Bahama Buck’s

This place is the real deal! Something that was missing in killeen BADLY! Being from the East coast and not having access to something so simple as an ice cream made me miss home. Although they don’t have just ice cream they have it in the drinks which is better than a cone. The flavors are just numerous!!! They have flavors you wouldn’t imagine. The combinations are endless. Inside is beachy and the outside is Bahamas! If no one I know know about this place they will now!

I’ve been to this delightful place quite a few times.
1. Very clean (including the bathrooms), friendly environment and «fun in the sun» atmosphere.
*where Mr. Snow is located lends it a creepy feel*
2. The flavor combinations offered here are endless. Bahama Bucks even has seasonal flavors! They offer samples. I came when it was cold outside. They have hot drinks available too ;)
3. Sugar free and lighter calorie alternatives are here as well. This is one of my favorite alternative deserts here.
4. Staff were very knowledgable about their flavors despite what others have rated on here. They have given TOP NOTCH customers service. In fact, I would give them 10 stars if I could.
5. As far as the price goes, this is a premier place to be for this type of drink, desert, smoothie or shaved ice. You pay for what you get.
6. Last but not the least here is the ice! Light, truly shaved right before your eyes! It literally melts in your mouth. Nope, you don’t have to chew on the ice like some snow cone places. Just savor out the flavor!

Bahama Bucks is the desert place to be in the Fort Hood Area. Reminds me of the shaved ice in Hawaii. It is located in a busy shopping center. I suggest that you back into parking spots or park at the next business area for ease of escape. With the popularity, there will be long lines but they have lightening-​quick service. They boast more than 50 flavors/​combinations for your shaved ice of choice. And hey, you can select real fruits and vegetables to add onto your shaved ice. If you do not want shaved ice, ask for a smoothie. Lastly, the desert options are cheap with a tiny umbrella on top!

I am so impressed with the shaved ice. It is soft as Snow. They have so many flavors to choose from that makes me feel like a kid again.

I visited this place on 3 separate occasions and tried 3 different smoothies. Each time they were watery and tasted nothing like the flavor stated. I’ll just stick to mr. snow and tcby

My family and I go to Bahama Buck’s a few times a month when we are out and about and want a treat. So far we have not had a flavor we have not loved. The staff is always pleasant and eager to help. It is pricy for being ice but like I said it is a treat and we only go when we are out running around. We look forward to our trips there as it is a way for us to sit down and talk in since our lives are usually very busy.

Many flavors. Tasted good. I got the wedding cake shaved ice with vanilla ice cream.

Very clean operation, with a professional staff, lots of options, maybe too many options! The wait staff didn’t exactly explain the menu or make any solid recommendations even after we told them it was out first time. Otherwise, I’d recommend Bahama Buck’s, just make sure your flavor of shaved ice works the particular ice cream you are ordering.

We visited this Bahama Bucks the day after the grand opening and had a pleasant experience. The service was fast and the employees were diligent and attentive (sadly that is lacking in customer service almost everywhere else).
The quality of the sno-​cones were good. All of them were good minus the bubble gum flavor. Add the sweet cream to any and it definitely ups the experience. A star is lost because things are a bit pricey — 1 baby snocone, and 4 smalls (two with cream) was almost 18 bucks.
I’m hoping they make it, we like the location.

This long awaited opening left much to be desired. The flavors were VERY bland but yet left a horrible aftertaste. When looking at the syrup in the cup, you could see a greasy film which I could only think was tons of corn syrup, used for sweetening. Now the cost… WAY WAY WAY TOO HIGH! While it’s sweet to have umbrellas, we wanted a snow cone (shaved ice) and would gladly pay that high amount for one that tasted good.
I will say that the ice had great texture but that’s it.
Guess we’ll be sticking with Mr Snow!

The smoothies were pretty good! My son had the strawberry bliss and I had the banana colada smoothie. I’ve yet to try the shaved ice. Crossing fingers it’ll taste a little like Matsumoto in Hawaii. Definitely coming back to try more flavors! Oh, and I love the punch card they give you!

Still trying to get the aftertaste out of my mouth. The highly anticipated (at least by my household) Bahama Bucks Opening was today. To our surprise we showed up at 11am and it wasn’t very busy at all. This was our first experience at a Bahama Bucks and I had heard good things. We ordered 4 Baby Size Snow Cones and that was over $ 12! Much higher than other places in the area. Here’s what I DID like: Nice and Clean, festive atmosphere. Friendly staff. The spoons and tiny umbrellas. That’s about it.
*2 out of 4 of my party did/​did not like the flavors.
Here’s what I DID NOT like: the cashier wasn’t yet knowledgable about the flavors (this is your point of sale and upsale and I think this is a MUST!) the price was too high in my opinion (you’re paying for the cute stuff!). The MOST important thing: FLAVORS.
I LOVE Shave Ice/​Snow Cones/​Raspas and I have never thrown away a snow cone, ever. Today I threw away 2! I first tried the Mango and it didn’t have a Mango flavor at all, very fake tasting and left a horrible aftertaste. So much so that I even asked if they accidentally gave me sugar free or something. They were kind enough to replace it with White Coconut. Can’t go wrong there right?! Wrong. So wrong. Again left a bad aftertaste. I was so beyond disappointed. My kiddos tried Sour Lemon (LIKED it), Birthday Cake (LIKED it, but I absolutely did not, so incredibly artificial tasting), and Rootbeer Float (Only Sorta Liked it and ended up not liking it). Overall experience Bahama Bucks failed to live up to the hype in the most important area-​flavor.
