Cool little hiking supply store. Selection is limited due to the size of the store, but they should have what you need. Backpacks, shoes, pants, shirts, jackets, first aid kits, nalgene water bottles, compass, bandannas, etc… Whether you are hiking the Appalachian trail or just want to pick up a few camping supplies, it’s a good store to visit.

Historic hiking store that offers every amenity for the outdoors. As a former rock climber of the hills of West Virginia, it is fun to see the accessories available for the serious camper, or the day tripper. How they get all the stuff crammed into this small space is marvelous, and typical prices for outdoor gear. Neat footware out on the balcony, and the tiny stream running through the basement make this a must see and enjoy store if you are visiting Harper’s Ferry!

There is a tiny stream that runs through this store. Kinda neat. The staff has hiked thousands of miles — if you have questions they are great to ask. Also, they have a large amount of gear packed in a relatively tiny store. This is a great resource for thru-hikers and section hikers. In a tiny touristic town, if you need new socks or a new bite valve for your camelback, fuel for your stove, etc. they will have it. Plus I love their«same shirt, different day» t-shirts. Their sister store is the Harpers Ferry General Store on the street just below, across from the train station. That store has the more touristic items.
