Hung out in the lounge for a few hours on a Saturday night. There was a small crowd in the place, some playing pool others lounging. I had 1 large(32oz) Superman and later 1 small(8oz) Bombpop daiquiri. I’m not a big fan of the daiquiri so both took a few sips to get use to. Not bad but not strong enough to me. It got better toward the bottom of the styrofoam cups. They also have $ 2 domestic and $ 2.50 imported beer. The Juke box had plenty of choices. Also it’s was crazy watching all the people drive thru or come in and take out orders. The bar keep was super busy but way cool. Its a nice low key kinda of place to just unwind and relax. I recommend it.
When I first moved to Texas, I was shocked that there was a drive through frozen daquiri place like this. We just don’t have places like this back home! The drinks are delicious and full of booze… what’s not to love?

A drive through daquiri joint that uses liquor instead of wine? Yes please! What’s not to love about that? I grew up in Houston where a place called Eskimo Hut served drive thru wine daquiris and I thought THAT was cool. This is the COOLEST! 5 stars all the way.

Believe it when they say you can get a mixed drink from the drive thru. I was amazed by it, and apparently as long as your straw stays taped down you don’t have an open container. It is a nice place with good prices on mixed drinks.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Daq Shaq is still in business! I used to frequent the establishment when it first opened about 15 years ago!!! My bff and I were the original«Normettes» and we spent many a night there. Not always the most happing place in town, but the daiquiris used to kick our asses!!! Back then they were a wine based daiquir, no liquor license, but still damn good. And the drive through was awesome. Not sure who runs the place now, but back in 94 it was Shannon and a few others! May have to make a trip back that way to check out the old Shaq!!!

I don’t think top shelf booze is used, but I’m not going to hold that against Daiquiri Express. They’re slurpees for grown-ups! I ordered the Tonque Twister which is Amaretto Sour, Sex on the Beach and a Cadillac Margarita. It was really tart, which I love and very strong. It was empty on a Wednesday night and the guy working there couldn’t muster up any warmth, but it was cool. If I was in this area again, I’d definitely go back. I’m still tripping out on the drive-thru. We just don’t have that in California.
