I had jaw surgery to correct an overbite(mandibular advancement) 20+ years ago and Dr. Lavelle Ford, DDS was one of the oral/maxillofacial surgeons that did my surgery at DACH when he was stationed in Ft. Hood. Recently, one of the titanium screws holding my jaw together became loose and started to protrude through the gum line from behind my R-molar. Luckily, Dr. Ford was still around, and who better to contact than the surgeon himself? Staff was accommodating and pleasant. Check-in was almost seamless(prior referral was somehow missing on their end, so they had to re-contact my other dental clinic for information), and the wait time was minimal. The extraction process was near-painless(of course, with the help of a local anesthetic) and fast. Plus, Dr. Ford even let me keep the ½″ titanium screw as a souvenir and called me later that evening to ask if there were any complications. I have to add that the side where the screw came loose(R-side) was the work of his partner at the time. When describing his work and because he’s left-handed, he confidently stated, «that’s because it’s the Ford side.» Highly recommended!
