Lily’s Cakes

We went to Lily’s Cakes for wedding cake testing and they were so generous and helpful. My favorite was a white raspberry cake and the red velvet. We ended up talking for almost an hour before we left the shop. The owners are very kind and down to earth and made the whole process very enjoyable. We then went to the pizza place next door and the owner’s husband paid for our wine. Class acts all the way :)

Stopped in the other day to get a treat for me (no babies haha) and was greeted immediately. Waited for the customers in front to finish and ordered my favorite Lemon Cupcakes. As always absolutely delicious. My only complaint I wish a little less frosting because it makes it too sweet for me. But I scraped the extra I didn’t want and was happy. Love the flavors. Never have been disappointed with their cup cakes!

Bought an unlucky 13 cupcakes today. Everyone loved them at the office. We have one gluten free person needed to call ahead for a special cupcake. Overall, delicious!

Lily started helping us with our cake today and she was phenomenal. She is exceptionally kind and very friendly. The cakes that this bakery make are amazing! There is so much artistic talent in their bakers. Lily was quick and to the point when it came to details she knew exactly what she was talking about and was very professional as well as friendly. It was probably my best experience from vendors for my upcoming wedding. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Their cup cakes are unbelievable too!

The shop is cute and friendly service but the cupcakes are dry and the icing is way too sweet! I have found and made better cupcake recipes from Pinterest. The cupcakes are not original. And way to expensive for what you get. For the price you pay for 1 dozen you can make 2 or 3 dozen at home for the same price.

I went on a Monday and the cupcakes were fresh, moist, and delicious! Frosting was a bit sweet but that’s applied to all types of Frosting except whipped cream. Definitely would go back when I have time. The people are nice and hard working and I love the variety.

First off the cupcakes is yummy. Husband didn’t like the tastes as much, but I’m willing to try it again. Some cupcakes we had tasted out of the box, especially the lemon/​blackberry cupcake. The lemon flavored cake tasted artificial. The Frostings are also far too sweet. I have a major sweet tooth but I couldn’t eat 1 whole cupcake without being turned off by the amount of sugar in the frosting. We had 6 different cupcakes some was better then others. The Salted Caramel mocha for example was really good! Craving it now to be honest. The banana split was yummy though the filling did taste artificial. We also had a Boston Cream, vanilla cupcake with raspberry, and the red velvet. Would I buy cupcakes from here again? …Yes ! but I know now to scrape off some frosting and buy a lot of milk. ;) and to also avoid the cupcakes with lemon. Beautiful shop and friendly workers.

disappointment !!! cupcakes were dry and tasted out the box. icing was way tooo sweet !!! and the decorative pieces just tasted like suger. spent over $ 100 on a small cakes and a couple of cupcakes that tasted dry and sweet !!! will never come back or recommend !!!
go to cookie addiction down the street they are beyond better and staff is very friendly !

Pros’ — There isn’t one cupcake flavor I wouldn’t buy again. The owner is very friendly and is great at making suggestions
Cons — Icing is very sweet. But that’s not really a con if you like sweets right?

We got our wedding cake and grooms cake here, they were perfect! Everyone loved them and they were gorgeous! They’re cupcakes are perfect and delicious, a bit pricey but honestly you get what you pay for and it is worth it :)

Unfortunately these folks have alot to learn about running a business.
I tried to order a sheet cake with a week’s time to process the order. I was told they were too busy. This was while the service counter girl was on the phone taking orders.
Went to Walmart and got a special ordered cake they way I wanted it and less than half the price of Lilly’s without the drama.
I try to support small business, and I fore see this one failing in the next 24 – 36 months due to the «Can’t Do» attitude.

The associate was able to help me with gender reveal cupcakes when everyone else made it seem impossible with short notice. She was very nice and excited to help with the surprise. The cupcakes were very moist and delicious.

