Was not dealt with openly and honestly. Was told several things while looking at the house that were quite different when lease terms were presented. Ex: was told they were responsible for appliances supplied to tenant in house when we viewed home, but lease language said I would have to pay to repair the W/Ds owned by them if they broke down. The yard was nothing but rock hard dirt and weeds, yet Steve wrote in the lease terms that I would be required by the contract to water once per week in winter and twice per week in summer even though house had no sprinkler system. Instead of addressing my concerns, he just never responded to my calls or emails, When I finally reached another family member, I was told they just rented the house to somebody else. They make a big issue out of being a family owned business, but this seems to be a disadvantage for the tenant. Insufficient resources and expertise to deal with the various situations that will always arise. Do yourself a favor and look towards the bigger companies with more resources and better expertise in contracts.
