Precision Tune Auto Care

I went to this store to get the tires checked. They were incredibly kind and it was quick! And… im not sure if it is free normally but they did tire check for free. OMG. When I went to Pepboys they charged me some that I remember… I just moved Killeen so I just gave a shot by ppl’s review here and it was worthy to try. :)

Of all the auto care centers in the Harker Heights area, I’m so happy I walked into this one. The service was great and the staff was friendly. The manager, Shannon, explained in detail what was wrong and thoroughly explained what was being done to the vehicle to fix it. I came in for an oil change and the check engine light was on. I was so happy they were able to quickly diagnose what was wrong with the vehicle, managed to get the problem fixed, and I no longer had the check engine light on. This was also the cheapest place I’ve been to for a synthetic oil change. I was planning on bringing my BMW to the BMW Austin service department for all my maintenance needs. Now, I don’t think so. This place is great, and I will be routinely be bringing in my BMW to Precision Tune Auto Care in Harker Heights.

I came in today to have my tires checked, an oil change and to have my air filters checked. When I asked them to replace my air filters and they asked me which ones. I replied with I don’t know, whichever are the usual ones, and the mechanic told me not to worry he won’t replace something that doesn’t need replacing. I loved this response! Usually when I go to the quick oil change places they swap everything whether necessary or not. I liked how the mechanics here brought me the filter to to see how gross it was instead of me blindly agreeing to it. Precision Tune Auto Care just set the new standard for me on what I should expect when I get my car serviced! They also pointed out that my tires require nitrogen and not air… The other shop I visited for my tires gas been filing it with air this whole time! The receptionist was kind enough to refer me to a better tire place to check my tires.
The mechanic was super friendly and so was the receptionist. The lobby was nice, clean and roomy with lots of space to sit, plenty of magazines, a coffee bar, kids toys, TV and a soda machine. When I came in, the receptionist told me the wait would be an hour to be serviced and the filters I needed had to be sent over, but they were done way before then.

This place was the best shop I’ve been too! They were quick, extremely knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease! I would recommend them to anyone!

First, I would like to say the mechanic did a great job on all the work, the car is running much better. My problem is they charged $ 350 ($ 270 for the part and $ 80 for labor) for an EGR valve. This is about 3−4x the reasonable cost of a part. They claim that they only use the best parts because their work is backed up by a 1 year warranty. This would be the equivalent me charging you $ 25 for a $ 7 oil filter. They also charged me about double the market value for my vehicles fuel filter. Bottom line, customer beware and make sure you review your estimate. They will charge exorbitantly for any part they put in your vehicle and this is clearly where they are making their margins.

We move a lot due to my husband’s job so finding a reliable place to get our vehicles serviced can be difficult. My husband found this place one afternoon and got his car serviced here. When he got home he sang Precision Tune Auto Care’s praises. So I decided to give them a try. After I dropped off my son at school I made my way here with my 3 year old daughter. The staff was great! They were friendly and knowledgeable. They got my car back into the bays in a timely manner. They even have a place for my daughter to play. She has not been bored once. They have fresh coffee and vending machines if you are so inclined. The only down side that I have found is that they have no heat. They have a fireplace… but no fire. So if you come here in the winter bring a coat. I took my car in to get an oil change and tire rotation. When I got my car back it ran better than it had in months. I don’t know what they did but I am very pleased. Will I take my car there again? In a heartbeat. :)

We’ve been bringing our cars here for years, and we’ve been more than happy. One of our cars is unique and a challenge to service, but Precision Tune has handled everything we’ve thrown at them. Brad and Shannon are friendly, helpful, and they’re good about explaining things in layman’s terms. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years and their service has been wonderful. I’ve seen some people complaint about wait times. The reason for some longer waits is because they have a lot of customers and are thorough. I’d take a long wait for good service any day. How busy they are shows how much people want to come here. I went to brake check and they wanted to charge me $ 500 for rotors and pads. Precision tune charged me $ 150 for the service because brake check was trying to charge me for stuff I didn’t need. Another time they charged me for 6 hours of work. When it only took 4 hours to complete, they refunded me the 2 hours. Precision tune’s honesty is what keeps me coming back.

I had such a great experience here. They all are very polite and explained everything in a clear and unbiased manner. This location will be the only place I take my car to while in the area. They checked out a concern of mine, free of charge and gave reasonable estimates in a reasonable amount of time.

I have always taken my cars here. Good service and almost an A+.
I brought my trailblazer in, the part they thought it was ended up to be something else so they took the part they thought it was that they replaced and switched it back and fixed the real problem with no extra charge.
Only problem was later that day I realized my radio antenna was totally different lol, so i called and they told me the mechanic broke it (bent it) and so he took the antenna off his truck to replace it, while it was nice (seriously) … it would’ve been nice to know before i left lol and got all pissy.
But I will still bring my cars here lol.

I only had a diagnostic done on my car, but I truly felt that they cared for my car’s overall well being. I was told up front the cost and time for the possible next two levels of testing. Along with the upfront cost and time, I was shown and told as well. In hindsight, i wish my car would have gone to them in the first place. I’m glad I found them. I have somewhere to bring my next car.

Came here for a simple oil change and the customer service was EXCELLENT! Waiting area is super clean and front desk lady was pleasant and actually talks to you.
The also found a leak when doing my oil change and offered to lift my car for FREE to inspect it! will definitely come back and refer all my friends here!

Friendly, courteous, efficient, and good value. Highly recommended! I called ahead and they were not busy so I hurried over and got my oil changed. Lots of good magazines kept me busy while I waited, but before I knew it I was out the door. Nice place. This will be my new regular oil change option

We have been in the area for several years and Only take our business to this AWESOME Place the staff is very professional, courteous, knowledgable. And will give you a fair price on all work done.
