The best hole in the wall teriyaki spot in the South Bay. Huge portions for a reasonable price. Worth the drive!

This place is most notably know for its teriyaki bowls. The restaurant itself is nothing much to look at with a corner kitchen area and booth seating in the remaining areas of the restaurant. They’ll have a few old school arcade games sitting around. The plating comes in two sizes, the individual bowl and their plate. Their plates include rice, choice of meat, and sides while the bowl is rice and choice of meat. Pricing was fair as a bowl was roughly $ 6 and a plate is roughly $ 8 not including tax. I ordered their chicken teriyaki bowl. Chicken was cooked right and covered with sauce. Nothing too much to complain about.

I stopped by Three Brothers with my friend. He has a sweet tooth and loves teriyaki, but decided to get a burger instead. I asked the woman at the cashier for recommendations and she mentioned their teriyaki was the most popular dish. I am very sensitive to overly sweet and salty food, but I decided to give their teriyaki chicken bowl a try. BADIDEA. The chicken was drowned in a thick, sickeningly sweet, disgustingly salty sauce. I gave some to my friend to try, since he loves teriyaki. It was too sweet even for a person who drowns their waffles in ice cream and a river of maple syrup. I choked down a third of my meal, packed it up, and left. Upon leaving, every table I passed(at least three) all had orders of teriyaki. Do their customers know what they are eating? What they are possibly allowing their children to ingest? Besides being overwhelmingly unhealthy, how can the sauce be appetizing to your palate? Not wanting my meal to go to waste, I wanted to try it again for dinner. Maybe it would taste better with a higher rice to SALT ratio, I thought. Wrong again. Like reviewer Amber L. from San Pedro, I encountered a gross gelatinous coating on my chicken. I heated the plate over and over again to possibly melt the sauce, but to no avail. Like Amber, I had never experienced teriyaki sauce that cooled into a gel. Please do yourself, your family, and your friends a favor; do not promote the consumption of this«food.»

Great hamburgers and teriyaki plate. My son and I enjoy their food it’s quick fast and inexpensive. Not a big fan of their french fries, what a huge fan of their teriyaki chicken and beef which is their specialty. I also highly recommend the Chinese chicken salad instead of getting rice. If you’re in the area I would highly recommend giving them a try for some great teriyaki.

I hate seeing negativity on Unilocal because I know how harmful it can be to a business so you know I must feel pretty strongly to post this review. If you would have asked me a few years ago, I would have given this place 5 stars but it has went downhill in a terrible way. Both my girlfriend and I are now sick after eating their teriyaki plates yesterday. Pros: Portion Cons: Food. Service. Everything else. Even if you can stomach the gut wrenching smell of CAT/CAT FOOD at the counter enough to at least order your food, you will surely be disappointed with what you get. They must have changed their meat supplier or something because both their chicken and beef quality have dramtically decreased. The chicken worse than the beef– no more white meat or quality chicken period… you will be chewing your way through cartilage, veins, hard pieces etc… your entire meal. Macaroni salad: WHATHAPPENED!!! People used to talk about how good it was from here, now we couldn’t even finish 1 scoop!!! Bland and tasteless now. Ughhhhh. Sauce: Ok, I LOVESALT. People say I put way too much salt in my food. I could not even stomach their teriyaki sauce. You literarily are eating a spoonful of salt/MSG with every bite of your food. Sauce is super important to any teriyaki place and now you can’t even enjoy it because they’ve made it is so bitter/sour. Service: It took us 45 mins to get our TAKEOUT order of 2 basic teriyaki plates. While we were ordering the lady(possibly owner?) was acting impatient and not listening to us at all and needless to say, she messed up our order. She then proceeded to take back the food and charge us $ 1.50 difference to correct her mistake(we have no problem paying the difference but after all the trouble, she probably should have just corrected it for free). When our correct order came out a grand total of 45 minutes later, she didn’t say anything to us, just set the box on the counter. Not a sorry for the wait, kiss my ass… nothing. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me. Side note: they only had one VERYVERY young looking kid cooking and they were decently busy. horrible business ethics for their customers and that poor kid working his ass off alone! I really hope the owner’s make a change… I really used to love coming here!

Really decent teriyaki bowls — you can ask for skinless, white meat chicken if you’re on a health kick — or get the super tasty dark meat chicken. Great beef bowls, too. Large portions, quite affordable. Not the best place to try to hit up as the high school down the block lets out of classes, but plenty of parking and all us locals eat here. Great burgers and fries, too. Recommended!

Great teriyaki bowl! The lady who take your order is really nice. Place is a tuned down but good enough to eat at during lunch time. Not a place I would take a date.

Don’t ever eat there! We found a silver fish in our macaroni salad, I was so infuriated I drove back to the restaurant to show the owner. She had had the nerve to quickly crab the silver fish and dissolve it with her fingers and then said it was nothing.

Parking is easy, the chicken teri is A-1! I’ve always wanted to try something else, but can’t resist the teri chicken. This is why 3 stars. Haven’t tried anything else.

