Where to begin. First off, the room they had us check into was still being cleaned. Which is fine, if they were busy. They weren’t. Tons of empty rooms so why have us wait for the room to be cleaned. Next, saying the room was «cleaned» is quite subjective, I suppose. I promise you, to any normal person… this is not clean. There were visible stains everywhere. Burn holes in the linens. The bathroom was disgusting. The towel bar was ripped off the wall and multiple tiles missing. The grout was a lovely shade of black (supposed to be white as evidenced by a few places where clean grout was still evident). No HDTV and no wifi. Lets move on to the overnight experience. Well. Ill preface by saying, the walls are extremely THIN and noise travels VERY well. We walked in around midnight to hear extremely loud «sexy» music and the loud sounds of a lady moaning. The couple or more likely… the paid lover, left around 2am. FINALLY! Relief! Oh wait, what’s this… the sound of a cleaning crew coming it to pick up and throw broken glass from the room into a bucket. Then the sound of a very loud, old vacuum. Even that… okay, I get it. THEN, they had the nerve to check someone else into the room at 3am!!! Who also preceded to turn on the TV to HBO (porn) and turn the volume up very loud. The front desk was unwilling to do anything about it, either time. During the moments of «silence,» the sound of multiple people yelling at each other and arguing filled our room. Along with the noise from the expressway, sirens, honking cars, pounding on doors. This was the most horrible, awful, terrible, shocking hotel experience of my life. PLEASE DONT GO HERE.

I stayed here on a last minute trip to Grosse Pointe. I was a bit hesitant to stay her but at 3am I wasn’t really in a position to be particularly picky. I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff at the hotel were unbelievably courteous and waived the check out time since they knew how late I was getting in.
The room was clean and exceeded my expectations. If I need a place to stay in the area I would definitely return.
In the morning they had coffee, pastries and fresh fruit and again were remarkably pleasant to deal with.
