My husband and I came here the week of Christmas to visit my family for the holidays. A little back story here: I’d stayed here one time before while on a short vacation and every day like clockwork I was woken up by a phone call from housekeeping around 10:30 — 11:00, which I don’t particularly care for because I’m on vacation, seeing my family, and staying out late with friends. When I took my phone off the hook they came and knocked on my door. It was just really pushy. So, back to Christmas week… When we checked in we specifically asked if we could not be disturbed. We were on vacation, wanted our privacy, and didn’t want to be woken up every day. The guy at the front desk seemed confused but consented. The following day on, Christmas Eve, we received not one but two phone calls from the front desk before 11 waking us up and telling us that we couldn’t refuse house keeping. So after we got ready for the day we went down to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. He was gone of course since it was Christmas Eve. So we said we wanted a refund and wanted to leave if we couldn’t be left alone. Because it was already after 11 she refused to refund us for the day because it was«past check out time.» So we asked when the manager would be back and she said the following day in the morning. So on Christmas day we woke up early and went down to the office. The manager was already gone but we asked the front desk woman again if they’d just allow us to be left alone and she refused, so we got a refund and left. On Christmas. The motel quality itself is poor, with hard as rock beds, an old school tube TV, broken Wifi, and nothing updated since the late 80’s early 90’s, however it’s in a convenient location to our family and friends. The convenience still wasn’t worth being woken up every day, especially when my husband suffers from insomnia, so we went to the Days Inn on Gratiot in Roseville and despite that it was further away and less conveniently located it was definitely worth it. The beds were soft, the rooms were clean, the tv was made in this century, the complementary Wifi worked, and we were able to put a «do not disturb» on our door so we could sleep in as late as we wanted. Bottom line, don’t waste your time on this half rate motel when for just a few more dollars you can stay at WAY better ones. The cheap stay isn’t worth the hassle.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Downtown, Milwaukee, WI
I stayed one night because I was attending a wedding in the area. This place is clean and simple. Nice to just lay your head and shower, nothing fancy and a great price. I give it 4 stars for a motel/lodge. My only recommendation/complaint is that the towels were not very soft. But they made up for it by supplying Pantene shampoo and not crappy generic stuff and Vaseline lotion which was great since I got sunburned that day. I think I’d stay again if I needed a nights rest in the Detroit area.