I was on my Unilocal app looking for a restaurant that had Chinese chicken salad. Finally, I came across this place and decided to stop in. When I walked in, I was greeted by a nice Asian woman. I told her that I wanted the Chinese chicken salad and she asked what size. They have a small and large, but there’s not much difference in price, so you might as well get the large. After I ordered, I happened to have looked over and saw a grill full of delicious smelling teriyaki chicken all nice and blackened and calling to me. I asked what plate does that come on and she told me the deluxe teriyaki plate, which comes with a side Chinese chicken salad. I added that to my order, so I could eat it later on. She asked if I’d been there before and I told her no, that I’d found them on Unilocal. She seemed pleased with that and continued providing me with good customer service. I liked that customer service was good from the beginning and didn’t change because I mentioned Unilocal. When I got back in the car, I took a bite of the teriyaki chicken. It was absolutely delicious! It had plenty of teriyaki sauce on it, just how I like it. I got an extra side container of teriyaki sauce, just in case. The plate was piping hot, with the chicken resting on a bed of white rice. So why the two stars, you may ask… well, I didn’t eat this plate right away. I took a couple bites and went to workout, ran a few errands then I went home. As expected, when I got home, my plate needed a little warmth, so I put it in the microwave to heat up. I then grabbed the little extra container of teriyaki sauce and poured it over my chicken. Well, it didn’t pour. Yes, you read that right… it DIDNOT pour. It was jelly. Yes, you read right, too! It turned into a gel! Never in my life have I gotten a side of teriyaki sauce and it turned to gel, even if you put it in the fridge! When I heated my plate, the sauce on the plate seemed okay, but I was so grossed out that I couldn’t even enjoy it, so I barely ate it. I put the little extra sauce container in the microwave on 30 seconds to see if it would melt… well guess what! It didn’t! It did however get a little soft like chunky gravy, but it was never smooth like pouring teriyaki sauce out of a bottle. I tried stirring it up and it was worse. You know that when you put any sauce in the microwave, it’s clearly liquid and gets really hot. It’s a bit troublesome when you get one that doesn’t. Makes you wonder what the hell is in it! Again GROSS! No wonder they had the sauce in a big pot on the stove and it was piping hot! They know they can’t let it cool!

The place is alright BUT not that great. I had the Teriyaki bowl. Just okay. I should have gone to TOKYOGRILL just south down Western ave @ Palos Verdes Drive north. Amazing Teriyaki Sauce.

I’m giving this place 3 stars because of the mac salad //it’s officially my 2nd fave mac salad after the Loft(of whom which I compare every potato/mac salad to) — the price is good for the ginormous amount of food I received — I ordered the chicken teri plate — with the mac salad and cole slaw //the chicken teri was flavorful enough but I personally am not a fan of THICK teri sauce — and the slaw was just ok… again tons of food for the amount of money I paid I ordered«to go» — because I was on my way home after a 12 hour day at work — so glad that I made that decision because the place is totally a dump inside //seriously outdated… but then again I was there for the food not the actual décor itself

This hole in the wall is a great go-to for the cha siu fried rice and zucchini sticks. My boyfriend’s family has been coming to this place for 10+ years and are basically friends of the restaurant’s owner. The restaurant serves a mixture of American fast food such as burgers and fries as well as oriental dishes such as saimin and teriyaki plates. The usual dishes that we order are the cha siu fried rice and zucchini sticks. All of the portions are enormous to the point that if I were to consume these plates by myself, I would have to consume four meals to finish up the plate. The fried rice has heaping chunks of cha siu and pleasantly flavored rice. We usually get a side of sunny side up egg to break into the rice. As for the zucchini sticks, the breading is to die for and the portion consists of two large zucchinis. The plus side of it all, it’s an average of $ 6-$ 8 per plate. What more can you ask for?

Well over all i cant say i would go back here, if i had a choice. to start the place seemed really dirty. when we sat down the booth we chose had lots of food on it, and when my boy made the seat move over, some very old looking food was in the corners. so not very clean. then someone, who i think may work there because he had access to the back area, was bringing small live turtles out of the kitchen area and putting them into a tank near the front window. this in general does not seem clean or something i want to see at a place i eat. then the staff who served us were not, how can i put this, happy, or pleasant. not once do i remember a smile, or any kind of friendly feel to them. then this guy who was in a wheelchair sitting near the front watching the TV they had, was kind of weird and always looking at us. it was really a weird experience. so now for the food. from what i remember, it was ok. nothing great. we ordered some fries, kids grilled cheese sandwich, and a shake. food came out on a cheap paper plate thing, seemed cooked, fries were ok. shake was ok. nothing to write home about really. But it was pretty cheap costing. A lot would need to change for me to want to go back here. im only giving them two stars becasue the food seemed ok. time for you guys to clean up the place and put a smile on your face.

Last time I came here my family ordered the Chinese chicken salad, sweet & sour chicken/teriyaki beef dinner with french fries and coleslaw. I really like the dressing for the salad and the coleslaw. The teriyaki sauce was good, but the beef can be a bit chewy. So I suggest to get it with chicken. I saw that someone had the fried zucchini. They were really large. Imagine one cut the long ways in 4 pieces. They even have burgers, seafood plates, smoothies, and shaved ice. P. S. The place totally needs a décor renovation. So order your food to go if it bothers you.

I don’t know who proclaimed this place is the best but the teriyaki left alot to be desired. The first thing that stood out to me was the poor customer service. The people behind the counter were really short and unfriendly. I was asking if they had a beef and chicken bowl but I had to get the plate instead. I just settled on the beef bowl. The first thing I noticed was how much rice there was to meat. It’s deceiving cause they put the meat so where it seems as if its bursting out the bowl, but thats only because they fill the bowl to the top with rice first. The beef was poor quality because it was so chewy. It wasn’t fatty, it was too tough. Teriyaki is supposed to have seasoned meat with a charbroil flavor. The meat here was bland and it didn’t taste like it touched a grill. The teriyaki sauce wasn’t good at all either. It was too bland. I’ve been to alot of teriyaki places so I was NOT impressed.
