What a gem of a store. Great meats and unbelievable spices and herbs for sale. This place has CHARM! The owner, Ellen(I think), remembers us non-Mainers when we come visit. She’s been really, really helpful when we needed to know where things were, etc. I think that the Harmony Country Store was the birthplace of the Harmony Players, a bunch of jammers who get together on Friday evenings and sing, play banjo, guitar, etc. The audience grew so large that they’ve moved on up to the Town Hall so more people can attend, perform, and dance to the music in the aisles. too bad, in a way. You can get pizza, beer, bumper stickers, tee shirts, anything you want, and it ain’t even Alice’s Restaurant. I miss Harmony and the Country Store when I’m back home in NYC They are out of business now :(
