1.50 for most tacos, and they have burritos and other items for those with larger appetites. They serve it to you street style, which are smaller sized corn tortillas filled with meats. You then go to the salsa bar and add your condiments, ranging from cilantro, onions, radish, and various sauces. On the side table next to the beverages is a huge hot pot filled with pinto beans. There wasn’t a sign that said it cost extra, so I added some to my plate. It’s slow cooked pinto beans with jalapeños dropped in for a flavorful kick, yet not overly spicy. In addition, the beverage bar is self serve, and it’s one price($ 2.75) for a large 32 ounce drink where you can choose from a variety of Coca-Cola products or Agua Fresca like horchata or jamaica. The drink was seriously huge, I didn’t even finish it! The place is well lit, clean, and when we walked in at close to 10:30 at night, they were mopping the floors and wiping down the tables. Even the ladies bathrooms were in excellent condition. Plenty of parking in the front, and if you don’t want to walk inside, there is the taco truck which you can take food to go.