I tried to buy a cake for my son, and was wanting know how much it would cost if they mad him a character cake, she told me I needed to do it like 3 months in advance. Wouldn’t give me a price, and Immediately lost interest in giving me good customer service, and tried to sell me cupcakes instead.
I could see the immediate loss of cust. service in the expression of her face, and her trying to brush me off, and telling me she could sell me a cupcake.
This is sad, b/​c if she would’ve given me a price range, I would’ve definately done it for my daughter or the following year. I’m not going back bc she blatantly showed no interest immediately.
I guess they love selling cupcakes, then change the sign to a huge cupcake instead of a cake. I’ll never go there, again.

This place is the bomb~!! I am not very fond of overly sweet cupcakes, but these cupcakes are so incredibly delicious. Each one is so unique, and really well thought out as far as flavor combinations. They have so many different flavors, and they seem to change seasonally. I would have taken a photo of my cupcakes for you, but they are already gone…

When I was pregnant this was the spot! Now after the baby I don’t get to visit as much, but Lily’s is amazing. I’ve tried almost all their cupcakes and I have to say the Strawberry Shortcake is my favorite. I love the strawberry cream filling. The mint chocolate cupcake is also amazing. I can go on and on about Lily’s pastries and their nice staff, but it’s making me hungry! Stop by, you won’t regret it!

There cupcakes are so very good… I love stopping in on my way home and picking up some fresh cupcakes. There always so friendly and so helpful in there also. Love love love this place…

Cupcakes aren’t dry, they are good as heck! The icing is the best, lightest, buttercream icing I’ve ever eaten!!! Delicious! I eat the cupcakes every so often, and I don’t even make my own anymore. The only thing I didn’t like is they bake when they want to and for who they want to. I went in their and wanted a cake made a week and a half in advance, and they said they couldn’t do it. I over heard a conversation Lily was having with another man, and he needed his cake the week of in about 3 days, and they worked with him… Unfair! Other than that, they’re good! Worth the visit! If u need a cake order two weeks in advance to be safe!

Usually any business with the words pertaining to: sweet, delicious, and fat-​inducing are certain to grab my attention. In this instance, CAKES, was all I needed to know. I’m a frequent passerby on HWY-​190, and couldn’t stand passing by any longer.
Upon entering the establishment, we were given a warm welcome by the owners. They were running a special deal on cupcakes which was great because I wanted to try a lot of them! (Buy 5, get one free. Or, buy 10, get two free). I got the buy 5 deal and the total came close to $ 14. Kinda pricey, but if they were awesome, I could convince myself that they were worth it.
Prices for individual cupcakes are:
$ 1.75/each for vanilla, chocolate chips, red velvet, and marbled.
$ 2.75/each for strawberry shortcake, chocolate Reese’s, Italian cream, Boston cream pie, coconut and cream, chocolate dream, and German chocolate.
$ 3.25/each for Nutella cupcake, or chocolate and strawberries w/​a chocolate covered strawberry on top.
Ok, what did I think? Well first, let me forewarn you by noting that I really can’t tolerate sweet icing, and usually just scrape it off. My idea of «just right» is H-E-B’s elite (whipped cream) icing so my review will be a bit biased (please take that into consideration).
The cupcakes I tried were: vanilla, red velvet, strawberry shortcake, chocolate Reese’s, Boston cream pie, and Nutella. Most of the cupcakes had a large mound of icing, and unfortunately… it was just a bit too sweet for my liking and had to scrape it off :(So, therefore, I was just left with the cake part of the cupcake. Well, hey. at least that part tasted great, but it didn’t justify the price I spent. Hopefully, in the future, they will make some of their icing an equivalent to H-E-B’s so I can eat the whole thing ;)
4* for having a unique bakery in the area to satisfy your sweet tooth. I didn’t knock any stars off because of my intolerance to their icing, but for their cupcakes being on the pricey side.
***They also have cake pops and custom cakes. And, they stay open late!
