Bettye’s Burgers

I live very close to Betty’s so I stopped and picked up dinner one night. They had lots of menu items… I ordered a cheese burger with sauteed onions and BBQ sause.. it was great! I ordered my husband a black bean burger but the garlic on it made it almost impossible to eat… He was not impressed, but I’ll go back sooner then later.

It’s hard not to notice the bright yellow building on FM 2410, especially since its right near a couple of parks. I saw the small sign advertising the cheeseburger combo for $ 5, and decided to roll with that. Though the owners were super friendly, and suggested that I call ahead next time to expedite the process, it was an extremely long wait for a burger. When the food was finally ready, I went outside to the front outside seating area. It was much cooler, and the scenery was quite pleasant. The burger had a nice home-​cooked flavor, though it wasn’t that large. It didn’t come with all the trimmings, either. The fries, which were served in a small styrofoam cup, were tasty. I washed the burger and fries down with a can of Dr Pepper. I certainly didn’t feel like I wasted $ 5, but it didn’t seem like much bang for the buck, either. It’s a possible «do-​over» for me.

Stopped over for a quick bite after a hike in nearby Dana park. Big burgers with that homemade feel and taste. Fries could have been a bit more plentiful and they tasted like they were fried in the same grease as the catfish. They also have a good turkey burger and offer a vegan tofu burger. Outdoor seating is nice since we had our dogs with us. Love places like this.

My husband and I recently visited friends who live near Harker Heights, and they raving about a new gourmet burger place. So one day, we loaded up in the car and went to Bettye’s Gourmet Burger. What a treat! Everything about the place was wonderful: great atmosphere, awesome menu and class-​act customer service! We all tried different menu selections, and I could not believe how great the turkey burger and vegan selections were. A definite yum yum, healthy comfort food place! I envy my friends who can enjoy Bettye’s year round!

I like that there’s is now a small burger joint in this area that offers healthier foods. Yes, you can get fries and nachos, but you can also get a veggie or turkey burger. The owners are super friendly and the outside seating area is very cute.
I would like to see the prices either adjusted or a little more bang for my buck. I paid almost $ 7 for a veggie burger with no sides. A pickle spear and a handful of plain potato chips would go a long way to making this girl feel like she got her dollar’s worth.
Wait times are a little long, so this is not a run-​in-​and-​run-​out kind of place. It is across from the community park so an after dinner walk is within reach.
